So I bought the xperia X because I trusted the Snapdragon 650 over hisilicon kirin 659, hoping that it will give a performance boost in gaming.
And then I searched for final fantasy pocket edition, which runs badly on Huawei nova 2i, The game is incompatible with my device, I was like "what the hell??? "
So as a hardcore final fantasy fan, this is definitely ... .something.
I'm on android 8.0, software ver. June
And do you have any options to install incompatible game??
Update: So I tried ApkPure, the game works perfectly, I can even sign into google play account.
Don't know why ggplay store hides this cool game when Xperia is from Japan and so does the game (lol, Jk)

you bought X in 2018 ?
should have gone with XZs (slight price difference) and has amazing performance!

yeah, I bought X in 2018 because it is half the price of xzs where I live :crying:
besides, I'm still a student, relying on parents. When I grow up I'm going to buy all the smartphones I want

however that half price amount may have given you some amazing Xiaomi or Lenovo that run your desired game
how you will have either root or find a way for that game to work

Yes, of course, I know many Xiaomi phones out there that is better (xiaomi note 5 pro, note 3) or even Asus max m1
nokia X6, meizu, samsung duo, A5, blah blah.
But I still choose this one because I love the design of this phone and I also get many coupons along with it, like a free portable charger and a sony's headphone.
though I have to admit I missed an opportunity to buy Xiaomi note 6 at this price . People are just too fast.

I'm going to buy wave II today, why? that's because it has the same hardware as galaxy s and it's 200 CHF (stronger then USD) cheaper than galaxy s and now that the android 2.2 alpha is here, i have no reason not to buy this. I would like some quick suggestions about this device...i mean...i would want to have a moderate gaming on this device + video calling on yahoo/skype...so tell me if there are good games for bada and what's the future of this phone (android stable with dual boot?)
Dito. Got mine today and don't know whether to keep it or sell it. But where did you find an Android alpha?

Froyo 2.2 on Wave
Looking forward to more suggestions
Forget about Androbada. Nothing has been released, they only ***** about everything and I think they stopped working. Looks like a fake to me.

Dont buy a bada device! you will be disapppinted. there is no skype or anyother voip app. if you say you want to buy it because of hardware , then i will say a hardware is useless unless it has a good software. in the same range you could buy other android device like galaxy ace. Bada app store is filled with bul**** applications. there are 13000 apps and games in market but only 10 or 20 usefull applications.13000 figure is achived because a lots of theme are in app store. due to this huge no of theme searching for a particular app is troublesome. The no. of free app available in market is not good and none of them are of any use. Web browsing experience is very poor. web browser is crap. address bar hides the top portion of page and you cant click a single link situated on top of the web page. No flash 10.1 support. And many more more disadvantages. if i try to write them all the whole page will be filled.

just a clarification ...there aren't 13'000 apps for Bada on the market, there are 13'000 apps on Samsung Apps for any platform (Bada, Android, JavaME, Windows Mobile..), the number of bada apps is nearly less than 3'000 + more than approximately 1'500 themes
(I think this discussion was opened in the wrong section...)
so buying wave II wouldn't be a good idea? problem is the store where i returned my phone are not paying back the money and they want me to buy a phone off their shop and they have no decent android phones (no galaxy ace..) so my only choices are:
-Wave II
-Xperia X10 mini
-sony ericsson vivaz u5i
-LG optimus one
and the phone with the best hardware is wave II...so idk what to buy

