Recently I unlocked bootloader of xperia m and got stuck into bootloop so I flashed 4.1.2 after that I used fastboot method to install twrp recovery and installed custom rom from here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m/development/rom-resurrection-remix-nougat-v5-8-0-t3512094) now as my phone is single sim one there will be no problem but as it came to the setup screen after clicking next it told me insert sim card so I reinserted but nothing happens. After this I thought to reinstall custom rom but to my utter surprise it does not boot into twrp recovery but it boots into some unknown recovery. So again I fastboot and installed twrp and again installed the custom rom but nothing changes sim does not work. Now I thought to flash stock rom but I cant't do that too it showing me unknown device. So what shall I do now to get out of this situation.

Hello
This is my last ditch attempt to fix my HTC ONE X, before I resign and send it to HTC for a repair. The phone was rooted and locked to T-mobile UK when the update for 4.0.4 came through 2 days ago. I downloaded it OTA and installed the update. After the update had installed the phone was in a bootloop. It kept loading the home screen and rebooting.
I have tried the following with no success!
Initially couldn't get access to recovery, but when I reflashed recovery I have no access to the sd card. The drive shows up on my computer when connected via usb but it says there is no drive connected and all my files appeared to have been deleted, although the reset folders are visible! So can't transfer a custom ROM and flash.
I have reflashed a boot.img and now the ONE X doesn't even get to the home screen it just hangs at the htc splash screen.
I have also relocked the bootloader to flash a RUU. This hasn't worked either. It appears to be working and the phone screen turns black with an install icon, but the RUU stops after approx 1 min, says it's completed, but nothing has changed on the phone.
This has been a nightmare and am just about to package it up and send to HTC and accept any charges for rooting!
Please help!!!
Can you get the phone in hboot/fastboot ?
What do you see when you enter
Fastboot devices or adb devices ?
If it works unlock your bootloader again with the unlock token.google the exact fastboot command, don't know it for sure now i'm on my phone.
Reflash custom cwm recovery (5.8.0.4 if i'm guessing it right) you can mount sd card within recovery
From there flash a custom rom again.
Flash kernel from the rom and install it with a full wipe.
Think it's your best option as far as I can see now
If your bootloader is locked and you have a stock recovery you can not flash anything
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One X
Thank you for your reply.
I managed to finally get access to the SD card and transfer a custom ROM. Which I flashed and the phone is working again!!
Thank you for your help!! So relieved!
hi,
i have sony xperia L c2104 ..i decided to root the phone as my warranty period is over.
as adviced in some posts,,i unlocked bootloader as shown in sony website.
then phone got stuck in splash screen forever.
then as as said in wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_taoshan i have done all the steps and continued till sideloading of downloaded cm 12.1 nightly. final msg in cmd prompt showed Total xfer: 1.00. then i pressed reboot system now on phone. this should end installation of cm as said in the post.
but my phone again restarts in cm recovery mode only.
i repeated flashing boot img and sideloaded cm12.1. again the phone is in recovery mode as i restart.
pls solve the problem.
While in boot recovery, try install from sd card, and pick the cm 12.1 file that you have sideloaded and install. Then reboot again and see if it opens to CM.
Have patience, it is a specific procedure to get all the steps right, and can be a little different everytime. Post here and let me know how it's going.
The things I noticed about the bootloader unlocker from Sony were: it doesn't have you load a super user, and its not telling you how to install the new ROM. Me personally, I've always installed super user, since some apps and ROMs need it to function. You should still be able to install CM12.1 without it, but no guarantees. If not, try root with odin3, which worked for me. Unfortunately, I don't have an xperiaL to reproduce the exact steps needed.
