TWRP-3.2.2-0 Pixel XL - Google Pixel XL Questions & Answers

twrp-3.2.2-0 on Android 8.1.0 Oreo or Android Development Preview DP4. Is it better than twrp 3.2.1-2?

Wrong section

This thread is unnecessary. We really don't need a new thread for TWRP discussions, as there really isn't much to discuss. Dee_Troy's thread works fine if something needs to be brought up

@Dees_Troy
The last "Dees_Troy" thread, I saw, was for twrp-3.2.1-2. After, reading several threads with comments about twrp-3.2.2-0.
I thought it would be nice to have a thread for it so all the members could go to one thread for twrp-3.2.2-0 information. I respect your right to disagree. Further, if Dees_Troy opens a thread for it or updates his thread to twrp-3.2.2-0. I will ask the moderators to close this thread.

Similar to your question on the Magisk thread not being updated, the TWRP thread doesn't need a new title every time an update is pushed. @Dees_Troy is the lead dev of TWRP, so regardless whether or not the title or OP of the thread had been updated, I would still consider that one to be the 'official' thread for TWRP.
I highly doubt he's going to spend the time going through the dozens of device specific threads just to update the title/OP.
I don't want to start a pissing match, but to have multiple threads about the same thing is bonkers and only serves to muddy up the thread list.

No, not similar to my "question on the Magisk thread" I asked if the thread was "relevant". Why? No one was using it. I know who Dees_Troy is, I think he can speak for himself. He doesn't need a mouth piece. So, since you don't want to start a "pissing match." Keep your 'tude' to yourself and stop posting.
Further, Dees_Troy took the time to update his thread to twrp-3.2.1-2.

Does it work with encryption on dp4? 3.2.1-2 didn't work for me with encryption on dp3

Yeah, you have to remove pin, or password and it works.

There is no development being done here. You are not contributing anything. That's why we have a discussion section, where this should go.

Yeah you're right. Moderator please move this to the "Pixel XL Questions and Answers forum."

I'm sure a mod will take care of it for you just read a little further into the rules before posting in the future, this will save everyone time and clutter. I appreciate your enthusiasm towards our device and I hope this doesn't discourage you from participating!

Yeah, I edited my post and ask the moderator to move the thread to the "discussion section." Thanks for your assistance. I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. I'll read the rules again, I promise. Not discouraged, just disappointed I missed this in the rules. Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction.

Awesome! Sounds great! As far as twrp 3.2.2-0 goes, I haven't flashed it yet, I've heard nothing but positive feedback so far though.

Just so much win.

Rom feedback

Hello,
I am currently testing a particular custom rom on my Evo 4g and noticed a couple of bugs but I can't post in the development forum nor am I a developer. Where can I leave the developers feedback about their rom or do I have to be a developer in order to do so?
Thanks.

First read through the thread to see if your issues have already been talked about, then if you still want to leave feedback, PM him.
You could also get your ten posts so you can post in the development threads...

Your best bet is to lurk in Q and A and answer some questions. Once you get to ten posts you will be able to post in the developers thread.

[SOLVED] Paranoid Android Cm10 Stuck on boot logo

Problem solved--Couldn't get Paranoid Android to get past boot logo. What solved it was doing a flash of CM10, then a 'dirty flash' of PA on top of it...I'm guessing that worked because it's CM10 based, but I'm not sure. Either way, there's the solution. Also, CZ, it won't let me edit that title to say solved. Also--any idea on my other thread about why Android File Transfer doesn't work anymore? Skyler, the last thing I need to do is annoy people--I can't even post in dev threads yet!

It's considered forum etiquette to do two things here, since your thread is solved.
1) Edit your thread title to include the word "SOLVED" with brackets around it. Like this:
[SOLVED] or [FIXED] or [IGNORE] or something similar.
2) If you fixed your issue, then you might consider typing what you did to resolve the issue, so the next newb-in-need-of-help can read your post and do the same fix.

Don't do what the above said. It'll annoy everyone if you don't and I think that's great.

Glad you go this worked out, but it was a known issue that was discussed yesterday right after the rom was posted. Also, this doesn't belong in the Dev section anyway. I'm glad you couldn't post there. Why does everyone think they should post their questions in the dev section when we have a Q/A section? You should have posted it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819441

Did you click on the "Edit" and then you click the "Go Advanced" option? That's what lets you edit thread titles.
Sorry, I can't help with the other question.
I fixed the title---and I would have posted there if that thread existed when I posted...as far as I can tell, it came about a few minutes after I posted, and I was already gone. I'll post in Q&A next time then.

You can't be serious that you started a new thread in the development section to ask this question???
Ask the builders in their threads. This will probably get moved or deleted.
page 2 dude, search button all over the forum.

Will Samsung Galaxy J2 (SM-J200...) get LineageOS?

This forum is NOT a forum for your to request Lineage for your device! It's a forum for the discussion of development of LineageOS. These thread I'm already seeing pop up about people asking for Lineage posts are ridiculous. This isn't a place to come and ask for people to port ROMs to your device, so please don't treat it as such. Thank you.

They are still in the process of rolling out the initial builds, otherwise, check the specific forum for your device.

Yeah that's the issue not everyone know where. And why should one rom have to supply the download bandwidth for the others. It's something I will be doing anyways so might as well post them

It's Roms kernels recoveries and other development. Where would you suggest posting it? As it is needed for updating the security when you flash an updated rom.

Just read the sticky post. It clearly states that when you post here you must be the developer of what you post. In my opinion vendor images certainly don't belong here and should go to the guides, news and discussion section.
To the OP. Thanks for the offer to host and yes I think it's a great idea. Please request from one of the Moderators to move this thread to whereever they feel is appropriate. Then just do your thing. It would be cool if it ended up being by a repository of all months. Also modem/bootloader updates would be cool.
Again, thanks for the offer!
