twrp won't mount internal sdcard - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

My phone was just sitting on the charger and it reboooted while I was away from it. IT was sitting on the larger Samsung Galaxy S3 logo screen. I could not get the phone to boot. I went into TWRP and it took a much longer time to get into recovery mode. When I do, it says there is no OS! When I look in the log, this is what I see:
E: Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer
E: Unable to mount '/data'
E: Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details
E: Unable to mount '/system'
E: Unable to mount '/data'
E: Unable to mount '/cache'
E: Unable to mount internal storage
...

Is the phone an i747?
You could try mounting the data partition with twrp, connect it to Windows computer, and see if you can read the files.
Has the phone been encrypted?

Bricked A100

I was using my A100 and an application wasn't working. So i returned home, but then my A100 was blocked (I couldn't do anything). So I rebooted it, but it doesn't boot up. I can access recovery, so i tried to wipe cache. But this messages appear:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
-- Wiping cache...
Formatting /cache...
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk04
Cache wipe complete.
I can't make a backup, because it says "Can't mount backup path."
I have the first clockworkmod for the A100 installed. Please, help me.
I can't mount /sdcard too. It says: "error mounting /sdcard".
There has been alot of this happening lately. What ROM were you running when this happened?
Also, in CWM, verify which SD card is being used for backup/restore, and try toggling it around to the other one.
Also, in advanced>mounts try mounting the partitions like /system /cache /data etc and see if it gives anymore errors.

I run TWRP so this is by my phone's CWM:
Main CWM Screen
>Backup and Restore
>backup
>restore
>advanced restore
>backup to internal sdcard<<<<<try this
>restore from internal sdcard
>advanced restore from internal sdcard
>go back
Also under Mounts try /sdcard and /emmc
Don't format, just see if anything available for mounting CAN mount, or if they all fail. Also check Mount as USB storage for mounting or failing.
CWM by default uses sdcard, which is external. TWRP by default uses internal sd, however once toggled stays on external if you set it.
Then, one last thing to ask, and this is gonna get annoying I'm sure.
Go to Mounts
Select Mount /cache, /system /data /sdcard one more time each
Go back out to main menu, choose advanced
Select show log, and send what it says for each of those mounts. I mean if it says something past E can't mount /cache or whatever.

So... On my tablet, after advanced restore, i have only Go Back. I can't mount USB Storage. It says: "E: Unable to open ums lunfile (no such file or directory)". After clicking get log it says "W: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 (No such file or directory)
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
W: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 (No such file or directory)
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
W: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 (No such file or directory)
W: can't unlink /cache/recovery/command
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/last_log"
I don't have emmc as a mount option.
I will try tomorrow the other solutions you will post, because I'm going to bed now. Thank you.

Can't install CWM Recovery

My galaxy S3 Crash and TWRP says it can't mount anything internal. So I thought I would install CWM Rcovery and see what happens. I used Odin and it says it went find, but I noticed that the progress bar on the phone never displayed. When I reboot, TWRP is still there. What's wrong?
Reflash with Odin but don't check auto reboot. After flashing cwm, remove cable, remove battery, replace battery, he button combo to get into recovery.
Same thing. Odin sees the phone, then acts like it is flashing, but I never see anything happen on the phone itself. I thought normally there is a progress bar to show something is uploading, but nothing happens. When I go into recovery mode, I am back in the teamwin screen which takes about 3 minutes to boot. When I go to the TWRP log, I see:
E: Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
E: Unable to mount '/data'
E: Unable to recreate /data/media folder/
Updating partition details...
E: Unable to mount '/system'
E: Unable to mount '/data'

Running boot script...
Finished runing boot script
E: Unable to mount '/cache'
E: Unable to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps when trying to read settings file
E: Unable to mount '/data'
Is the phone an i747 or i747m?
Have you tried mounting the data partition in twrp and formatting it using a Windows machine?

Stuck at TWRP. Unable to flash anything. Please help :(

Hi everyone. Please help me out. I was trying to root my Xperia M C1904, so first I installed TWRP v3.0.2.0 and then I decided to flash my custom ROM as well.Unfortunately I couldn't do anything now. My phone keeps on rebooting to this recovery everytime I try to boot my phone. I somehow copied ROMs and .img files just to make sure that something,s wrong with this thing. I even download my stock firmware as well. But I can't do anything now. Neither I can boot to system, nor in fastboot as well.
And yeah, when trying to flash, I get these many errors. I thoroughly checked everything on Internet and thought that maybe flashing to stock ROM might help, but this thing won't even flash anything and just keeps on booting to recovery.
PLEASE! PLEASE Help me!
PS: Here is the error below showing in my phone.

I have a similar problem.. I had the AOSP 7.1.1. BETA 5 ROM but I decided to transfer to Ressurection Remix, I installed it, but it showed me the Unable to mount /cache (invalid argument) error and now it doesn't boot even if I restore my backup with the old ROM. I tried connecting the phone to the Flashtool, but the drivers seem mashed up and I can't even flash my stock software. I wasted my whole day and now I'm clueless... I hope that the phone isn't bricked, broken and somehow I could fix it.
Hello folks.. I had same issue when I flashed aosp based rom from lineage ROM and vice versa. I resolved this issue by following steps..
1) Download Androxyde flashtool which will you get in Google search. This flashtool made only for Sony devices and has build in device drivers which could be install manually. For practical watch on YouTube.
2) Download fotakernel.img from https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...cwm-twrp-recoveries-custom-roms-t3016507/amp/ and follow steps that has given.
3)After flashing you will get twrp in which mount option will have cache, system, data etc partitions. Check it to see wheather that particular partition mount.
4) Flash rom and check for further errors.. mostly I used all ROM available for our device which played this trick work..

Boot freeze and partitions lost

Hi,
my german N7100 one sad day rebooted just to the Samsung logo and froze.
After some research i found Heimdall and jOdin and managed to flash TWRP 3.3.1-0 as recovery.
Booted into that, looked around and found on tapping the menu icon:
Code:
Failed to mount '/cache' (Invalid argument)
E:primary block device '/dev/block/mmcblk0p16' for mount point /data is not present!
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/efs' (Invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/cache' (Invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/system' (Invalid argument)
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
...done
Unable to mount storage
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Full SELinux support is present
E:
Unable to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps
MTP Enabled
ADB was and is enabled.
Flashing a stock ROM with jOdin first complained about a missing PIT file, then proceeded getting one from the phone, then did the flashing and reported PASS.
Didn't change a thing, though, the phone still didn't boot further, and TWRP reported the same as before.
adb shell
works and i looked around in the phone; i found
/dev/block/mmcblk0
and
/dev/block/mmcblk0p1,
both readable by less, but no other mmcblk* were there.
The phone has a MicroSD card inserted, which isn't listed in /dev or /dev/block, although TWRP can write the system logs "successfully" to it.
Right now, i can't check the contents without a MicroSD adapter.
I looked around here and found nothing quite similar, therefore this new thread.
Help, please?
