Hello guys, what apps are you using to control the CPU?
I am mostly interested in reducing the CPU clock speed in order to mitigate (or at least delay) the effects of thermal throttling while playing intensive games such as Battle Royale titles, where fluidity is very important. I was using Kernel Adiutor, but for some reason it failed to set the clock speed very often. No-Frills can't detect root access on my device.
I'm currently using the latest stock 7.1.1, rooted and using supersu.
PD: my older version of ES Explorer can't see root either, sending files over WiFi to another ES user is broken as well. I'm currently running 4.0.1.2, which seems to be the last good version. Is there any modded version around that I am yet to hear of? Thanks for your time

so ive been really annoyed with game lag on my phone recently . I used to think it was just a normal part of android and the way its system works and keeps interrupting the processer to do other tasks in the background while I play, but amazingly enough i looked at some youtube videos and saw people playing on it with pretty much 0 lag. So what do you think I should do to get this fixed?
1. My set up is as follows: Inspire 4 G running Absolution Rom overclocked to 1.3 GHz whenever i open a game, using ADW launcher with 7 home screens and 8 main widgets apart from shortcuts on my home screens : widgets = android pro widgets facebook widget and calendar widget, speak to it assistant widget, some random clock widget, time magazine widget, CNN widget, evernote widget and a bookmarks widget. One day ago i also installed chainfire 3D trying to solve this but havent noticed any reall difference and the NENA mark test actually got worse with only 29 FPS now instead of my previous scores of 32 and 34 on a regular basis. active programs that i think the system would keep on all the time are whatsapp, Go-SMS, email, tasker, and the call recorder.
2. the games lagging that ive tested so far: temple run and real racing 2. gun bros used to lag on the stock rom but is okay on absolution.
so what do you think is my problem? should I download some plugin for chainfire? overclock some more? is it my widgets?? also would a phone slow down with more programs installed? I have a large 32 Gb Sd Card, does that affect my phone's speed?

No need for chainfire...
1. what i know from my personal experience, is that sense roms are ram hungry so you have to pretty much kill all the apps before playing games.
2. If you want good gaming experience? get LC ICS as it has the latest gpu drivers for adreno 2xx, and overall gaming on it is much better according to my own experience.
Absolution isn't a Sense ROM. I use Absolution as one of the ROM's on my SD card on my Boot Manager & it plays Temple Run flawlessly. With no overclock or ChainFire & undervolted -50ma. It's something with ur setup. Did u do a full wipe before flashing Absolution?

Hi, i'm using the franco kernel r66 nightly with android revolution 10 rom 4.2.2, The newest one now. Oc'd to 1.5 ghz with 700mhz min and interactive governer and i'm experiencing lag in the game need for speed most wanted. I have no tasks open and it feels really really slow, 0.5x slower, like the timer in the top right counting up is choppy. How can i get the performance that youtube demos of this game on the gnex has? The videos on youtube, they're playing it perfectly but im not playing it perfectly.
I also have force gpu rendering on with android revolution hd
You are playing the game with all graphics unlocked AKA QuadCore quality smartphones
It happened because franco kernel overclocked the graphics to 512mhz, and the game thinks you have a awesome phone ( and you do!)
If you force it to go back to the original Nexus graphics, you'll want the nice graphics back, so my sugestion, is:
If you want to play the game, CPU - 1500mhz or 1600, and Governor: Performance (this is the key point)
You can also tweak other performance settings in the custom kernel part (in the franco kernel updater app), like finding what IO suits you best for the game.
With those tweaks, i run the game with full 30fps, except 1 or 2 tracks, in which there is a lot of water on the ground, but in those tracks it is completely playable still(23~27fps), but the game runs well in most tracks, with amazing refletions and shadows
Edit: Don't force GPU rendering
Wait, Wouldn't it make the game think i dont have the quad core phone if i use a trinity kernel 384mhz gpu? Then wouldn't that be fine?
Thankyou for the tip.
No idea, but it might work like that
Although in my opinion, i prefer the game with those graphics
I can withstand those 1 or 2 tracks
Thank you for everything, I flashed trinity and it worked, Honestly i dont see the difference but now its so much fun since it's playable now

Please help..
Am using samsung core. Not even one game plays smooth in my phone
I just finished rooting my phone, installed Monster rom.(Even before root, it wasn't good at all)
I've set the frequency max-1.2ghz and min.frq-700. Governor- Performance.
Is there anyway i can play em smooth ????
My note2 n7100 is overheating in games like clash of clans.
It reach 80°C / 176°F 1 minute after i open the game.
Yes, energy saving mode is already active!
The scren get too hot. Its like burn fingers.
But on other tasks like surfing web, or seen movies, the temperature is just around 50°C / 122°F.
Is there a way, other than activate energy saving mode, to down temperature wile playng games?
Is cpu temperature about 80°C / 176°F a normal temperature?
Its safe to play 3 or 4 hours os game in this hight temperature?
My android is rooted. Is there any kind of processor frequency control app or custom firmware that open me possibilities to control cpu temperature?
Thanks!!!
I just realize that if I zoom in the game the temperature drops down 20%.. but still hot.. I think the only solution is some underclock.. its possible?
You can download no cpu frills on playstore. It controls ur cpu frequency and u can change governors too. Try playing with them and see which one suits you best. If there's no big difference, try changing rom. Good luck.

Hey all...
So mobile gaming has become quite a large focus in the phone world. So I'm assuming... If someone wanted to make sure there phone ran at a constant frame rate as a PC, there must be an app that allows you to set up profiles that are app specific to control the governor on the phone...
I say this because I'm a clash of clans lover and my baby of a G3 running BlissPop overheats like a son of a gun...
I have nebula kernel and using smartass2 gov
I know it clocks up to 1.7Ghz on all 4 and I KNOW clash doesn't need that to run smoothly...
I would love yo now if theres a way to set up a governor profile so I can have clash run at 1.5Ghz or around there and try to stay away from the 100c+ range in temperature
Thanks in advance,

I currently have my SM-T320 rooted and installed xPosed and AppSettings so I can change the DPI on certain apps and get rid of bloatware. I use OTG USB with an Alpha Lexicon to record music using Audio Evolution Mobile. I also have Viper4Android installed.
Everything is working well but I'm here to ask if I would be better off flashing one of the ROMs. If so which would be the most feature stripped? I don't check email or run much in the way of apps. I see that newer Android versions have better memory management and run faster.
Any advice on which ROM would be best for my music use would be very appreciated. One absolute requirement is being able to change DPI per app. I couldn't even read the screen with reading glasses before I installed xPosed and AppSettings.
