RR7 works quite snappy with the combination of:
- Base = 10.0.3.0
- Vendor = 9.6.9.0
- Modem = 9.6.9.0 (flash modem-fix by @eremitein to fix modem settings)
- Aboot (if you want to use twrp) = 9.6.11.0
That´s how I had my configuration - everything worked fine, except of BT-calling, that´s why I went back to stock.
Bt-calling not working in any combination - I tried with with 9.6.4.0, 9.6.9.0, 9.6.11.0 and 10.0.3.0 and the combination shown above.
The problem also persists with Havoc 2.2., Arrow, Decendent, PE and Omni - all the other gsi have to test someone else... Wasted enough of time
Ah, and I replaced drivers and files of bt and ril - no success!

are you remember is bt-call work in Havoc 2.0?

Which did App did u use for bt calling or did u just connect your daisy to your headphone via Bluetooth and then made a call? I've never tried Bluetooth calling so I would test it on the Viper Rom.

Only stock dialer... That would be great! Have you already installed viper? If no, could you try, if dialer freezes without gapps installed? Becouse that was the reason I trow away viper Yes I spent too much time on that ****...

I already installed gapps. I'm using the Viper Rom for two weeks now @10.0.3.0 and I'm very satisfied, for the first time. Everything works only a Error Message shows up every Restart and yes BT Calling doesn't work. It switches to Smartphone Speaker when I start a BT Call.

Stupid qn - do we need the ADT toolbox like the site says, or can we just flash with twrp? Could I also ask if Google Apps work fine with this custom rom? Currently away from home with work with limited data, but can't wait to try a custom rom out!

I've just installed. Everything seems fine so far, including working gapps. Except Bluetooth audio. My bluetooth headsets connect successfully, but no sound.... I never used Mokee firmwares before, how often they bring new updates (nightly, weekly)?... I hope they'll fix bluetooth problem very soon....

Maybe I found a bug on camera app. The image quality is at 12mp. Seems only to be one of the sensors. I don't know if it's the same on stock camera app from nubia. Maybe someone on stock can try to pull the apk and I will try to install it.

Mokee is pretty big. But more popular in Eastern countries. They have the same build policy as aicp f.e.
Thank you, working awesome, and gapps work. So quick and much better, I hope Nubia release an international ROM because I like their camera suite. Bluetooth is not working, but everything else is. To get into Fastboot mode it is Vol - and Power button, not Vol +/Pwr button as per the unlocking instruction in the other thread. This is just for other newbies like me that don't know no better.

cool, then you can format data, clear system/data/cache/internal storage, after that install base band (the one with 5.15) then install rom, then install open gapps if you want, reboot, enjoy
Returns on this Rom? Bluetooth? GPS? Android Oreo? NFC?

I haven't tested IR blaster so far, but the only big that I found so far is the camera launching, it's so slow, the strange thing is that in the previous UNOFFICIAL build it was launching well, I hope he will fix it in the next build.

Ok, I tried installing everything in one go adding each zip after the other in twrp... apparently, this doesn't work... Device just turns off again after Nubia logo (yes I did the normal wipe)
I did select to prevent to overwrite TWRP
update: apparently you need to boot the device between installing Rom (and open Gapps) and installing Magisk... installing magisk 16.4 apparently needs to be done later... I'll report back when I'm done

[GSI][9.0][Compatible] AOSP Phh-Treble v109 (and above)

