I don't know cause I use Vodafone. My cellular is working just fine and I had a problem of random reboots to fix that, use L-Speed module and set the profile to balanced or performance mode. Sometimes you cannot unlock after the phone has been idle for too long and this fixes everything.

Blocked option to switch selinux enforced to permissive on custom android 10 roms.

I have had Redmi Note 8 Ginkgo since December. From then on, I am waiting patiently for the appearance of refined custom roms. Recently, roms have finally appeared where all camera lenses work! But I miss one thing very much... Since I had the RN4x I have been using the Dolby Plus mod. In the RN8 it clearly improves the sound, has more bass and is louder. I mean the sound on the built-in speaker, not on the headphones. Dolby Plus can handle bass better on the built-in speaker than the Viper4Android.
This mod however requires SeLinux to be permissive. All android 10 roms that I tried have a SeLinux Enforced kernel - for some reason switching between enforce and permissive is blocked. Even some roms do not allow flash another kernel.
How do I unlock the ability to switch Selinux enforced to perrmisive when the magisk SELinux Manager module is not working?

Please read the last sentence of my post. I used two ways to change selinux, they work on miui, on
other custom android pie roms. Is this module from you unique?

I did read your entire post. I was just offering an alternative, so whether or not you want to give it a shot, is upto you. If it works for you, great. If it doesn't, get in touch with your ROM developer. Over, and out. :good:
SELinux
There's an app called SELinux mod changer, try that. I used that to change permission to permissive on my ginkgo(Android 10) and it works perfectly.

Respect man, this magisk module works!
The few modules that I was using apparently did not work properly with android 10. I thought the kernel was blocked in some way, and this is a matter of choosing the latest selinux switcher.
Here is the link to the source where this magsik SELinux Switch module comes from:
https://github.com/nipunnarang/selinux-switch
Do you know how with some magisk module or buildprop modification to:
- set the back button to close / kill the application
- the appearance of recent applications was like in android oreo?
I found scripts for it once, modules and now I can't. I prefer not to install xposed

Good to know it works. I made it. The link you've provided is my GitHub. Also, no, I don't know if there's a Magisk module for those two things. For the former, you can try using Button Mapper. It requires root, but not Xposed. And for old Oreo style recents, it needs a modification to the ROM, which can't be done via a simple Magisk module.

[q] Gpay on lineage 19.1

Hey guys, has anyone gotten Gpay to work on lineage 19.1? I have done the following and have had very odd results. Firstly, I am passing safteynet and my device is registered as play certified in Google play store. I'm seeing where sometimes gpay won't open at all and when it does it says it is unable to load my payment methods.
Specs:
OS - linageOS 19.1 (latest build as of this post)
GAPPS - Mindthegapps (latest build as of this post)
Steps taken:
Installed magisk, enabled zygisk and rebooted
Installed magisk hide props module then rebooted
Installed shamiko module then rebooted
Installed universal safteynet fix (zygisk) then rebooted
Configured denylist in magisk checking GPS (all), and Gpay (all) rebooted
Changed device fingerprint with magisk hide props module to a certified one then rebooted
Additional steps taken:
I cleared data from GPS, play store and Gpay and rebooted
I tried a different device fingerprint and rebooted (clearing data like above afterwards and rebooting again)
I have done a complete fresh install of my OS and tried again from scratch.
I also tried seeing is renaming magisk would help at all, it didn't
It appears I'm getting nowhere with this. If anyone has gotten it to work and has some insight it's be greatly appreciated!
Nevermind, looks like it was an issue from having the pixelify module installed as well. After I removed it it started working just fine.

Hey deathblade!
Thanks for helping me out on the other thread.
Just wanted to check in, did you use the official build or the unofficial one with the Pixel Goodies? I'm intending/hoping to have full functionalities of Google Pay using the unofficial build, but from your post it seems that I can't have the Pixel experience if I want the ROM to work with Google Pay?

