I little bit out of topic maybe, but my mi6 started showing some yellowish tones around the screen about 5mm in each side. anyone else encountering the same problem?
Mine is one year old and it doesn't have that issue. Maybe you need it to be repaired.

Help!! Just got mine delivered and DOA I think.
It boots up, I can hear the boot sound. And by meticulously using a led flash light, I navigated through the sign up process. I thought the brightness was too low to see the screen. I can barely make out any words.
Finally afrer about an hour of watching youtube videos and knowing where to press, I completed the startup wizard. But when I put up the brightness to max, the screen does change brightness. It stays so dim that you wouldn't know it was turned on without looking at it with a bright light shining on it on an angle.
I tried accessibility options. Still no difference.
It is minus 10 outside. I'm thinking that it must have froze in the warehouse enroute, because I picked it up several days after I got the notice. Is the LCD screen damaged? What should I do now. I ordered it on eBay and the tablet is from malaysia.
Any way to fix the super dim screen? I flashed many roms on my Note 3. But I don't want to lose the warranty on this just yet.

Easy: exchange it for a working one. 1 year factory warranty...

I'm going through Ebay resolution center now.
I had this problem after I dropped mine on vinyl floor luckily I had extra warranty through best buy and got it replaced(no crack screen either). I assume it probably knocked loose the screen connector.
From which ebay reseller did you buy it?

Maybe it's a strange question, but did someone smell a strange odor coming out of the tablet while pressing or swiping hard its screen? I was checking that my touchscreen did not have the clicking effect and when i was pressing hard a strong smell like glue or some cleaning product comes out from the tablet. Hopefully I'm not crazy and is not hazardous.
Please someone make a try. Thanks!!!!

The unthinkable has finally happened. Today, I dropped my Mi Max for the hundredth time probably and smashed the screen. I love this phone for the large screen size. Now I have a decision to make. I can either fix it or get another phone with a large screen. I would probably be doing the replacement myself. The screens are not that expensive. I had a couple of questions about screen replacement. First off, are the LCD digitizer and the glass fused together like in an iPhone or are they separate. In other words, can I just replace the glass in the front or do I have to replace the entire LCD assembly. Has anyone tried it? The next question is what are some of the other alternative phones with in the same price range that have an active XDA development going on. I know that Mi Max 2 is an alternative but it seems to be a step down terms of the processor. Any other options with 6" out larger screens?
Thanks

I haven't tried it but I think the LCD and the glass are separated so you can replace it because this phone deserves it,good luck.

That would be great news if true. Can anyone else verify? Any ideas about a replacement device?
i dropped mine once (first time lmao) and it broke the glass on top. touch is still working so i went and ordered just the glass for cheap. which was my mistake because it was hard to pry it. you'd probably end up f**cking up the touch screen also. so just go with those whole screen replacements, with frame would be much better. also watch techtablets' mi max 2 reviews on yt, for that might change your opinion on mi max 2
Thanks for the input Kuro. I ordered the screen plus LCD assembly. I'll also check out that review you mentioned.
Im gonna buy the washed oak shell so i have a only question
It gets dirty a lot? I have the red that comes with the phone and it gets very dirty with places like my desktop and the grease of my fingers and i don't know how to clean It
Sorry for the bad english

Hello, I just recently replaced my Mi A2 Lite screen display... And the screen keeps flickering. I have reconnected the LCD connector yet still flickering. I am afraid that reattaching the front-glass screen would crack it.
Someone who is good at these kinds of stuffs that could help me?
