Hey Guys just got an advertisement for a site called Simply Carbon Fiber which offers a Carbon Case but you simply don't find any reviews on the Pixel 2 XL case so i thought I just ask here if someone has this case or can tell me about that
Here is the link btw:
https://www.simplycarbonfiber.com/c...cts/google-pixel-2-xl-carbon-fiber-phone-case
I tried one on my note 8 and I liked it except for open top and bottom, if this one isnt open on top and bottom I would buy
I contacted them its closed all the way around so I bought one! LOL

So far I love it!! Just put on tonight! Thinner then my Spigen, looks unreal in person, full protection for once from scf and I'm a fan! Only negative is power and volume buttons are flush with case so you have to know where the buttons are but I'm ok with that as I've been using pixel so long I know where they are lol Otherwise sides are very grippy with a nice rubber texture (see photo). If anybody has any specific questions feel free to ask I'll try to help. This will be my weekend/going out, not at work case basically on and off with my leather wallet so I'll get a little use in this weekend

Loving the minimalist look with the carbon fiber back! The price seems pretty steep for just the back being carbon fiber. How do the buttons look on it?

Yes I tried most the Spigen cases, Diztronic, leather wallets etc
Favorites are these-
Daily Case: Spigen Rugged Armor, just right amount of protection without being too thick while not being overly thick if that makes sense
Weekend Case: Davis Leather Wallet case, just because I love wallet & leather cases & it is both! Great genuine leather, well worth the money. Also now the SCF Carbon Fiber one will get some weekend use too because it is super thin, almost like phone doesn't have a case on it and oh yeah it looks unreal in person!
Edit: Should also mention the Google Fabric Case was one of my favs I tried but exposed bottom was too risky to damage phone to me so I sold but over great style and feel! If they made with all sides closed I would buy again in a heartbeat!

wow that some suggestions, i really heard a lot of good things from the Spigen case also know a lot of people who have this case, i am using the Fabric Case on my love it really but at this temperatur we have right know with my working cloth the case is at least sweating as much as is do, another case i really thinking about is the RhinoShield CrashGuard because im actually really careful with my phone so i dont need that much of protection:good:
I have the rhinoshield solid suit and it's really bulky. It makes the device huge.on the bright side you don't even care when you drop it. I'm considering the scf now
But is not carbon radio proof?
Here is my experience with this terrible company. Order both case and screen protector which was in stock. Asked for a week when is my order going to ship. Ordered 7/27 - today they tell me - USPS lost my order and they are out of stock and they are refunding my money. What a bunch of BS - they never shipped anything and made up a lie to cover their poor customer service.

Yes you`re right but i dont think it`s 100% carbon fiber and it`s just the back which is really coverd with this material

Here you go buddy. Lighting isn't that good also it's a xiaomi camera not a pixel one
As I said it's really bulky and heavy and removal is really hard but that 11ft drop certification makes you worry considerably less

I'm pretty much a minimalist when it comes to phone cases.
I already have ghost armor film on the front so I just need a bumper that protects the side bezel, just like iPhone 4's. I'd rather not have back cover since I have a white gs2.
Is there anything like that available?
nothing, how about something like this?http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-TPU-T...405692?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cc0116ebc
I'm the same, i have the white one with the d3o case. I find myself taking the phone of the case alot because it just flat out interferes with the beauty of phone.. O think what he's looking for is something along the lines of the iphones iband.

I'm pretty sure D30 had release them. They had it where you can have the bumpers only, or with the clear back. I saw them while I was inside the T-Mobile store a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if they have it in all the corporate stores.
I'm surprised there is not many option available for t-mobile version gs2... I just ordered white version of elbarto's link though it's not exactly what I was looking for.will post picss once I receive it. thansk everyone
I take that back, it was for the Galaxy S 4G, not the Galaxy S II 4G
The D30 flex protect is the closest thing to a bumper for our phone.

Clear TPU Case
Have you considered getting a clear TPU case? I also have the white GS2 and I ordered this case right here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00620FT76/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details
Honestly, I think it looks ****ty on the black model, but I can vouch for it on the white one. It fits snugly on the phone and has power button and volume rocker cutouts. It's nice because it's totally transparent and you can see the white back. If anything, it just makes the phone look more badass.

Not taking any chances with this device. TPU cases offer minimal protection against drops, sure its cheap but I'd rather dish out the extra bucks for a reliable case. I have dropped my device many times already from carpet (not much to that I know ) to hardwood floors and the case has kept my device looking like new.

Yeah theres no padding in a tpu case. People like the d30 because both the flex protect and defender offer padding and scratch protection.

