Super slow GPS on mi Max 3

Hi guys,
I have the mi Max 3 unlocked, with TWRP and rooted.
I have been running it with RevOS and now with GSI Havoc...
But there seems to be a real problem with the GPS ! It's super slow...
A fix takes about 30 seconds sometimes even more (in the same location, the Honor Note 10 fixes in 3/4 seconds).
And while I traval => "GPS connection lost" happens quite often and it also happens that I get "Searching for network".
Is there a "radio.img" or something like that that I may have to flash to improve things ?
Do you guys have the same when using GPS (like Waze) ?
Or is my device defective ? Should I try to reflash the global ROM for this ?

I use Xiaomi.EU Rom 8.11.15 (last Oreo updated), used Waze first time this morning and locked in incredibly fast.
Maybe down to the OS you are on?

Maybe the OS. But now I am using Havoc OS Pie and I have the same problem Super slow fix : like 30 seconds and up to 1 or 2 minutes.
Will try to reinstall original MIUI stock but I fear to get a device with ARB protection (which I would like to avoid).

What version are you on?
If you are MIUI 10, don't go below MIUI 10.
If you are on MIUI 9, like I was out of the box, 9.6.12, you cannot go down. anything above 9.6.8 has ARB really.
I got soft locked and I had to use MiFlash to restore Global ROM.

...or you just clean up the miui from all the ARB related sh*t before flashing it...

Definitely ROM related.
I restored stock MIUI 9.8.6.0 (last official with no ARB) and Xiaomi.eu 8/8/9 (latest non official with no ARB) and with those, I got a GPS fix within seconds...
And that quick fix is reproductible...
So : there goes RevOS, which is a pity : it was superb and with lot of added customizations abilities...

But I must say that I am a little anxious about that
First : it is unclear if I have to LEAVE the listed files in the FW-update folder or if I have to take ERASE those ;
Second : is it confirmed that if I do that, I won't have ARB on my device ? Because it seems that the author is just "speculating" about this and asks for confirmation...
So if you could provide a little more details, I'd be a taker

Those are the files you should flash. All others not listed you delete along with the lines in updater-script/flash-all.bat. Haven't tested it myself b/c I don't care about MIUI and I only flash boot, system and vendor to test my stuff I work on. But later on I will have to test it b/c I will need vendor and firmware for my next project. So although not tested these files should be ARB safe, the rest of them removed are bootloader related where ARB resides. But with anything Xiaomi I can't be 100% sure until test it personally. What I can asure you is no ARB if you flash boot, system and vendor only...

Xiaomi.Eu ROM Problem

Ive installed Xiaomi.eu 20.4.30 and 20.5.7 builds on my whyred device, the probem is I am facing UI Freeze and hang issues (3 freezes in 1 hour). Sometimes i open an app and it gets stuck untill it asks to force close the UI.
Anyone else facing the same problem?If anyone has any solution please Help

U installed Xiaomi.eu build after formatting?
Also which build?

if you install version 20.4.30 over 20.5.7 you have the problem you are talking about
what I have done since twrp is a wipe data, dalvik and cache and then install version 20.5.7 only, then restore the copy of micloud and it is perfect

I am not facing freezes that much, but i gotta agree this miui is really laggy. Its stable enough, but the dropped framess andd battery drain is really huge. I hopee future updates adressses this

I'm using Miui 12 on whyred; seems like the laggy experience is due to kernel problem. Just flash a custom kernel (tested with Rad kernel 4x) and the lag will gone. Hope it works for you.

Due to extremely high no. Of rom flashes in a day (3-4 roms/day) I've locked my bootloader and back to miui 11.0.3.0

Camera on Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G does not work

Someone on Reddit suggested I should ask my question on here, so here I am.
Yesterday I received my Redmi K30 from China. It was tricky to buy this one, because I live in the Netherlands, but I took a chance and bought it.
Everything works properly BUT the camera. The front facing camera's work, but the rear 64M doesn't. I keep getting an error, which says it can't connect with my camera. Or it simply freezes and there's no option to flip from front to rear camera. Other things that I tried are: clear camera cache, reboot, change app permissions.
Someone suggested it could be the Global Rom which was flashed (this is a Chinese Version with Global Rom). It seems that Global Roms can intervene with the original camera.
Is this something I (I'm not technical at all) can change and will this work? I'm afraid if I will change to much in the settings, that I can't return it when it's still not working.
Or should I just return this phone and wait for the Global Version?

Never heard of this failure. I also got mine from China and there is no Global Rom availible. There is the Xiaomi.eu Rom, this not officail. If your Phone is unlocked, you can look on the Xiaomi.eu Thread and try to install it. On the lateste MIUI12 everything works like a charm

I am also seeing this issue. I received my K30 5G on the 23rd and only parts of the camera is work. Issues I'm seeing:
If I try to take a picture while on photo mode, the camera app crashes regardless of if I am using the front or back camera.
If I try to select `64M` mode I get the "Cannot connect to camera" error
If I try to select `Slow Motion` mode I get the "Cannot connect to camera" error
If I try to select `Pro` mode I get the "Cannot connect to camera" error
If I try to use the 0.6 zoom function on the photo mode the camera app freezes
This seems to be the only issue I am seeing with this phone. It's a shame because its a great phone.
Phone Details:
MIUI Version: MIUI Global 11.1.0 | Stable 11.1.0.16 (QGIINXM)
Android Version: 10 QKQ1.191222.002

This problem is a bug of the fake Global ROM for this phone, with original chinese/english ROM or Xiaomi.eu there is no issues.