I'm using the official build. I think the unofficial has everything needed to use Gpay and have some pixel things baked in. So might be worth a look in your case

I just remembered, the unofficial is setup to pass safteynet out the box, but more maybe needed for Gpay to work. Once you flash it try it out, if you run into issues I can provide what I did to get Gpay working

Not that I've found, however I did notice if you install the pixelify module then uninstall it, it does seem to leave some stuff behind. Like I still have the option to use Hold for me and direct my call. So it might work out where you can install it to get the things you want then remove it to get Gpay working

Nope now playing is still there. I really only used it the module to force call screening to show up. But I have pretty much everything I remember from stock plus a few phone related goodies. I never tried the unofficial build but on the official I do not have that issue

Just also wanted to clarify in the case I decide to install magisk, which module do you install exactly? All of them? Zygisk/hide props module/shamiko/universal safetynet fix?

Ok so here is the breakdown:
Zygisk is not a module, but an implementation method used by modules. Magiskhide props is used to change the device fingerprint to a valid one that registers as protected by google play. Shamiko is for hiding root from Google play services, and Gpay (and whatever other apps may need it). Universal safteynet fix is used to help pass google safteynet checks (security). Not listed is the pixelify module used to add pixel exclusive features but of course with it install it cause havoc on Gpay and other apps so once installed it should be uninstalled.
TLDR
Yes all of them

Nope, I didn't. Other than the modules to hide from banking apps as mentioned above, I installed a pixel launch module here to make it for pixel-like: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-mod-pixel-launcher.4442077/
Other than that nothing else.
It doesn't;t work in the sense that it does not pick up music, even popular ones. The settings are there though, I can see them. It just doesn't identify any songs

General /!\ The latest security update (A528BXXU1CVE1) breaks the camera

My camera doesn't work anymore since this update but I have magisk and the universal safety net fix module (last version)
it is not a hardware problem the camera works well with the bootloader locked
What?

So it does not "break the camera", it makes your camera stop working IF you have the bootloader unlocked.
Stop being so dramatic in post titles, you are not being specific and you are only scaring people for no reason.

Retrying rooting with April Realease and camera works..... weird
My camera works with the April release, magisk 24.3, zygisk turned on and safety net 2.2.1 installed. In the may release the camera fails with same setup. Curious if SElinux permissive helps hmmmmm but can't be bothered trying because of the hassle of starting from scratch to go back to april release.

What I notice is that you are using a weird, uncommon and unusual version of Magisk 24313 !
I didn't even know it existed and I don't know if it's an official one or not...
I will try it and report as it is the first time I have a report from a French phone having this camera issue !!!
Finally, I also see you are using "SELinux permissive" module which I never used so I don't know if it can affect your camera...
I will test both of them to see if one of them can cause the camera issue and I will report... ^^

Magisk canary on Github ! I am not completely stupid to go download anywhere
I discovered that (if you have Magisk of course) you can use the MagiskHide Props Config module to force "BASIC key attestation" (Download and install the module, reboot, open terminal emulator, type "su", then type "props") by spoofing to have a different device (Galaxy A5 2017 is the one I use, others should work fine too though). That way, the camera works, even when SafetyNet fails, without having to force-close after every reboot. Hope this helps.

I can confirm this works on my phone with LUX firmware with the May update CVE2. Set it to use A52 5G (SM-526B). Camera working without reboot. Great find and thanks!!

General Do you miss the MagiskHide function?

If you wish you could have MagiskHide back, here you go. Magisk.5.2-delta
Yes it is a third party version of magisk but with it's MagiskHide function, most banking apps work. But with this version, you cannot turn on zygisk though as that is so easily seen by most banking apps (a good explanation about this is on the page). With this version, my "It's Me" and my bank app work fine without any notices of being rooted. I know also that payconiq works as well. Just have to turn on the MagiskHide and configure the list to hide your apps. As for modules on your phone, use the riru ones not zygisk ones. I have the Lposed riru running fine.
The page for the Delta version has lots of good info including how to switch over to it from the official Magisk. Hope this helps some of you who have resisted rooting your phones for fear of your banking app not working with root. I cannot confirm ALL banking apps or other apps that don't work with root will work, but a lot of them do.
P.S. if anyone uses this, please post any apps that work that previously weren't working with root. I am curious and think others would be too...
