I have a tablet samsung Galaxy tab 3 10.1 GT-P5220 and I’d like to upgrade the firmware to Android 7 with the ROM Lineage. In order to get the tablet modded I rooted it, installed TWRP and then resetted the tablet to the factory data and installed the ROM Lineage and Gapps. The Tablet seems to work well but I noticed some problems in the dial. In particolar the earphone/sound and microphone during calls doen’t work. The tablet is able to do the call but nor the earphone/sound nor the microphone works. I have noticed those problems only in dial. For instance if I launch a Youtube video I’m able to listen the sound. I tried to install 2 different version of Lineage “ lineage-14.1-20171118_174346-UNOFFICIAL-santos10lte “ and “lineage-14.1-20180422-UNOFFICIAL-santos103g.zip.md5” but the the problem is always the same. Is there any stable version without such a problem?

Hello World
I'm a OpGP user in Korea. I don't use E98X like most of you guys. I use F240(which is basically the same thing except the antenna... or not?)
I recently downloaded Harmony 12/10 ROM and I flashed it to my device
It works perfectly EXCEPT the dialer app. I can dial but I can't call.
You know how a when you press call a new screen appears like a new app? That seems to be the problem. My phone freezes for a couple of seconds and then reboots.
I tried changing the dialer.apk but it won't work. HELP

Also, no audio. Not just in phone calls, not at all.

