How can I block call notifications from WhatsApp in Secure Folder??
I've tried to block all messages in the Secure Folder settings and I have turned off app permissions, but the WhatsApp call pop up still appear on the screen. Even when my screen is locked... I also tried to deny data access in the background and I also denied battery usage in the background. How do I block it? I don't even have to type in my Secure Folder password to accept the call and have a conversation...

Smh... I contacted Samsung and told them about the problem, they then told me to contact WhatsApp since it's their app... It made me feel a little lost about the issue... And I have the excact same problem with Signal. I guess I will try to contact WhatsApp support about the issue and see what they tell me...
BUMP
Samsung can't do anything. Here's my solution:
Disable any lock for your lock screen. Now when you get a call from within Secret Folder, it will prompt for a password.
Install AppLock https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock&hl=en_US
Lock all your apps and install the lock widget.
Every time you turn on your screen you can choose to lock your phone and unlock your phone from the AppLock widget. It's a fine solution for me. Everytime I get a call from within Secret Folder or outside Secret Folder I have to type in my password to answer the call.

My phone has started making random calls by itself. While the keys are locked. BUT TO ONLY EMERGENCY NUMBERS!. First it's been calling 112 which does nothing in this area. But today it actually called 911. While in my pocket. While the keys were locked. I would have never known but the operator called me back. So I looked through my call log and find a bunch of listings for 112 and finally today for 911. Maybe it would make more sense if random numbers or contacts were called along but thats not the case.
WHat and WhY
I'm running 3VO 3.60
Basically the Emergency numbers can be dialed even if the keyboard is locked. Install maniac Autokeylock () - this will add another layer of keypad safety. His site seems offline currently (http://maniac.fschreiner.de/), so you may need to seek for a download elsewhere. I have no copy available - possibly will do that later.
The author sent me a direct link: http://maniac.fschreiner.de/dmdocuments/Keylock_WM5.CAB
Thanks. I didn't realize it did that. Makes sense now. This program will make the keys automatically lock but will it lock it from dialing 911?

yes it will
i enabled it and I can still call 911 while its locked
here my friend
use this
http://www.logic-unlimited.in/callfirewall.php
this is an all in one software which can block incoming sms and calls
as well as block outgoing calls so just add 911 to ur blacklist so this application will stop it from calling
Perfect! thanks
AKL will block only while the SS is active. No need to configure a call firewall. With the latter you will kill dialing 911 all times - also when you need it!

recently, my google voice app has been showing missed calls when i open the app. i don't need to see it in google voice since it shows in my call log. all i want google voice to show is my voicemails. can i turn off what labels get synced, or just turn off the option. i can't find it in settings. it wasn't doing this before so i'm not sure if a recent update started this.
does anyone know how to do this?
I think u can change it in GVoice settings thru web browser, I've actually changed it before to show those missed calls.

??? its sunder settings/calls
Missed Calls
Place missed calls in the inbox
Send missed calls to my email
the thing is i already checked the browser setting and to place missed calls in the inbox is not selected, yet it's still doing it.
My Samsung skyrocket is doing this same thing and its driving me NUTS! Any solutions yet?
Ive got this problem too and tried to fix via the web interface -- didn't work. The best work around is to go to labels and select inbox and the messages go away. Quite annoying for sure.
i tried to disable the messages label, but i can't find how to do that. i don't want to be selecting the label everytime. that's even more annoying.
anyone know how to fix this
Hola! I'm looking for an sms app that allows me to hide messages from a certain number when received. I don't just want to hide the SMS, but I also want to hide the notifications for messages from certain numbers.
Been trying out Lookout Security and Plan B and their Find My Phone feature. What I notice is that Lookout sends an SMS to your phone, then it starts transmitting its GPS coordinates. Is there any way to hide this notification SMS? If my phone ever gets stolen I don't think it would do me any good for the thief to see a message from Lookout >.>
I've tried Go SMS msg filtering but it doesn't work like how I want it to. It suppresses the msgs and keeps them in a separate folder with no notifications, but what it actually does is smuggle the message and Lookout doesn't get a response that the SMS is received, and thus I cannot start tracking >.>
Any help?
Depends on your company, but you can call them and they can usually block SMS/call from certain numbers.
Sent from my HTC G2 (wish it had sense).
I don't want to block the SMS per se as it is needed by Lookout to start the trace, but what I am actually looking for is for an app that surppresses the notifications of messages from certain numbers. Basically the SMS is received but there will be no notice of it until I check a certain folder or something~
Avast! Mobile Security has those Features. If your phone is stolen you can send an SMS to it that has to begin with your set Avast! Password. Then you can start tracking, lock the device, start a Siren-Tone etc...! The message is not shown. The app is hidden under a fake name and will also inform you if the SIM card has changed and send you an SMS with the new number so you can send your commands.

You may want to take a look at AndroidLost in the market.
I have used SmrtGuart, Webroot, Lookout, and AL seems to work the best and uses zero resources.
You can use the web interface to locate, track, call, take pictures, wipe, record audio, etc and it does not use SMS, but if you do want to use SMS, you have that option to control from another number that you have approved (Google SMS, friend's phone etc). Feature List
It has hidden SMS as well.
I use Cerberus from the market and it has the features you desire

Thanks! I'll try out those apps
All right, before this app is working, but now it's not. I'm using lumia 920. I notice in one of the settings, under privacy > contacts, there is an app listed "block & filter (global)." So where is this feature located?
Also, is there other way to make call + sms work? Are there any other way of blocking?
After the update to the messaging app yesterday, I noticed the 'Blocked Messages' option in the ... menu. Click on that will open the 'Block and Filter' app which lets you block messages, calls, and specific numbers. You can also change the settings to notify you of blocked messages or to auto block people without Caller ID.
You can also access this from the phone app, select the ... menu and then click on 'Blocked calls'
I went back to windows phone 8.1 then went to the excruciate process of updating it back to 10512. It worked, sms+blocking works perfectly! Until i encountered an issue! I Can't create folders! Some apks also don't work unlike before. So i have to reset my phone, but after resetting it, the piece of s**t app does not work again! What is wrong with it?! Can someone help me? Can we play with the registry to fix this?
I have searched all the web for a solution to deactivate the automatic sms every time I reject a call and I havent find anything. Is there a way to disable that feature cause I'm receiving tons of spam calls that I have blocked, and still spamming sms
what are you using to make phone calls/sms. It might be a setting in whatever you are using
the default apps I use, I communicated with vodafone also and they said me that I have not an activated service for missed calls and that it is a phone setting, I haven t managed to disable it
what's the default app
Phone and Messages are the apps