ehh is difficult to choose between those four, but all have the same price? in this case probably the waveII would be the best choice...2th the optimus one, is a good device with froyo, but it has a lower-end hardware, regardless of the operating system, you'll feel the difference with the wave (small, low quality and low resolution display, worst camera, especially for video, really poor gpu, no front camera for videocall...)
You said you'll use it for gaming and skype, if you don't want it now (especially skype will be availabe in future), waveII it's good for you
Bada is new so it has disadvantages but to say that it sucks...No.
For what can you use your phone? To make a call? that works...
To write a message on a forum? that works also...
To use as gps? that works... (bought a life time license for route66)
To play a game while I'm on the toilet? that works also...
regards
btw bada 2.0 is coming
Well to be honest, if the person refuses to refund. The only choice i have is to buy Wave II. Tobe honest, i love playing games on smartphones so these are the things why i would like to buy a smartphone.
-Gaming high end...
-Youtube (good quality video)
Skype is just an addition since wave II got front facing camera but i guess there'll be one in the future. I also got interested in buying Wave II when i heard that android was being ported to the phone and of course there are heck loads of things to do on android rather then Bada in terms of gaming...but i don't want to buy an android phone with low end hardware only because it's android...

You wouldn't have said that if you would've owned a Samsung galaxy S but surprisingly it's way too expensive compared to Wave II.
What do you mean by "Also not all youtube clips play on bada."
There is no true application for youtube in bada like for android.
It's a link on browser.
Not the same application for Facebook too.
But there is a very good application for Dailymotion.
I have both galaxy and samsung s8500, I use daily the galaxy S because of size screen and facebook application.
But I love my bada phone, very simple to use, good battery life, excellent photo and camera recorder.
You will only be disappointed if you love installing a ton of applications on your phone... If you have a normal utilization (phone, internet, sms, photo, video) wave II is a very good phone very stable. And Bada 2.0 is coming
how knows when bada 2.0 would be comming...and the bad news about bada is that it's not like android where everyone can develop their own apps/games and upload it on the market...i have no idea which set to buy now...

He means that youtube videos on desktop version which use flash version more than Flash 9, will not play. But you can get most of the videos on mobile youtube and the quality is awesome on wifi. On 3g, it automatically changes to low quality.

As epic as that would be... my money is on it being the launch of the "real" PS Suite on the Xperia Play :/
I think its just PS Suite and some other games, I don't have plans to get a new device soon either so I kind of hope its not a Xperia Play S or whatever because I need to face the temptation lol...
Off course it would be great for a successor but for me its just the wrong time lol, and by the time I do want a new device it would probably be by Jan 2013.

Agreed, I would rather pay £1,200 for a new iMac (I desperately need a new one, the computer I have now is about 2 years old) than dash out £600 - £700 for a device which will be out dated within a year or two (As in no more updates from Sony)

before the release of ICS for the Play
I will probably not jump on an Xplay2 upon initial release, whenever in life that my or may not come to be, Im to in love with mine the way it is now and I dont really need or care to get a new one, but I have an upgrade on my account that is waiting for one should I ever change my mind
Just what if - Sony used the hardcore gamer group, as a test group to how such a phone would be accepted... I for myself love it and many do so too and with all the work we put in, they surely must have recognized that.
They saw that developers jumped on the wagon and optimized their games for the dpad (or at least made it available) 300+ games so far. If you bring a play2 out you can advertise with those + PS games maybe PSP games
They got all the Technologies to actually make a real good media/play phone with Bravia / Playstation / Walkman.
Tho I dont believe it will be with quad core or come out right now. It will probably be a Dual Core on 2ghz 1-2gig ram, some sony assigned graphics chip, 2 gb internal storage - so you have to buy the new special sony memory cards that will only fit in the phone.
Deliver it to Christmas and pay the review magazines properly this Time and cash in on the casual gamers.
(So basically the play was a succesfull testrun, sony now commits and makes resources available for a play2 )
// To be serious.
Also think it will be PS Suite

If they were smart they would make it quad core. HTC and Samsung already use quads and Motorola is working on it also. If the really make a play 2 I don't understand why it wouldn't be up to date on the physical end, dual cores are nice but a huge selling point would be pure power.
Edit : plus the vita isn't that old . An Xperia play 2 would probably hurt vita sales even if the xp2 came out for Christmas time. They have slightly different markets, sure, ones a phone and ones not but.. just my 2c

