I can upload the fastboot tgz for you if you need it if it doesn't work.
I called customer service, they have no technical support for smartphones in US. They send I had to send an email to global team.
Whatever fasrboot tgz is I guess I can try it if I do not need to be rooted or need a Rom, etc etc.

Well you can also update mannualy with a zip from the updater app. You don't have to unlock or flash anything for that. I can link you the zip, do you want MIUI 9 or MIUI10? Both are based an Oreo but MIUI 10 is in BETA right now.

i mentioned earlier where u can get the full firmware, it is a 3.1 GB file, and here are the methods i have tried
sdcard dload force flash
extracting the images and flash them individually using adb, for that u can use huawei update extractor, and for going into fastboot mod, plug in your phone and press power+volume down, tell me if u had any luck booting up

But what if we are actually on naugat so do we have to flash 8.5.6 and if so a link to updater zip would be appreciated:good: coz its just that the update size is way too small compared to actual update so should we update it using this pakage?

You don't need to update to 9.5.6. This will ROM will take you to 9.5.11. It is a official ROM, so it can be flashed normally from Recovery.

Yes it was released as update to those on 9.5.6. But the recovery ROM gives you the complete package of the update.
If you are having the cannot update issue and have the global variant of the OP9 Pro, you probably had flashed the EU (or other / wrong software version) boot.img.
If your software version is anything other than 11.2, (including 11.2.1.1) you will need to get a boot.img from someone else or pull it from OnePlus website for your software version (once OnePlus gets to adding the OnePlus 9 Pro to their website) for that OOS Software version and can still use the following, but replace steps 3 and 6 with your .img file name.
If your software version is 11.2 and you have a global model, the stock boot.img for global 11.2 is attached.
Simply plug your phone into the computer with USB debugging enabled and trust the computer for the adb connection. Open up command prompt window and make sure you cd [platform tools \ adb directory], a.k.a. change the command prompt directory to your platform tools / adb folder.
Type in the command prompt window: adb reboot bootloader
Once in bootloader, type: fastboot boot 11.2_global_OP9Pro_boot.img
Verify the phone boots
If it boots fine, follow step 2 again then...
Once in bootloader, type: fastboot flash boot 11.2_global_OP9Pro_boot.img
You will now be unrooted and able to update your OP9 Pro to the latest software version, which is currently (as of 4/2/21) 11.2.2.2.
All credit goes to purpleman2k for providing the boot image on 11.2 Global and other diagnosing help.

Prior to this it would download the OTA update but I would have error installing. I'm not unable to download it.
Do you know where the OTA is download is stored so I can manually remove it and try to download it again
do I use this if I want to get back on the global firmware? I flashed the EU to get the latest update as I couldn't get the updates due to my EU boot.img.
Also, do we patch it to get root again?

first download the fastboot rom for your phone from this link
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
and then extract the rom file .
download miflash from this link
Xiaomi Flash Tool - Official Mi Flash Tool
Download the latest and Official Xiaomi Flash Tool from the Official Xiaomi Flash Tool Website.
xiaomiflashtool.com
open miflash and click on select then choose the extracted stock fastboot rom folder. this folder will contains images. then connect the phone in fastboot mode. at the bottom right of mi flash app choose " clean all". be careful NOT to click on " clean all and lock" in mi flash tool, and then click refresh your phone should be displayed. check screenshot. then click flash. it will flash stock rom. at the end there will be a error dont worry about it. it is giving error because we are not locking bootloader. now you are in stock rom. let it boot into rom. after that just follow the instrutions mentioned in OP . this is the method i follow and it works fine for me.

i tried restarting and i didnt use twrp or magisk. its a clean flash.
Flashed this rom and been using it for an hour only. So far not good. Setup wizard took solid 5 mins to open up. After setting up the phone and installing the necessary apps I found out that the apps are not opening . Either they crash or take 3 to 5 min to open up. Am I missing something? What about others? Pls do share your experiences. Anyway I believe the dev is very capable and will release a better build later on. Has lot of customisations though.
it does not matter its initial build