Just got the case and it looks fairly good. Back cover is frosty transparent so it still shows off white. It does add some bulkyness to it but it's close to what I was looking for: http://goincase.com/products/detail/snap-case-cl59594/2

If you are minimalist, then you don't need a screen protector for your device. The screen of your device is pretty resistant (Gorilla corning).
For case, I am also looking for one, the thinnest I have seen are the carbon ones. TPU ones are a bit bulky IMO.

I'm still digging my D3O. I've yet to experience big drops (I'm really hoping not though). People complain too much over the buttons saying that they are too hard to press but really they soften over time.

Word. Mine are much softer now after a few weeks of use. Cutting them out seems like a mistake... the buttons are protected by the case if dropped.

Never had to, usually at&t has plenty. They actually blamed it on Hurricane Sandy, said interrupted deliveries.
I got a cheap one for 7 off ebay & ordered the Samsung White Note 2 case from mobilecityonline.com for $19.99. I'm going to not go case crazy like I did on the SGS3.
i don't normally get a case since i usually hate most that ive had, but i actually love the samsung tpu case. it is super thin, good coverage, rubber sides, plastic back that resembles what the phone looks like underneath, and lip that goes over the screen. you can get it 50% off on samsungs website with the coupon code, so $15. totally worth it.

its thin enough that you may mistake it for there being no case on there at all, just like the samsung tpu cases for the GS3. heres a thread with lots of pix and review for it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970161

Seriously, I might give it a go. As long as you can leave the flip cover folded over the back of the device for the times you want to be able to see the led notification then I should be fine. But I dont plan on getting a screen protector and for throwing it in my pockets or laptop bag the flip cover might do its job in protecting the big screen.

It doesn't feel too bulky. I really like the size with it on. Volume buttons work great! It is shiny but I like how you can still see through the case to see the v20 on the back.
Agreed! And it isn't slippery!

Thx my friends
I almost purchased one last night until I viewed the camera lense protection. It's pretty much flush with the case. With all hand full of v20 camera lense shatters being reported I feel the lense should be recessed a little more.
The case did have fantastic protection around the outside edges. Best I have seen to date for a V20, the phone would literally bounce when hitting the ground.
I got that same case when I bought the phone, I like it a lot and it reminds me of a ringke case (my favorite case maker and my last 3 phones have used them) i noticed that the large cutouts on the bottom actually fit my pinky well when holding the phone with one hand.
I normally wouldn't get a case from the store since they are so over priced compared to online but this phone was too slippery to risk waiting for a case to arrive in the mail.

I just picked up a UAG at my local ATT yesterday. They just got them in. Case is above camera lense at estimated 3/16 of an inch. I like it a lot and not too large. Call around maybe you can go compare at your local ATT and decide which you like best
I got the Ringke ONYX in the mist gray color. It matches the phone well, and protects the camera (my phone took a 5' drop flat on its back onto concrete last night).

Where did you get it from?? I've looking all over for it. It 's not even available on the tech21 website
Tmobile carries it.
I'm late, but I can say that the tech21 case is pretty good. It looks cool, nice to hold, does a good job of protecting the phone. I would trust the Case-Mate Tough I had on my Galaxy Nexus even more, but that thing increased the size of the phone a lot. Fine for a small phone, but with the V20 that would have been way too much. I've also had a Spigen Neo Hybrid on my G5, but that too was flawed. It was slippery and the shape was uncomfortable in the hand... there was a sharp corner.
So the tech21 is perhaps the best case I've ever had.
So I'm waiting on my OnePlus 3T. Other than that the overpriced Otterbox and what's OK Amazon, has anyone found a good rugged case that doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone? Thanks.

So I'm waiting on my OnePlus 3T. Other than that the overpriced Otterbox and what's OK Amazon, has anyone found a good rugged case that doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone? Thanks.

Some people might say that an Otterbox case is overpriced. While I agree that they are certainly costly compared to other cases out there, they do offer some pretty good protection. I see it like this... Some people get insurance on their phone because they know that one day they might need to make a claim and get a replacement phone. Me personally, I've never had insurance on a phone and have also never broken a phone. So instead of paying a monthly fee for something that might happen, I pay a one time fee to ensure that I'm getting good protection on a costly device. With that said I do have an Otterbox case for my OnePlus 3T and so far it's been great.
You can take a look at Poetic Cases. I'm rocking now the Revolution on my Moto Z Play, model made for Z Force, and I can tell you, for under 20$, u cannot find other 2 pieces case with protection on display, some plastic. The plastic will scratch easily but in the end, not the shell worth, just the nucleus . It's a little bulky, steady in hands and the back piece is made from hard plastic and the edges of it from some nice good TPU.
Sorry for my bad english skills. Hope you got the ideea.
anyone thinking about rhinoshield? (https://rhinoshield.io/collections/oneplus-3)
I saw a video on youtube where a dude using this bumper case on his 3, tried getting the phone damaged by dropping the phone from various heights. the phone was unscathed even after falling from 22 ft (2 storey up). however in general usage, the phone will (likely) not be falling from a 2 storey building but a user's pocket height, so the case seems good. however, at 25 USD, it feels a bit pricier. but i guess that's a better protection/weight tradeoff than most fully phone covers.
what's your opinion guys?
I use a Spigen Neo Hybrid Case on my 3T and I love it!!!
Good protection yet slim (adds 3,25mm thickness) and beautiful!
For my eyes it is the best looking case out there that adds enough protection.
And even the price is not bad with 14,99 Euro here in Germany or I think $17,99 on amazon.com.

