Guys i need help.. I installed havoc os on my one plus 3. I put a 6x6 pattern on my phone which became the default start up pattern... Today I installed omni dragon but the start up pattern does not show 6x6 pattern rather only 3x3 i tried every method like changing patterns and putting pin or passwords as lock but to no help...the only solution i see is to factory reset but I have too many important data on my phone from years of usage and backing up data on pc is dead slow.. Please i need help. Thank you
I tried that but i can see only locksettings..db that's it

I'm confused , did you do a dirty flash from another rom ? How is possible that your old pattern can be active in new rom . You should do a clean flash when you move from different rom . Just do a backup all your data and internal storage and do a format data in twrp ( not wipe ) . All your data and internal storage will be erased . After that install gapps and magisk if needed and restart to system
Not a dirty flash... But before installing a rom i wiped not formatted cause I dont want to loose data.. Looks like I got no choice

Hello,
So, I've updated to Cyanogenmod 10.1 (4.2) and everything went smoothly, except, I had a 4x4 or 5x5 (can't remember) before updating, and now after the update it shows me a 3x3 pattern that I can't unlock!!!
So what can I do now? Is there a way to bypass the lock screen? or maybe I can downgrade to 4.1 again? I didn't make a backup, and I don't want to lose all of my data ...
Any help is appreciated

This also happened to me, You will have to boot back into Recovery. Do a Factory Reset, which is annoying because you will lose all your data on your phone, but it will fix the problem

You should've done one before flashing anyway.
Alternative Way to Log-in
I know this thread is a bit old, but you can also simply put in the wrong password about 5 times until you are locked out of your phone, and then click the forgot pattern? button in the bottom-right corner.
Then make sure you reset the pattern to one that is 3x3.
You are suppose to factory reset even if you have no lock screen................
I other words you need to erase everything?

Don't necropost. You need to factory reset.
sent from my Google Galaxy Nexus
So I backed up stock OxygenOS with TWRP, copied that backup to my PC, flashed the CM13 nightly to test it, wiped the device, restored original backup from TWRP.
Boots up, asks me for my PIN, this works and so it continues to boot Android.
At the lock screen it says 'Wrong PIN' when it's correct and it's the only PIN I've ever used on the device.
Does anyone have any suggestions that may fix this?
Thanks.
I had the same problem with unlock pattern, idk how to solve it without formatting internal memory.
but you can erase internal memory (factory reset) and your phone will reboot and be clean (wiped everyting including pin)

Yep it sucks, I'm trying to avoid that
This is a known issue with twrp. You should be disabling security (pin/fingerprint) before making a back up. There is a thread on here on how to get around it.

Any link to the thread please?
Edit: Found it, deleting the password files has worked https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/fix-wrong-pin-pattern-when-restoring-twrp-nandroid-backup.452384/

After 7.0 update my alarm is not ringing and if I go in the settings to change the alarm sound the app fc, also the YouTube app says "something went wrong" when trying to play a video.
After restart the sound is back for some time, then bug repeats.
I activated touch sound so I get a warning when I need to reboot, but the touch sound is not affected, also the music app is working, but no alarm or notification.
Whipped cash, installed Oos 4.0.3 via recovery (stock, locked bl, no root)
Currently on 7.1.1 Oos 4.1.3
Someone please help
Starting to think that I will have to sent the phone back to OnePlus...
get the full 4.1.3 zip, and on stock recovery wipe everything not just cache...
then back to the main menu on recovery and select install via USB (or something liket hat) and sideload the full rom from computer , after sideload boot to system and for good measures do a factory reset.

Thanks for the reply ! - I will try your suggestion tomorrow if I get the time -
Maybe it's a stupid question but: is there ever a need to wipe internal storage? or wipe everything means just system data ?
plus: could the encryption mess things around ?

Encryption may cause issues, but I don't think your problem is related to that, something in the update process went wrong I think so you got something corrupted on the either the system.or data partition , so Everytime you install a new ROM it does but the issue stays, the only way to know for sure is a clean install, and the easiest way to that is what I told you, it can also be done by fastboot where you wipe everything with fastboot then sideload , but to be safe better stick with the recovery method... I don't thing internal storage could cause an issue, but I personally from 7.0 to 7.1.1 I did wipe it , better safe than sorry, and it elemenates any possibilities so if you can do that it's better

Weirdest thing, I did not get the chance to reinstall the system yet, but since I posted this the bug did not reaper. I suspect an app was misbehaving and it got updated...I will wait and see.
Just sideloaded, will report how it goes if anyone faces the same problem
New OTA Out, should solve this, it seems

Any luck getting past this? I am in the same boat on a Moto X4. I tried to downgrade from 8.1 to 8.0. Flashing went fine but now stuck at the same "Just a sec" screen. Gonna try wiping internal. Hope I can back it up first but I bet it's encrypted and I cant.
Same

how to wipe internal storage?
I've tried wiping internal storage, also format data. Nothing is working, please help. My device is Redmi Note 4 {mido}. I have tried using different ROMs too.:crying::crying:
bro did u find a solution....? pls say. I am stuck in same problem and wiping the internal storage doesn't helps.
I'm in the same boat with Verizon Note 3. I've tried flashing lineage 16.0 official, unofficial, couple other Android 9 based ROMs, never get past 'Just a sec....' Tried wiping everything but microSD, formatting, nothing has any effect.
So, how did you guys managed to solve this problem? My 5t is stuck in "Just a sec..." screen, changing roms won't help. :/

The issue still persists even after Wiping internal storage or Formatting data. Nothing worked. However, I managed to install the stock ROM to my Redmi Note 4 after this and continued to use the phone. But I can't go past the Just a sec.....screen in Resurrection Remix 7.0.2 ROM and I want it badly. Any help?
I had this issue on my Mi Mix 3 after downgrading Magisk.
It kept being stuck on 'Just a sec...' even after resetting and wiping everything back to factory settings on my phone
I managed to fix it by flashing and older stock ROM to my phone from my laptop using the MiFlash tool, it still couldnt boot afterwards but I didn't need to fill in a password in TWRP anymore..
after the password was removed by the flashing, i flashed a xiaomi.eu ROM from TWRP and my phone finally booted back up again.
I hope this somehow helps anyone, if you have any questions I'd be glad to brainstorm for a solution with you
Best of luck all!
In my case the fix was trivial!
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQue..._just_a_sec_after_factory_reset_help/fmmiqjb/
I fixed it by erasing data via stock recovery (not TWRP).
I Have similar issue suck at just a sec ... screen and my phone is vivo v15 pro.
Recently, phone updated itself automatically to 11.0.3 version from 11.0.1. Now it is stuck at lock screen and none of the gestures or buttons working in lock screen(only long pressing power button restarts phone). Phone is china version. I can access to the fastboot and recovery. Can I fix it without installing new rom on it?
Deleting the lockscreen password seems to fix it for me, had this happen a few times. You can do it through twrp, delete locksetting* or gesture* from /data/system.
If you can't mount data, then formatting data is the only way, wiping isn't the same.

You can try flashing back to your previous ROM but I think your only options are going through TWRP to save your data or formatting data.
Maybe someone else can chime in