Hello i've got a question?...
I have now a htc wildfire and it is time to buy an new one I like gaming on mobiles, So my decision is buying a Xperia Play for its WONDERFULL keypad and mainly for it's price(i have a limited amount of money for a phone) ,but is it good for era 2012-2013 gaming? like modern combat 4 and Grand Theft Auto® Vice city 10th year anniversery and maybe other wonderfull games. and is the resulotion also good, i've got optimus 2x in thaughts but i read it breaks too fast and battery sucks

Yep.
But might not be the best choice for games in 2013 or 2014.
It's a good phone but without overcloing or good optimized games, I don't think that it is highly recommendable to buy it for that purpose you have of playing 2013 and 2014 games on it.
But if you can get it cheap why don't try it?
^Yeah, forget to state that its also really cheap.
Get it, it's a good phone. It's not as generic looking as the others.
Are there maybe other phones that are cheap and can run these games
How much are you looking to spend?
Used Galaxy Nexus are going cheap right now.

The current games aren't running as smoothly as they should. I do not intend to sound pessimistic, but I doubt games in '13 or '14 will run smoothly, if the world still exists by then.
No it isn't. Anybody telling you to buy the phone is either a gaming enthusiast or really loves the phone. The phone has been long abondoned by Sony, so no updates. It is also really underpowered and lag becomes apparent unless you've overclocked. However, compare it to even the SGS2 which was released around the same time and this phone is still not smooth. There are people using this device as a pure android gaming device now and many including developers have bought new devices. As well as this, the phone is thick which can be an annoyance at times. Before anybody says my phone is not setup properly, I am running .62 stock, debloated, overclocked.
EDIT- The battery sucks as well.

I just bought a Galaxy Nexus for $200, so you just have to look. Its not as fast as the S3in term of gaming, but yhe software is better on a whole due to being stock Android and you can run a kernel to overclock the GPU.

I have both these phones and I can tell you my Play outperforms my 2X in everything.
My 2X isn't rooted/custom whereas my Play is, but it's no excuse for it to perform as badly as it does. You're also tied down to Android 2.3 on the 2X as there is a problem with video accelleration in ICS/JB... Something to do with Nivvy not releasing proper libs or something.. Not sure.
But yeah, Play all the way.
Not to mention, all those emulators and vintage games you can now play again on a handheld device... The play is around £100 off ebay these days, for that kind of price you simply can't say no! Especially when all these developers are working so hard to make the Play so much better than Sony ever could..
What about xperia U , P, Arc S, Ray, neo V
The play is a wonderful phone but now day graphics are a little much for it now unless you O/C and everything else but I would suggest you get like the RAZR M with a. 2Ghz processor but single core, but the play is just out of date and I suggest you get a better phone... but I love my play
Sent from my GBTweaked V7.1 R800x using Tapatalk 2
A phone, with a genuine gamepad, that can emulate everything up to and including N64 and Playstation,
That will NEVER get old for me.
Screw new games.
For older games, it's the best thing you can buy. But most newer games and even some games from last year will lag or not have the same graphics as a higher end device. If you care about how your games look, then don't get this. Another thing is, the single core 1 GHZ processor is really slow, even with OC. A newer dual core or quad core device will be a much better experience when it comes to thing like web browsing and general things you would do on a phone as well as running games very fast. Multi-tasking is not good on this phone on any ROM other than stock. It has a very low amount of ram. My minimum specs for an Android phone after this will be dual core and 1 gb of RAM. Single core phones make android look bad imo.
I'm interested in buying the Xiaomi Mi Max. But before I do I got some questions:
1) Is it compatible with T-mobile USA on their 4G LTE?
2) Can you install Marshmallow on it?
3) Is the phone easily bendable making it not structurally sound?
4) I saw a review that said that the video recording was jumpy and not stable. If this is true, is there a fix to this?
5) What are any problems with it you dont like?
6) Which is better, this phone or the Doogee Y6 Max?
7) Do you recommend this phone?

