Hello,
I have a huge problem with my Mi 6.
I left it to charge during night and in the morning I found it completely dead.
There is no possibility to turn it on, after plugging charger not even led blinking. Nothing. I cannot also turn it on to download or flash mode....
I tried different chargers - nothing, tried to charge it more - nothing.
What happened? Before that it worked without any problem.
It seems a hardware problem, maybe you have to go to a Technical Service.

Hi
I have a RedMi 1S running V45 (Indian Version). I am using this mobile since last 1 month. I am facing a strage issue with the phone.
Whenever the battery drains completely and the phone get switched off, it is taking forever to switch on the phone even after charging. I atleast need to charge it for 1 or 2 hours to see something on the screen. Its like the phone is completely dead.
I tried taking of the battery and inserted it and then charged. At this stage only thing I notice is the status LED glows in RED for a couple of seconds and like dead. After one or 2 hours, I see that LED starts blinking in RED. After this I need to wait for another 30 min or 1 hour to be able to switch on the phone. It is like the phone is taking almost 2 hours to get the initial charge to switch on the phone.
Is anyone facing same kind of issue?
Thanks
No mine is fine..
It only takes about 10-15s normally to gain initial charge to boot up !
Maybe some issue with charging?
No such issue faced yet. Once mine got fully discharged , but started in few seconds of charging.
Issue with the Charger
Hi
Looks like issue/compatibility with the Charger. I was using Samsung 2.5A charger which I bought for old mobile. Today, I tested with the original MI charger and the phone immediately showing the charging status. The MI original charger is 2A one. But still I think it has some compatibility issue with other chargers.
Thanks for your replies.
Dont!!!
@mail2eswar Please Dont use any other charger except xiaomi charger!! Its Snapdragon 400 8228 and it actually supports Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 but its not working (donno bcaz of kernel or its locked) So if u use any other charger u'll end up in SoC failures :silly: and leads Motherboard replacement!!!! :cyclops:

Don't ever use another's phone as your Charger. Different V and A are the main cause of your issue.

Did you get any solution for this issue I'm facing the same the same problem. I'm unable to restart my redmi 1s
Eaxct same problem on my Redmi 1S
Exactly the same issue with mu Redmi 1S. Initially everything was fine. Then one day I lost my original Charger (1 Amp) , and I started looking for a replacement charger. I got one 2 Amp Fast charger from a local store and initially everything was fine and the Phone used to charge fine but then it wont hold the charge for too long. So I started using my Redmi Note4 charger which again is a 2 Amp charger.
But as I see is that if my phone is once drained fully, it is not easy to start back. 2 Amp charger connected for 3 hours straight did'nt help, apart from the intermittent flicker of the LED once a while. No battery charging animation on the screen.
Then I took 1.2 Amp Nexus Charger and behold the full screen battery charging animation pops up immediately. I could start my phone while charging.
My inference is that get an original Xiaomi Redmi 1S (1 Amp) charger if you can. Or else suffer like me
i have the same problem . did you fix it
exactly same problem here. Difference is that I'm using Redmi 1s for more than 3 yrs and suddenly out of nowhere these happened ( after battery discharged its not starting and a red led is blinking, even removing battery and connecting to the charger didn't work). Someone mentioned here not to use different charger, probably they r right bcz I used samsung charger while this happened. Went to Mi Authorized Servicing Centre they told Motherboard is damaged and will cost Rs. 4800/-. No way man! my Mi was of 5999/- not gonna fix it with 4800/-. I'll rather go for a new one.
can i solve this problem by changing another os
Yes You are right. Today after complete battery drain, I have connected phone to another charger that time LED on mobile start blinking so I assume that it started charging while it was not. After another one hr I tried to switched on but it was not switching on so I was worried and I started searching solution, Strangly when I connected Orignal Charger , it immediately shows battery symbol which was showing 0% charge. Thanks to this thread which help me to find solution.

So one morning I woke up and saw phone keeps rebooting(bootloop).I had breakfast then came back to pick it up,and i connected it to charger and phone was totaly dead.I tryed other cables but still same result.Only way to power it on is when I use original cable and connect it to charger/pc.Then red led turns on and display showing low battery, and led keeps blinking.Sometimes it can boot into system and works for few minutes and shuts off cuz 0%.I changed battery but everything is same,I also can go into TWRP.
**I TRIED EDL MODE/two pins or whatever and my PC is not showing Qualcom driver or anything else in relation with phone.
It might be the usb socket Problem....

did you notice this is the Mi 5S forums, not the Mi 5 forums? maybe you'll have better luck asking in the Mi 5 (no S) forums.
unless, of course, you made a typo in the title.

Oh,you're right,my bad.
Hello all,
Lately my Mi6 has been with some kind of problem when charging. Here's the deal:
I'll charge my phone to 100%, and in the next day, when I need to charge again, it does not charge- meaning it will not assume the charger is plugged in.
The thing is, if I turn off my device and start it again, it will assume the charging again. It can happen sometimes it does not assume the charging after restart, so i'll need to restart yet again the phone.
The phone when turned off does assume charging. I've factory reseted my phone, but it didn't change the bug.
What should I do? Is it even a hardware problem?
Dis u tried with another cable anotjer charger?

Hello everyone!
MY MI 6 DIED while on charging.
I used a new charger, mobile popped message that the device is heating up, ( device did not feel hot in hand) I quickly removed it from charging and tried to restart. It shut down while restarting and never turned not.
Computer could not detect it. it was showing No sign of life. It got it checked from local technician. He said its board had issues. Some IC had fried. New IC is not available in the market. Will have to search for new board from spare mi 6. (all on luck).
I took it home and used 33w mi 10t charger on my dead mi 6. it showed white LED blinking on top right, NOT booting, not charging.
LED blinks for once when plugged in on charging.
Any guesse what's wrong with mi 6?
Is it bad battery or dead board?
Thanks in advance
dear affineer,
same happened to me, when dropping my phone into the sea.
the led was blinking a few times while i charged it. since that, no sign of life.
the phone gets recognized on the pc, as QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLOADER 9008. mi flash tool was able to flash a global stable miui rom, though no look at all.
the screen stays black.
any news on your side?
No. It is still dead. I am thinking of taking it to xiaomi service center. If it is repairable. I will get it repaired
