Before ive experimented to flash to different roms, my earphones experience was ok but after ive flashed to cyanogenmod 12 im encountering this strange issue where i cant use my earphones. Everytime i'm plugging my earphones, theres no audio but the phone reads the earphone. When I removed the earphone, theres no audio too. The only way to solve it is to restart my phone. I'm sure my earphone was ok because ive tested it to other device and its working, and im sure that my aux port was ok too because ive rerolled/reflashed to my stock rom and it still works.
Anyone encountering this strange issue too?
EDIT: I've tried various roms (cm 12, cm 14, lineage 14, different cm nightlies, ressurection remix) and none of them worked
Yes I'm not sure wat to do.. I'm trying to get original firmware n use Odin not to sure that will work??

S6_UniKernel_v8-0001-TWRP.zip
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347806233
Kernel has audio patch built in. Works for me with latest CarHD8.1 ROM that needed audio patch.
EDIT: sometimes it requires flashing a kernel first. Reboot. Then back to recovery and flash your reference audio patch for International ROMs and reboot. Plus it sometimes takes one phone call that fails. Then dial again and it works.
EDIT: IOW do NOT chain flash Kernel and patch. Flash latest uni kernel first that includes audio patch. Test. If no go, , back to recovery and flash SM-G920T_W8_Call_Audio_Patch_For_5.1.1_INT_ROMS.zip then reboot.
fixed

Hi
I have installed a cm 12.1 on my lg g3 d855 and since then it doesn't detect my wired headphones. Like when I plug them nothing happens and the music just plays out on speakers. Please help!
1.Did you tried more than one pair of wired headphone or earphone.
2.please tell me the full version that you have (about phone....)
3.try pairing a Bluetooth headphone or earphones.
Please answer me back when you tried all those steps and tell me the result for each steps. Good luck
Yes I tried two of my wired headphones beats and lg stock earphone but it doesn't still work. However when I used my Bluetooth headset Sony BTN200 it worked fine.
About Phone:

Thanks
Did you tried other players like Google play music or anything
Yes I tried everything. I tried YouTube, Spotify, Google music, games and etc but it plays out on main speaker. I downloaded an app called sound about that let's me to switch to headphones and when I do that Headphones work.
Did you check if it has a update ( release recently )
---------- Post added at 04:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 PM ----------
And tell me your setting for audiofx for headset
Yes I am on the latest version 12.1-20151104-NIGHTLY-d855 and the audiofx is on default setting which is
Equaliser preset: small speakers
Bass: __%
Surround sound:_ _%
Reverb: none
Try reflashing the CyanogenMod (like the first time you did it)
Done it and I cleared the cache but still doesn't work
That weird, do you have a pair of earphone that connect by the micro USB plug. Because according to you it sound that your headphone jack is broken
Unfortunately i dont have usb earphone but headset jack is not broken two days ago I flashed stock from and everything was working
Try flashing blisspop, it a great ROM more customization then CyanogenMod and has all the CyanogenMod features. You could give it a shot.
Tried it as well but it doesn't work..it showed me a headset icon and I could play music on headset but after few moments it disappeared and it started to play on speaker. Maybe there is problem with a kernel or something.
Possible. Make sure that the jack is clean. Also did you flash any official custom ROM like CyanogenMod or any other that's base on stock android?
It's clean and I tried cloudyg3 rom and it was working. However the strange thing on cyanogenmod I found out is that when it's charging the headset works but if its not then it doesn't work.
Try flashing cm12