Hi guys. One of my friend has this phone. Yesterday night he did these steps:
1. unlocked bootloader (booting properly)
2. flashed twrp recovery
3. flashed su for rooting but didnt know how to update su binaries (booting properly)
4. went to twrp and partitioned external sd card (fat32+ext3+swap)
5. fixed permission
after restarting it got stuck at htc boot logo
so he gave me phone for repairing xD
here's status.
i removed sdcard.. put it in card reader.. n merged all partitions into single one just like it was before partitioning
now, i am able to see that white screen called "software status" (don't what does it called) through which i can have access to:
recovery
factory reset
simlock
check smartsd
image crc
show barcode
so basically, i need to get the installed stock htc firmware working again.
i searched forums and found European stock 5.0.2 fw. so should i flash that zip from twrp on this Indian origin phone??
or should i try factory resetting from that white screen??
basically i want to undo partitioning modifications from os and get the phone working on stock fw just like before. thanks
The "software status" white screen is fastboot. After reading your post, I think that the problem is that the device is rom-less, and I assume it happened when your friend repartitioned SD card.
Since the device is unlocked and you have a custom recovery installed, I'd go and try to install any of the custom roms posted here in the forums.
Check what version of twrp you have because there are some roms that don't run with older versions.
Thanks for replying. I'll try any custom based rom. The recovery is 2.8.1.0 (AZ development flash screen appears before twrp home screen). However, I want to know, if the European stock fm will work on this Indian variant device? Coz I tried to search for Indian / Asian fm files but no luck. How do I get exact fm matching with this one?
By fm you mean radio?
Anyway don't worry about that, because I live in Argentina and haven't had any problems with any rom I flashed.
If I were you, I'd flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3249856 because it's pretty much bugless and doesn't have any mods pre-installed.
Just out of curiosity, could you go to fastboot and post the software version number? That'd be useful in case we can find a stock backup for your variant.
Okay so i went through the bootloader unlock process on my Note 4 without any major hickups, was running on CM13 ever since until i wanted to play with Gear VR which from what i could find required me to be on a stock based/touchwiz rom, first up was Omega which installed fine but would boot loop at welcome screen, so then i went with Evolution and almost same story, just boot loop. Figured it had to be a problem with the firmware version on my phone and without thinking i downloaded the CPF1 firmware and flashed with Odin. Flash went fine with no problems, booted into marshmallow just fine, enabled usb debugging and rebooted to flash TWRP for recovery and i get zilch. Every single TWRP and CWM recovery file i try to flash end in a failure. Can't even get Kingroot to give me root in MM so I think i'm stuck...dont even see the Unlock logo and Custom on the main screen after i hit the power button to turn on.
SO.........
Big question is, did i just re-lock my bootloader when i flashed firmware CPF1?
I think I did this same thing a while ago, were you on an older version of CM13 from May or so? Anyway, what I had to do was flash stock 5.1 in Odin with the up to date kernel, modem, etc and follow the guide to re-unlock your bootloader
Well got it re-flashed and unlocked again, gotta give a shout out to the great guys here on XDA.
Next question is do i need to flash a new bootloader or modem in odin/twrp before moving to a MM rom or is that stuff usually included in the rom? My experience in roms and stuff is from my old Razr Maxx HD and never jumped operating system version with it so i'm not sure on this one.
Hello community!!
This is my first post here ^^
So I'm trying to root my g3412. After struggling to find drivers for S1 Fastboot, I successfully unlocked my bootloader (via Flashtool) . The only thing left is to flash the TWRP recovery and root it.
But I'm experiencing some weird problems.
When I'm trying to flash the recovery using ADB everything seems ok but when i try to turn on my phone it bootloops between the "your phone cannot be trusted" message and the Sony logo. After i freaked out for a couple of hours i found out that the only way to overcome this loop is to flash a fresh stock rom via FlashTool.
I'm back at step 1 and i can't really find a way to flash the recovery so i can continue my rooting process..
Also I think i found out while searching that g3412 doesn't have a stock recovery, so i guess that has to be considered as well.
Any ideas??
Thank you all in advance!!
You better change your handset...
Well i'm sorry to say but you can't root xperia xa1 plus,. the reason is there is no working TWRP for this mobile... I've tried almost every boot img on internet, none of them worked.... you better change your handset.. as there will be no TWRP img in future...