I own a MI Max 128gb helium, and all is perfect for me, Miui 8 is android 6.0.1 the phone doesn't bend at all already had a go and it's solid good quality device, that bloke on the web must have bought a bad one, As for the dodgee I have a friend who has one and they really are dodgey the battery life last at best half a day with it, where as the MI MAX will easily reach 2 days with moderate use, The performance is absolutely great on the MI Max Prime, as for video recording mine is perfect so must be just the odd person getting a broken device, overall I highly recommend the MI Max Prime best phone I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of Android devices sure you will enjoy it too!
The MI Max Prime supports every band in the UK so should work fine anywhere else, in fact it uses more bands than most UK bought smart phones so all good
PS I highly recommend you spend the extra 40 bucks and get the Prime 128gig model, for the storage extra gig of ram and the snapdragon 652 with 2 extra cores making 8 in total it's a rocket of a phone

Well its a delightful phone for gaming especially with headphones. GPU is not top of the pop's but it will run things smoothly in 96% of Android game title's present on a play store. For instance Real Racing 3 (EA Game's) is totally smooth wile GPU is kept at 433MHz (out of 600) most of the time as it doesn't need more power for it on the other hand Xenowerk utilities GPU fully at max frequency & on longer bigger lv's after 15~20 min it throttles down a bit but still effect it totally smooth game play also available games based on Unreal Engine & Unity will run nicely. I didn't tried the Dolphine Emulator nor do I intend but I don't think Adreno 510 is a stellar choice for it (nor that their is a phone right now with a GPU for it that I would recommend).
Best regards.

I didn't tried the Dolphine Emulator nor do I intend but I don't think Adreno 510 is a stellar choice for it (nor that their is a phone right now with a GPU for it that I would recommend).
Best regards.

Appreciate the indepth response. Do you know if a PS2 emulator can work on it?
I know that the phone wonk work on tmobile USA's 4G LTE. But will it work on its 3G band?
Its a coin toss now between the Xiaomi Mi Max and Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra. The Xiaomi is prced at $160 while the Asus is at $500 but with a 7 inch screen. And I love big phones. I'll probably still go for the Xiaomi. Let mw know if you know if it can use tmobile's 3G.. and thanks.

Think PS 2 Emulator will work just fine.
I don't live in the US but in EU & in most EU countries LTE works with an exception of Netherlands. 3G should work in the US I think. A tip; go to the GSM Arena & compare bands to the carrier used ones.
The Mi Max Prime 4/128 GB is still 300$ without import taxes the lesser Prime model (3/64 GB still with S652) is probably the best buy & Asus is actually 6.8".
Best regards.

Hey there today I broke the screen of my Huawei P30 Pro,and now I am in need of a new phone and dont have a lot of money and I was considering A72,but the one and only thing that I am botherd with since its procesor is much weaker then that of my p30 pro, Can it run Dota underlords, it is literaly the only game I play and its a bit of an ritual for me,morning coffe and underlords. I chose A72 cause of price, big screen and watter resistance, and its curently on sale in one of the store in my country. Can someone test it pl for 20,30 mins on good graphic settings,or if someone by any chance already plays that game on the A72. I need fast reply cause the sale is only today, thank you in advance!
DOTA Underlords has like .. very low requirements, it can even run on 32-bit devices, 1.5 GB of RAM, ...
Consider seeing this video for A72 PUBG gameplay. Even the older A71 is a great choice.
Developers also optimize games for Snapdragon chips more than they do for Kirin chips, comparing a chip vs. chip isn't the same as comparing device vs. device.

I used to play this game, but now I switched to Auto chess, because Dota optimization was very upsetting (. You can read reviews in the market, everyone writes about poor optimization. I'll say this, it's not comfortable to play at high settings. The game is generally unoptimized.
A72 is not to say that the game. For this price, you can take a smartphone with a more powerful processor for games. A72 is still more about cameras
