(I'm like talking to myself. lol)
I rooted and am running stock 4.4.2 I believe, tried using twrp 2.8.6.0 (most recent version I think). I have the gapps and d2lte zip on my phone but if I reboot into recovery and try to wipe what it says in the tutorial (dalvik, cache, system and data) I get an error in red (I think it says something about being unable to mount something). If I try to reboot it tells me no os is installed and I have to use Odin on my pc to use Cf auto root to be able to use my phone again. I noticed if I go into recovery at all, even without doing anything it will tell me no os is installed and I have to use odin could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how I can get it working? Thank you

Hi!
Yes, you can definitely flash SlimKat on an i747M. It has been my daily driver for quite some times, I have too an i747M (though from Rogers).
Generally speaking, any d2att/d2lte ROM can be flashed on a i747M. ROM developers don't include files like modem or bootloader in their packages, so it is generally safe to flash ROMs made for the AT&T SGSIII on our Canadian variant. Needless to say, though, that is is a general statement: it is always safer to wait for a more experienced user to confirm everything works before diving in.

Knowing the exact partition that could not be wiped may be helpful. Try to grab the actual complete error message.
That being said, if you are not able to boot into an OS, it certainly mean that at least part of the system partition and/or the data partition have been wiped. Missing (parts of) the OS and core programs is the cause for your phone not being able to load properly.
You may want to restore your latest backup (I'm sure you did one before starting the wiping process, have you?) to get your phone back to its previous state.
If you don't have a backup, then you may want to try what Audit13 suggests (wiping again from your recovery, and installing the custom ROM), or you may want to use Odin to go back to stock -- to make sure you have a working phone to fall back -- and start the whole rooting/custom recovery installation/custom ROM installation process.

I'm not at home right now but I'll try to get a picture of the error if I get it again
For being told I have no os, that will pop up even if I don't do anything, just booting I to recovery and then selecting restarting without wiping anything I'll be told I don't have an os

Following that I was able to get slimkat flashed and going, thanks a ton!
My phone was just sitting on the charger and it reboooted while I was away from it. IT was sitting on the larger Samsung Galaxy S3 logo screen. I could not get the phone to boot. I went into TWRP and it took a much longer time to get into recovery mode. When I do, it says there is no OS! When I look in the log, this is what I see:
E: Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer
E: Unable to mount '/data'
E: Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details
E: Unable to mount '/system'
E: Unable to mount '/data'
E: Unable to mount '/cache'
E: Unable to mount internal storage
...
Is the phone an i747?
You could try mounting the data partition with twrp, connect it to Windows computer, and see if you can read the files.
Has the phone been encrypted?
Hi,
my german N7100 one sad day rebooted just to the Samsung logo and froze.
After some research i found Heimdall and jOdin and managed to flash TWRP 3.3.1-0 as recovery.
Booted into that, looked around and found on tapping the menu icon:
Code:
Failed to mount '/cache' (Invalid argument)
E:primary block device '/dev/block/mmcblk0p16' for mount point /data is not present!
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/efs' (Invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/cache' (Invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/system' (Invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
...done
Unable to mount storage
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Full SELinux support is present
E:
Unable to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps
MTP Enabled
ADB was and is enabled.
Flashing a stock ROM with jOdin first complained about a missing PIT file, then proceeded getting one from the phone, then did the flashing and reported PASS.
Didn't change a thing, though, the phone still didn't boot further, and TWRP reported the same as before.
adb shell
works and i looked around in the phone; i found
/dev/block/mmcblk0
and
/dev/block/mmcblk0p1,
both readable by less, but no other mmcblk* were there.
The phone has a MicroSD card inserted, which isn't listed in /dev or /dev/block, although TWRP can write the system logs "successfully" to it.
Right now, i can't check the contents without a MicroSD adapter.
I looked around here and found nothing quite similar, therefore this new thread.
Help, please?

maybe emmc dead or what?
Hi all! I'm new into forum. I have a question. I rooted my phone but sometimes I get this error and I can't fix it. Is there anyone that can help me out of this problem?