Hi, all!
Simple instruction how to install AOSP rom. Plus overview and feedback, i hope)
First, you need:
1.1. basic knowledge how to using ADB, fastboot and recovery
1.2. clean flashed 9.6.11.0 stock rom
Files:
2.1. TWRP for daisy (official or patched by me for external SD-card and UTF-8 support)
2.2. GSI v110 AOSP rom for arm64-ab (gapps and vanilla variants tested by me)
2.3. attachments
Procedure:
3.1. format you DATA with recovery (!CAUTION! all files from internal storage will lost!)
3.2 on the PC unpack *.xz rom archive to system.img with 7-Zip archivator
3.2. connect phone to PC and go to bootloader mode
3.3. flash unpacked rom image:
fastboot flash system system.img
3.4. when done, run TWRP:
fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-daisy.img
/or fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-daisy_zero.img/
3.5. in TWRP mount /vendor partition and run on the PC (this fix for disable ForceEncryption):
adb push fstab.qcom.txt /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom
3.6. in TWRP mount /system partition and run adb:
adb push uinput-goodix.kl.txt /system/system/usr/keylayout/uinput-goodix.kl
this fix tuning fingerprint gestures: swipe from left2right is "paste-text-from-buffer", swipe from up2down is "wakeup-screen"
3.7. unmount partitions and reboot to system from TWRP. all done!!!:fingers-crossed:
.
Overview of ROM is here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78744887&postcount=1481
one bug is founded - camera not worked in DnD mode
add: phhusson gave quick fix for camera in DnD mode!
just do it:
adb root
...(...wait 1-2sec...)...
adb shell "echo audio.camerasound.force=true >> /data/local.prop"
adb shell "chmod 0600 /data/local.prop"
then restart phone))

With all due respect, no one should flash GSI roms. No matter how cool it is, they are unoptimized and don't receive any updates. I was on a GSI rom for the longest time and never once was it updated. Which means you'll be behind on security patches, which unfortunately, is rather important.
Project Treble is a failure. Good tutorial for those willing to risk it tho.

So, if you don't care about security updates it's a win?
The only reason people search for other roms is because of the features they have.
Also, good maintainers update their roms weekly (or daily for betas)

so, which version is better supported?)
and more important - after stock update many people have very huge problems.

Yeah, keep doing this!
I used havoc for a long time, but in the end bb was too bad, compared to stock. RR7 is much too laggy, and freezes and sometimes has no incall sound...
What we should do is focussing on one or two gsi's and modifying everything, sothat it will run on our device properly.
Under QA section there are many solutions for those problems. We only need to put them all together in one thread, connected to the right gsi...
I tried almost all GSI Roms and the only Rom which satisfies me is the PixelDust for Daisy. Only the notch isn't perfect but that's not so important.
The Stock Roms are a now go for me, I can't even swap the nav buttons and I don't care about security updates at all.

Fingerprint Sensor On GSI

So far I tried Havoc OS und RR. Havoc was super laggy, but RR was quite nice und smooth.
The problem: No working fingerprint sensor on both of them. At the end of the printsetup it always says "Enrollment didn't work"
Is this an ongoing theme on all GSI? Did I do something wrong? Did I miss something?
And last but not least: Is there a fix?
As far as I know this problem occurs on all GSI Roms which have Pie as Base. With Oreo Stock it should work!

The problem is known: Under pie-base gsi´s can´t load the persist-partition. That´s the reason of most of the small remaining bugs.
I tried a lot of things. Editted .qcom-files, replaced driver files, etc. It´s the same with the non working twrp. The encryption and keymaster is not understood yet completely.
The strange thing is, that I can´t reflash the persist.img; some problems with the partition table -> aboot?
Question: did you reflash the aboot from 9.6.11.0? I always did too... Perhaps that leads to that problem...

BT call not working - it´s a dealbreaker! But it seems to be a rom problem, since it persists with pie vendor. (Used with 9.6.9.0 too -> promising)

Question No audio when I connect my headphones

Hi I hope i can find help here (I don't know my way around that well).
My problem is that with various ROMs (including Ancient OS)
I have the problem that when I connect my Bluetooth headphones:
1) no sound other than a slight crackling/...hear
2) the audio/video cannot be played
would be very happy about help!

I experienced the same issue on Evolution X, but only that ROM. The EvoX Telegram Group recommended a specific Firmware version but that didn't solve it.
I switched to another ROM.
Are you using a Custom Kernel?

Use lineage copy_partitions.zip after flashing ROM ( Get zip from installation instructions )
