So, I realize that anybody can plug a ps4 controller into their phone with an acessory and play, but...
Without rooting your Android device, is it possible to use a PS4 controller over bluetooth?
I searched, and I stumbled upon this vid:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1Ejqh8dYes
but I don't know how legitimate it is
Anybody here tried doing it?
Here's the app that supposedly let's use wirelessly connect your PS4 controller to your phone without rooting:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.poke64738.usbjoygold&hl=en
Also, in that page it says that it used a "USB BT CSR Dongle"
I have no idea what that is, though you can apparently find it here:
http://www.dx.com/p/ultra-mini-bluetooth-csr-4-0-usb-dongle-adapter-black-143276#.VAzuC8KwJcQ
Anybody know what's up with that?
Thanks!

Hi
Since I updated Xperia Z1 Compact to 14.5.A.0.270, screen mirroring service will fail when outputting on TV. There is attempt on TV to connect to (the message "Connecting..." is displayed) but shortly after I receive the following message on the phone:
"Mirroring error - Your output device does not support HDCP. Cannot mirror. You still can mirror some apps and unprotected content to the device".
The thing is that using WiDi from the laptop towards TV will work. Also, In KitKat, I succeeded to run screen mirroring from the Xperia Z1 Compact. So I don't suspect anything from the TV set side.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
mine only worked after several tries.... i dont know why, and i didnt do anything different. just kept trying...
I had a similar issue and saw there was a similar issue for z3 owners on the Sony forums http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperi...t-Display-Adaptor-Miracast/td-p/891178/page/3 and they mentioned there is a fix on the next release.
The problems is quite simple and quite annoying at times, well most of the times...
I can connect to generic bluetooth devices like an OBD tester, or Sony Smartwatch, or even car audio systems but when I try to connect to my iQOS device (from the device app) I get an annoying error stating: Incorrect PIN or Passkey.
Well I thought that was weird, and tried connecting the iQOS device to my Xiaomi via the standard bluetooth settings, without the companion app and the same message popped up.
So then I thought that maybe the iQOS required a special pin or passkey provided only by the companion app, but apparently the companion app can't send the code to the device? What may be the reason for this error? On my old Sony device (Android 8.0 was the last official OS on that device) I just installed the companion app and the device would connect without a problem.
Anyone know a fix for this kind of situations? Searched all the internet and problems like this were found on Fitbit devices, but they were quickly fixed by using Fitbit companion app... So I can't connect my iQOS device to my Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite.
Yeah, I have similar experience with my Fitbit Smartwatch... no way to get it work properly "Incorrect PIN or Passkey."
I have Vivo nex s, Android 9. Same problem (((
Dear readers,
I have a A50 and a PS4 controller.
After trying multiple times and resetting phone and controller I have still no luck.
Inside setting it says the controller is connected, but when I press the buttons on the controller the phone does not respond.
The light on the ps4 controller is white. (indicating it is connected)
As soon as I try to turn bluetooth off the bluetooth switch gets stuck until I reboot the phone.
I got the latest software update from October.
I tried the same controller on Note 9 and S7 everything is working as it should only on the A50 I get problems.
My question is, is there any other A50-PS4 controller users here with the same problem?
And did any of you solve the issiue or do we have to wait for a Samsung update.
Here is a similar issue with an S10 from march created by Smow , with other users responding with A50 and A70 with same problem.
Cant post any links yet. It is on the Samsungcommunity if you Google for 'PS4 Controller Connection Issues' you will find it.
Two days ago when COD Mobile came out i tried that out and had the same issue. Saw in samsung community that there are a lot of users having the same problem. I guess it is a bug that should be fixed by an update. One user suggested to use the controller over usb but i did not tried out that as i had no otg cable at the moment. Thinking to try it out after work today.
Same here
I have the exactly same problem... Looking and waiting for solutions.
Will post any solutions, if I find one...
Thanks!
Any Update?
Can anyone confirm whether it works now after all these updates?
Any Updates, buddy?

Did u find anything?
Problem not solved Its continue Why samsung can't fix this?
Who says it's a software limitation and not a hardware one?
Afaik Android 10 is a requirement for proper connection...
Tenho o mesmo aparelho e também o mesmo problema. Até agora nada de soluções.
finally!
today was installed an update of about 700mb official Samsung. It has included some improvements in camera, wifi and also addressing this defect of dualshock 4. I am relieved, months of waiting for this fix.???
So, I'm confused. I'm using the galaxy A50, and my current OS is 10, and I can connect the dualshock 4 to my phone via bluetooth, but when I open Playstation Remote Play, it tells me my phone doesn't support dualshock4 so I can't use it. What am I missing here, since you folks seemed to have gotten it to work?
I have tried to connect my gamepad via the adapter that comes out of the box but it doesn't register it in any way. We tried the same thing on my brothers phone (huawei mate 10 lite i think) and it works. So i'm wondering if p2 is lacking the hardware for a gamepad or mouse support or is this a software thing? Is there any program that can make it work?
Thanks in advance.