I can't find the cm12 link. There is a link in cm download page but they don't work.
I think I have the link. I'm going to check later in the day when I have it. I going to give it to you
---------- Post added at 12:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 PM ----------
I can't find it also. Try flashing another custom ROM base on stock ROM, just to see if the problem is because is stock android or is CyanogenMod
OK...so I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this problem or not, but every cm ROM I have installed the speaker call volume is obnoxiously low...if I'm on a stock lollipop or stock marshmallow ROM whether its modded or not the volume is fine but on a cm ROM it sucks...its only the voice call speaker volume that is low. The bluetooth, media volume, etc... is fine. I have tried increasing the voice call speaker volume through the mixer paths XML file via es file explorer and it only gets distorted and I have tried many ways...turning it down from 66 to 64 (that makes it sound lower), turning it up from 66 to 68, 70 (that makes it sound distorted). Anyway is this a normal issue for cm ROMs for the speaker call volume to sound low or is there some kind of work around to enhance the volume...thanks
Friend, that sounds like it could be a modem issue. I've used CM-based ROMs for years and haven't had this issue. Currently on vanilla CM and my call/speaker volume is great (D850 variant).
Strange...well I don't reflash bootstacks if I'm already on the correct one but y would everything else work except speakerphone...should I try a modem all by itself? I'm on vs985 variant running resurrection remix (latest build)

Yes. Find a modem for your device and flash it through recovery. It's possible the solution could be that quick and easy. I have no idea why one thing would work and not the other, but personally I would start with the modem.
CM Roms ... The kernels have fauxsound support in kernel management... Have you tried adjusting those settings?
I have not but somebody has told me that when I put them on speakerphone they can hear themselves echoing back when they talk...I flashed to a stock based rom and they no longer hear the echo...I reflashed a custom Rom and now they hear the echo again...so...I flashed a couple more cm aosp rims and they hear the echo on those roms to...is the echo curse normal on custom aosp roms or is there something I'm missing???
Hey guys, I've been having a problem with the N5X since I bought it. First thing I did when I bought it was to root it and change the ROM, of course. I installed BlissROM (don't remember which build) and ARISE Mod but everytime when I started playing a song (or when someone called me) the audio always started playing loud (as it should) but after a second or two it would lower itself (not the volume steps, just the speaker sound). At first I thought it was a problem with the ARISE mod so I tried without it but the sound was terrible, so I tried changing ROMs and I found that Resurrection Remix with Arise works without problems (the audio works perfectly). But now I've got the same problem if I try to update the ROM (I'm using 20160616 build) the audio starts lowering itself again and I'm stuck with Android 6.0.1 because of it. Can somebody tell me what is causing the problem so I can fix it ? I tried different ROMs, different kernels and different versions of ARISE without luck and I'm out of ideas. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance
Umm, is there a compatibility chart with ROMs for ARISE? I use something different and that's Viper4Android that works slick with all Android M ROMs.
Suspect an issue with ARISE.

Yup, I tried V4A without ARISE, no luck.
Try going to TWRP Advanced and fix se Linux contents which does se Linux enforcing which will be needed for some mods.

RR7 works quite snappy with the combination of:
- Base = 10.0.3.0
- Vendor = 9.6.9.0
- Modem = 9.6.9.0 (flash modem-fix by @eremitein to fix modem settings)
- Aboot (if you want to use twrp) = 9.6.11.0
That´s how I had my configuration - everything worked fine, except of BT-calling, that´s why I went back to stock.
Bt-calling not working in any combination - I tried with with 9.6.4.0, 9.6.9.0, 9.6.11.0 and 10.0.3.0 and the combination shown above.
The problem also persists with Havoc 2.2., Arrow, Decendent, PE and Omni - all the other gsi have to test someone else... Wasted enough of time
Ah, and I replaced drivers and files of bt and ril - no success!

are you remember is bt-call work in Havoc 2.0?
Which did App did u use for bt calling or did u just connect your daisy to your headphone via Bluetooth and then made a call? I've never tried Bluetooth calling so I would test it on the Viper Rom.

Only stock dialer... That would be great! Have you already installed viper? If no, could you try, if dialer freezes without gapps installed? Becouse that was the reason I trow away viper Yes I spent too much time on that ****...

I already installed gapps. I'm using the Viper Rom for two weeks now @10.0.3.0 and I'm very satisfied, for the first time. Everything works only a Error Message shows up every Restart and yes BT Calling doesn't work. It switches to Smartphone Speaker when I start a BT Call.