Have you got a backup? I would make sure everything was working well there first.
If you have already factory wiped and still getting this same error, then you might want to backup your files to your computer and format internal SD then factory reset again, then sideload a ROM.
If you are failing to get audio working for any ROM including stock then it is a fault
Hello fellow XDAers,
I recently went through the flash dance for my Sprint Blue L710 S3 16GB to switch it from some old version of CM 10(.2?) to the latest nightly of CM11. I essentially followed this guide to get my phone up to the latest and greatest and flashed pa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.4-20141110 to give the the level of GApps I'm comfortable with.
Now I tried to follow the same guide with my wife's Sprint "White" S3 32GB L710. Right off the bat the phone wouldn't boot after the oneclick flash - it got stuck on the loading screen (I waited 30 minutes on the boot screen before giving up... twice). Only after I flashed Philz 6.5.14 recovery was it able to properly boot into the OS (potentially a PIT problem, but all 32GB PIT files seem to be removed from the web). In the stock ROM, phone mic, sound, voice dialer, and Google Search all worked (and I tested this several times during recovery attempts). It noticed it hadn't taken advantage of all 32GB available on the phone, so it decided to expand the partition itself (bonus?). Then I flashed the latest nightly CM11...
Once booted, I cannot get the dialer to behave correctly. I installed the GApps after booting up the ROM once (and tried again on a fresh install by installing it prior to first boot). Immediately after boot, using the Phone app and dialing a number the screen turns to a blank (black) screen. The phone dials fine, but once connected to the number being dialed, there is no sound or mic. When I open the Sound Recorder app, it says "internal application error" and "microphone may be in use". When I try to do "OK, Google", it acts like the microphone isn't able to be accessed. When I open Apollo to listen to anything, DSP Manager force closes. It's as if the hardware can't be accessed by the ROM. SMS, cell network, WiFi, and GPS all work. It seems familiar to this CM thread, but the same steps aren't working for me.
I've flashed a few ROMs based off of AOSP (Slim and AOKP mainly), but none of them seem to allow me to utilize the mic and speaker of the phone. Only ROMs based directly off of sto k ND8 let me "phone out". For instance, stock ND8 works as well as Wicked-X.
I've flashed multiple ways, cleaned/formatted several times, and tried all sorts of tricks to get this to work on my wife's phone. I'd like to believe I've done enough research to feel like coming to the community is my last resort. As a software developer myself, I know there's probably something simple I've missed, but can someone please help me figure out why my "blue" L710 is working but not my wife's "white" 710?
Thank you very much in advance.
Hi guys,
I've got a little problem.
I'm on OP3 OpenBeta 11 (actually i'm using multirom and I've got this problem with all the rom that I've tried, OB10 OB11 Oxygen 4.02, cm14 in the last 2 days).
Two days ago I took my father car (Kia Sportage) and I connected with the bluetooth in order to use spotify and the phone call. I'm used to do so everyday in my car (Kia Rio) without any problem.
In the evening I had flashed as secondary Freedom 2.4 and the phone simply won't boot, so I delete it from recovery and all seems fine on the other roms.
Until the day after, phone call via bluetooth became buggy and mute, I cannot hear and I cannot be heard, although Spotify and other music/video app work fine.
I've tried to flash new rom, to use other bluetooth device, but the calls remain always mute.
So before I completely restore the device, is there some magic firmware which could help me? Like wifi firmware, radio firmware or something like that, which could be corrupted by freedom rom?
Thank you for wasting your time for this!!
The media streaming from the phones to some in car audios was messed up since nougat (both on open betas and stable releases). Any rom using those bases would probably have the same issue.
But, since today, it seems fixed in Open Beta 12.
I was posting about it on reddit earlier:
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/5wu6in/open_beta_12_released/ded2peg/
btw, I understand this was not the answer you were looking for as you're trying not to flash an entire rom again, but from my experience with nougat roms so far, it's really the best thing you could do right now: flash Open Beta 12. BT working flawlessly and way smoother than any previous beta too...
Just for info:
The ROM doesn't resolve the problem (I couldn't call, but media were working fine). I had to delete all, now is working with every rom, right now I'm on OB12
Thank you for your answer
So I recently got a Gear S2 for Christmas, and I also have a Samsung S4 Mini Plus (i9195i) running Lineage OS 15.1 (8.1), but obviously, Samsung doesn't like their devices being rooted and flashed with custom ROMs. Whenever I try to install Samsung Gear Manager from the Play Store, or any of the components for it, they all say they are incompatible with my device. So I went and looked for a solution. I eventually found this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...d-samsung-gear-app-android-n-samsung-t3547035
I attempted to install it, and all worked until I paired it. As soon as I paired it, it displayed "Gear S Plugin has stopped working." I have also tried this method on Lineage OS 14.1, but with the same result. So I kept on digging, and also found this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/gear-s2-gear-manager-touchwiz-romscm-rr-t3743138
So I attempted this, and basically bricked the ROM I was using. So then I got a fresh Lineage 15.1, and now I'm here again, trying to find something to do to fix this. I have tried almost everything I can think of or find with no luck. Can anyone help me?
I have an old Samsung Galaxy Pro 8.4 Tablet (the model is SM-T320 and called mondrianwifi) that I'm trying to breath life into. I rooted it with ODIN + CF AutoRoot and then installed TWRP. I was able to successfully install Lineage OS several times, but I never got the sound to work.
First I tried Lineage 17.0-20191204-UNOFFICIAL-mondrianwifi (Android 11) with the corresponding GAPPS for Android. I had no sound in the Samsung media player, when playing VLC, etc.
So I wiped it clean and tried Lineage lineage-13.0-20180121-nightly-mondrianwifi (Android 6) with the corresponding "gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20220215" ... I booted it up and all programs seem to run fine...except it also doesn't play any sound.
Both versions are supposed to be supported and compatible according to forums at xda-developers.com and the website I got it off of.
I then tried ColtOS v6.5Euphoria-mondrianwifi-20201109-Official - and that also installs with programs running but the speaker sound doesn't exist.
The only way to get sound is to plug a headphone into the 3.5mm jack or use a bluetooth speaker.
Googling lineageosroms.com shows the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (SM-T320) is called Mondrianwifi, so the Roms I downloaded that have Mondrianwifi in their names should be correct. https://lineageosroms.com/mondrianwifi/#start-the-build
Any help would be appreciated.
@Intranetusa
The chosen ROMs are correct for your device.
To exclude the possibilty of a hardware problem I think it might be helpful to return to stock via Odin, test speakers and start all over again.
Btw. CF-Autoroot is afaik only necessary if you want a rooted stock ROM.
When planning to flash a custom ROM anyway there's no need for that.
