Hello guys,
1st of all I want to thank every participant in this forum and to those who keeps updating our beloved m8 from day one until now ,
2nd I have tried so many roms from GPE to official/unofficial Sense to lineage based roms and so on but I have never ever stick to any rom because i see a bug in every rom that makes me say to my self "Hmm , it is a nice rom but i will change it because of … Bla bla " so i just want to hear/see from your experience here what is the best bug-free rom, even though if it may need some additions like custom kernel or whatsoever …. and thanks in advance <3
Stock sense is the closest to being bug-free, seeing as it's official software from htc. Gpe rom should be the same case. Stock based roms should be fairly good too.

Hi all,
I would like to switch to a custom rom... but I'm not able to choose!
Is there a post, a document, a website, with a list of all custom roms available on dhd with the main supported features for each one? I'm searching for a overview regarding the customs on the web.
Thanks a lot for your answers.

you could try here, but it's incomplete and doesn't always work
It is very hard to answer your question, because considering new htc roms leaking every now and then, developers keep on updating their rom base. Start with this.. Two types of ROMs , AOSP and HTC Sense base. You need to keep on reading forums to see what sense ROM has got features that you want. Almost all stable sense ROMs will work as your daily driver. As you will be flashing for the first time start with any ginerbread stable htc sense rom (RCmix, leedroid, ARHD are very popular, other developers ROMs are stable aswell). if you want something different then try stable CM 7.0.3.
Start with something and you will be up and rolling...
Hi Folks,
sneaking around all the Forums and Threads about HTC-Desire I came to the conclusion that I urgently need a new ROM on my smartphone. OK, to be honest, it is more-or-less because off this permanent message that my memory is running low.
So I started to gain knowledge about 'root', 'S-Off', 'HBoot', 'Recovery' and all that stuff. It took a while by I managed to 'root' my Desire without any issue.
Bye the way I learned a complete new language and had to jump between several threads to understand all these abbreviations.
Now I struggle with myself as I am not able to decide on which ROM to choose. My favorites are MIUI and Oxygen. But, what confuses me most are the different versions of each ROM. Yes, I read all the threads of most every single ROM but that made the decision not easier.
Is there someone around who can provide some experience with MIUI and/or Oxygen ROMs.
What I really looking for is a nice looking, state-of-the-art, stable and fast ROM as I am not of that kind to flash updates every day.
Did I ever mentioned that my grandchild is laughing at me, so please help me proof that even someone not familiar with all that new stuff will be able to flash a new ROM.
Cheers !!
My suggestion for MIUI is this one:
http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/archived-miui-versions-desire-gb.16551/
It's stock version from MIUI England, without many modifications. You can also check out on MIUI Germany site.
In my signature you have something I made that's based on CM7 with just a few mods.
I'm using the MIUI ROM too, the response I get is way faster than the stock HTC rom. Although it's a shame that development stopped at GB (I really want the scrollable widget in ICS), but some of the guys here are working on ICS/JB ports, might jump onto one of those when they mature.
Hello, i need an advice from you guys.
i've been looking for 5.1 (not sense) builds for the m8, but cant decide which one is better for me or maybe just better overall.
On the other phones i had i used CyanogenMod, now im running SkyDragon Sense 7.0, but i dont like sense, the best thing of that rom is the harman/kardon mod, but the problem is that i get some FC and sometimes it get really really slow.
What ROM i can use that is stable for a daily use and have enough features like the GPE versions?
CM12.1? CyanideL? Team UB ROM? SkyDragon 5.1 GPE? dont know what others 5.1 ROMs are here
Hello guys, which is the best AOSP rom / cm ? I mean Stability and battery . I am now software stock, but the pure android attracts me more. The thing is I do not want to install one build every week , I want something stable . Thank you
CM is very stable. I like it very much and would recommend it. Sorry for the very late answer

Running latest Cm nightlies, runs great
Hello friends. I am on MIUI 10.2 . I just want to ask if it is better to change to a custom rom? or there are no much differences between stock rom and custom roms?
If you prefer switching to custom roms, just give your reasons, and if you prefer stock rom, mention why stock rom is better
I would also like to know the answer. Currently I'm on Masik 1.5, but its becoming a little bit sluggish. I want to know if custom roms have full screen gestures like in MIUI and if the camera quality is compared to stock.
Are you from the future? There is no MIUI 10.2 ?
So far the best ROM is stock one. Custom have lots of problems and bugs. You wont find any perfect custom rom. There wil bel always some problems.
I've tried Pie ROMs, for now MIUI is enough, pretty stable and with a lot of features, our device is supported from Xiaomi, maybe a custom ROM will be a good idea after 1/2 years (in my opinion)
