i have bought S6. Phon i bought was sm-g920p with sm-g920f rom(6.0.1). I upgraded my phone, It changed to sm-G920P usa version. My phone is now compromised. I tried lot of things. Is there any thing that can change to international device. My phone has 3g network only now.
That's because like mine, the s6 you bought is actually an S6 Sprint model (G920P) and not the international model(G920F). If i remember correctly the rom was modified with G920F baseband. I'm guessing your cell provider is using Band 3 LTE like mine. That's why u cant get LTE to work. This is link to that firmware. Its android version 6.0.1. But i cant remember if you need to flash by odin or twrp. You can check the zip after you've downloaded.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5K2bv3OWv4fbm8zWXVIWFpmRWs/view
My phone is now 7.0 Nougat
Is it ok to install this rom. btw is my device no longer compromised? i didmt root this phone, but samsung internet says your phone is rooted??
I have the very same device although I didn't nothing yet..
i found another website with a rom to convert to G920F. Tried on my phone. it was successful. now my G920P can get 4G band 3. If you are brave enough and know what you are doing, then you can try. But still, its marshmallow (6.0).
https://tricksdoctor.com/samsung-galaxy-s6-g920p-convert-g920f/
You sure you are getting lte with your G925P ? as I know the G925P doesn't have the hardware support to receive the band 3 (1800mhz)...it supports other lte bands like band 4,5,12 etc.
Changing G920P to G920F can fix Hotspot option to show on settings?

just thought i should update everyone. i did a bit of digging. and guest what, i think the convert rom are all fake. Even the one i use is actually a modded g920P modem. the 4g signal is actually just a system ui mod. Just out of curiosity i contacted 1 of the converted rom seller out there in the internet. and he admit that its actually just a rom with modded system ui that will show h+ signal icon as 4g. it wont actually allow you to use band 3 lte.

i want to know why the phone gets bricked when we flash some other version's firmware , is it some deep hidden hardware difference as gsmarena.com says specs are same only names are different (and possibly the firmware ).
is there a work around.
because in ideal case if hardware is same then software can be of any version.

"Specs" are the same but the actual settings/hardware used is different. VERY different. Everything is region specific and carrier specific. That is why.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG_G2#Model_variants
Here you'll see clearer why they are so different.

SGH-M919 is the T-Mobile variant, so it should be no problem.
The easiest way to go back to stock is to use KIES, but that will revert you back to V.
You can download stock and flash with ODIN. As long as it is stock T-Mobile and you have a T-Mobile account, WiFi calling will work fine.

No, the modem wouldn't be your problem. Since you are already updated to the official 4.4.2, you now have KNOX to worry about. If you don't care about setting the 0x1 flag, your best bet would more than likely be to flash a custom recovery and a modded/stock ROM specifically for the M919 from the Android Development section. You keep mentioning that you have a Nextel device... just to confirm, you have a T-Mobile SIM, correct? Because if not, WiFi calling won't work for you anyway.
Yup, I have a T-mobile account and the phone has a T-mobile SIM in it
I don't think that KNOX flag is an issue as it is an unlocked Non T-mobile phone.
If I have an issue with the phone at all T-mobile is not going to support it.
The model phone I have apparently is exactly the same as the T-mobile branded phone, when I registered it with Samsung they identify it as a T-mobile phone.

You could, I guess... but I would be willing to bet that it would be a lot cheaper to just get WiFi calling working
Like I said, you'll probably have to forget going the Odin route and use a custom recovery and modded/stock T-Mobile TouchWiz ROM.

Yeah, most every ROM posted in the development section is stable, TouchWiz or AOSP. Just make sure you read the OP to confirm that whichever ROM has WiFi calling included as there are TW ROMs which have been ported to our device from other carrier's S4s.... Only those specifically for the M919 will have WiFi calling and it will be specified in the OP. I'm not going to recommend which ROM to flash, but from someone who's tried them all... you can't make a bad decision whatever you choose.

Yes, you can. The only S4 ROMs you should stay away from are those made for the i9500 and non-standard S4's (i.e. S4 mini, S4 Active, etc). Any other variant of the standard S4 (including the i9505G) is good to go; just use a kernel for your specific device. On that note though, the i9505 and M919 kernels are interchangeable, so there's no need to follow that protocol when using our ROMs for your device and vice versa.

After doing some research my question:
The reason I can't use this firmware is due to the fact that my current baseband is higher than the one I was attempting to flash.
I have FNE2 and was trying to flash FNB4?
Thoughts?
Still looking to do this did anything change here? Has anyone successfully with flashing this with the stock ROM?

Same but different. No WiFi calling or volte. We can run their firmware with no issues.
It's pretty much an Intl 925F type setup but with a bit of Canadian bloat. I'm wondering if someone from TMO has tried to flash the W8 image and then enabled VoLTE/WiFi Calling via the CSC tweaks.
how?

Yes, the 4g icon does mean LTE. I'm running a ROM that my friend compiled and where I live there isn't sprint LTE and I'm using a at&t sim in my phone
Is there a APN fix or something to get LTE working for aicp? So far its my favorite other than only 3g data working. Also if I switch to LTE it says in the sim status that voice and data are lte. Just no mobile connection.

Plus, Do a complete backup and put it in a safe place for safe keeping, even off device (safe it on a pc). This is crucial, especially for your EFS , this is your imei and also what makes your device unlocked.
That way if you lose unlock or just mess up device. You should have a safe way back.

Since the device you are using is N910P (Sprint variant), so in probability, LTE services won't work on your device irrespective of any ROM you use. That's because the LTE bands supported by this variant are entirely different from the ones on which Indian carriers work (as far as I'm aware of).
You might have got "4G" icon on stock when you had bought your device using your carrier SIM but that's just mis-calibration on the software part.
As far as trying different ROMs on your device is concerned, you can flash numerous ones (I've created few threads here where links for international ROMs are present) but only through TWRP & not via ODIN. ODIN can only be used to flash stock N910P ROMs as well as TWRP.

LTE doesn't work in india for your device.. So no VoLTE too.

You should've been on stock MM at least once before flashing this.. Stock MM>TWRP>Full wipe n flash this rom zip plus fix plus n910p path file from post..

No need of sprint sim.. any sim should work if u have unlocked the sim before. (carrier unlock)
First have all files on device/sd card
Then flash twrp via odin, then reboot to recovery(twrp) make full wipe, flash files in order.
To unlock follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68744161&postcount=3

ODIN can only be used to flash stock N910P ROMs as well as TWRP.

flash a verzion rom and verizon baseband for said rom or do i stick with sprint basebands.
sorry for the newbish answer im used to lgs u can unlockem but dont never cross flash anything or u most of the time end up with issues

You can check out Dr. Ketan's ROM too in case the problems in your current ROM persist on a regular basis. The update is out.