I found this Orzly's case so good, maybe too width for you though. Look up for "Orzly® Grip-Pro Case" (XDA does not allow me to share links yet)

I have this case. Works well, and will work with the oneplus 2 holster from Seidio if you are so inclined. Also works with the TGSP without causing the edges to lift up.
Definitely would recommend and second the spigen case.

The faux carbon fiber look at the top is great too, gives a D-Brand kind of feel to it.

Could you give me precise measurement of the case (with calipers )? I'm currently using a Tudia Merge (rugged dual layer) and I find it kinda wide and thick (that's what she said...). This Spigen looks good, but I don't want to spend yet another $10-$15 if they're the same.

Oh, I didn't think about that. Sometime they do put them a bit smaller than real life, but I guess I can still get an idea about it.

It's covering the microphone on the back!
The answer is OtterBox always. I have it in black and it feels awesome. Best protective case.
Picked up the Otterbox when I ordered my phone. Not sure how $25 is considered overpriced for the protection you want.
You get what you pay for.

Hey guys. Well. Where to start....
Today when I opened my case I saw a scratch somehow on the phone and it doesnt mind me at all since its hidden but just sad that it happened.
The picture below is the phone where you can see where the scratch is and its not that big as in picture but yes....

and it is this case:
I heard mixed about this case and unfortunately there became a scratch ...
However im searching for a new one and what I kinda want is that I goddamn what a case that doesnt collect dust around the screen where the picture says which is really annoying and also a case that is really grippy. Means that it is not slippery. I was thinking about fabric case from Google, Whats your thought?
I have the carbon fabric case for the XL 2 in the UK.
GET IT! I love it!
Any case will gather dust around screen unless something similar to the LED Case from Samsung that just uses plastic inserts to attach it.
But the XL 2 case is lovely... Much better than the Pixel XL Case from last year...
Hope ive been some help

Woah it looks so nice! I have seen alot of reviews around it but one thing got me not willing to buy it, Apprently there is a gap between the case and where you charge your pixel, is that true? Because what if something etc a small stone gets in, wouldn't that case madness inside?
Nope fella... There is no bottom lip if thats what you mean. Ive attached another photo for you. But there aint no stone getting in there! Very tight fit too!
If thats a deal breaker for you, i can understand.
But for me i think its great - I love it. I consider it better then the Alcantara cases from Samsung for the Note 8 I have.
Thats saying something!!!
You wont be disappointed either - I think that all cases have their drawbacks etc... But its natural. Im usually quite careful with my phones / gadgets.
Finally - I would say if you want a decent case, check Spigen out... They are my favo non-OEM manu.

By the way! Forgot to ask, How is the grip? Can you hold it with one hand without slippery? Sorry if I mighy ask too many questions, Im thinking more because its kinda expensive Case so I want every penny to be worth it! Also how is the screen? Does the case make so the screen doesnt touch the table etc. when you have the screen on the table or?
Just buy it already... Grip is fine for me...
? Case is slightly raised above phone...

Yeah! Do you might know what screen protector he is using?
Not a clue but he bought it from Carphone Warehouse.
But it doesn't curl around the sides...
I personally don't us screen protectors though
Just chiming in, I have one of the Google fabric cases and love it. As for the dust, I have issues with dust, along with other people as well, I just use a clean toothbrush once a week and lightly brush out the dust, works well for the speaker grilles too. As for the scratch, did you by chance drop your phone?

Ohhh okey! How are the stains after using fabric case?
Also I have not dropped it, the only way I can think is that either my nails somehow removed it or ..... thats the only thing I can think off. :crying:
I have the same kind of scratch.

I would say about two months or more, I love the case, it has a nice texture, good grip, and of course it fits nice and snug. It has protected from a fall onto concrete so far. On a side note, I have a chip out of my phone that is almost identical to the posters above, happened when I dropped my phone from about 1 foot on to a tile floor before I had a case on the phone......and that was the day I bought the Google case lol

I will live with this, but honestly for a 1000$ phone it's not correct.
