droidsanschinese.ttf is the name of the "system" font inside the .zip/.hwt files no matter what the font actually is. The OS uses the font called droidsanschinese.ttf, no matter what.
On Samsung it's "Roboto.

yes,you can use every font in ttf file format.just rename it to "DroidSans" and to "DroidSans-Bold" and replace the corresponding files in system/fonts using rootexplorer or just create an update.zip containing the renamed fonts in the corresponding folder structure.
Wow, thank you so much paul! This was easy, and works like a gem.. just rebooted, looks wonderful. Thank you my friend
or use flip fonts

but flipfonts only replace DroidSans (default font) and not the default bold one (DroidSans-Bold) shown in the lockscreen (clock),in the keypad when entering pin,in the title bars,etc..
Not sure if they came with Darkys rom ir not but under Setting-Display-Font Style I can choose any one of about 40 fonts. And they change all phone fonts including lockscreen, notications etc.
Edit: You are correct pauldiddy. Although most fonts change the bold ones don't.

Yes, that's just because Darky packed a bunch of fonts into the ROM.

Any of the fonts should work with eb13. A font is a font.

Yep, as the person above said, fonts are just fonts.
If you want to manually change your fonts, name whichever TTF fonts you want to use as DroidSans.ttf and DroidSans-Bold.ttf and copy (using either adb push or Root Explorer) to /system/fonts on your phone. Reboot, and that should do the trick.
If you're looking for flashable font packages, look here:

i have the hero light font but in cwm3 it wont flash them sorry i should of been more specific

There is also an app from the market for free, called "custom font switcher" . I have used it on dk28(froyo) and works great, there are 109 fonts that I see.

Running ParanoidAndroid 6.1?
Download font installer from the market
font installer mate, that options isn't there on the display settings
all fonts are located in /system/fonts/
just grab any font you like from your pc, internet or any other places. you can even take fonts from windows control panel. decide which of those fonts you want to change. renameyour desired to the font you want to be replaced. aaaand replace it!!!!
though for for english/latin font this method is not too easy, cause there are lots of english font and some of didn't name so clearly. but for other languages it's usually a single font.
btw third party fonts, *ones you choose, font installer or flipfonts) are not sized correctly. sometimes they are too bg so they won't shown coorectly in boxes, or they're too small and hard to read. I suggest using of stock or AOSP fonts only.
Guys, thanks for your suggestion and I prefered to download font installer but why I get my phone's bootloop after install and applied font from font installer?anyone knows why is it??

I haven't asked a thing for a long time so here we go!
I tried replacing the Android 4.1.2 lockscreen clock font with the new font found in Android 4.2.
I replaced AndroidClock.ttf but as you can see the date gets moved down but the font stays unchanged.
Any help maaaaaybe?
Hello,
You have to replace three different font files to change the lockscreen font. This will also change the
digital clock widget if the ROM your running has it baked in. Below are the font files you need to replace
and each file is the exact same...just named differently.
AndroidClock.ttf
AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf
AndroidClock_Solid.ttf
Enjoy!