Have the same problem for now I've just installed Google camera that works ok . But non wide and 64 main camera only 5 mega px macro camera is working
When I install a camera info app is only showing me 2 cameras 5 mega pixel each

My k30 5G is on the way, dont have it yet. But all people report the same problem, that is fixed when change the ROM.

Google's camera improves but doesn't solve the issue. Has someone already changed the rom and fixed the problem ?

Yes doesn't help the phone those not recognize the wide and the 64 mega pixel camera I've installed camera info app on all of them only showing 2 camera on front on back 5 mega pixel

If you have the global ROM your phone is already unlock .
When you power those it's say wonlock?
If yes you can skip unlock bootloader.
And just instal twrp and flash Xiaomi EU Rom
If not booting after just use this : fastboot -w
Power off and is on after you can update from you phone

Hi! Where is the ROM that is suggested in this case? I am from Italy and bought this phone on aliexpress, experiencing the same issue. It is my first xiaomi phone so I'm not sure where to get the specific rom needed in this case.

Power off and on
After that you can update without losing data from updater in your phone.
Maybe you will need to update 2 or 3 time before having the latest software .

Few of you mentioned Global or English ROM, is that directly from Mi officially? Is so, could anyone please share a link.
The only thing I found is xiaomi.eu which is not the official.
Mine is K30i 5G which is a 48M camera that Camera does not work with xiaomi.eu unfortunately.

I have the same problem with camera app in my redmi K30 5G installing rom MIUI EU 12.5.7.0

Problems after MIUI update 12.5.8.0

I have Redmi Note 8 Pro with MIUI Global 12.5.8 Stable ,12.5.8.0 (RGGINXM) currently after update .
It was updated last day. After the update i have few issues with the mobile ;
1. Camera only works in MI camera app only .it doesn't work in any other app even MI scanner app or with error can't connect to camera.
2. Phone is running slow and overheating even in airplane mode
3. All the permissions for the apps have been changed.
I checked i found that 134 apps were running in background even there is no apps selected in autostart settings. After killing all apps using a app killer. Phone cools down and running good .But every now then apps are starting on their own .Also after every restart most of the apps start on its own and phone gets hot . i have use app killer everytime after phone boots up.
But i have not found the reason behind the camera issue .i have already clear the data and reset to defaults for the camera app. What should i do ?
Update: i traced my camera issue to an app called "LensCap" that disable/enable camera. Lenscap was on while updating to android 11.since the developer said that this app don't work in android 11. so the camera is now disabled and cannot be enabled by that app as it has no effect on this issue. Please help.

The same issue happened to me. After updating MIUI 12.5.8.0, the Lenscap app is not working, so I have uninstalled it. But, the Scanner app, even Google pay and Phonepay QR scan also not working. How can I fix this?

After updating to MIUI 12.5.8.0 the front camera, ultrawide camera and the Bluetooth have stopped working. also the phone gets overheating in stand-by mode. The background apps are consuming a lots of battery

Question Realme UI 4 Beta

Anyone tried it?

I got the update via OTA and installed it on Monday. Runs super well and smoothly. I'm not signed up for the beta program.

i also received update yesterday via OTA..and i'm also not signed in beta program... work smootlhy for now. Funny...until this update i must update always only over VPN provider

Some bugs I've found in this beta:
DT2W sometimes doesn't work
Random screen flickering
Phone gets hotter

What version of realme GT ME do you have?

3363 Have now tested it for a few days and found no bugs. since the update my battery life has also improved. Before the update I had to load every 2 days. Now after 2 days I am at 60% if I do not use the device often.

In realme ui 4.0 we can not update the system apps ???
When you enter in the app information dont exist anymore the three dots in top right corner to uninstall the update.......and after this update with apk versions...???

can i go back to stock rom using this?i'm in custom rom but im in RUI4 before custom rom. I just wanna go back if my network will be fixed because the network in custom roms is unstable

Use qfil to flash stock frimware with edl mode, but look carefully at this guide and do exactly

My friend , you say that those are confirmed bugs on realme forum , most likely the indian region phone model on an indian forum . I don't confirm any of those bugs , had a dirty install (without cache wipe/reset) with no issues and also made a clean install for testing purpose . No heating , no batery drains , no screen flickering and no 5g connectivity issues at all . Phone in discussion is rmx3363 (EU model) on Rui4 with more than an month of usage on the beta software. You should take the phone to a service or at least test-it with another sim installed (for me vodafone 5g is great) i've got the same feedback for both 6/128 and 8/256 mainboards

I dont have this issues also on 3360,
Can you tell me what the normal battery backup for this phone ?
I usually get 6+ of screen on time over a 24h normal usage no video watching
