MOD EDIT: REMOVED: IMEI changing discussion is not allowed on this site
Contact the site you used to purchase, contact the relevant payment companies you used to get it reversed and find the sellers details, you have a digital footprint of the seller, you can find them

I am sorry but it seems like XDA cannot help you with this. Place a claim on your payment method against the buyer and report to Facebook https://www.facebook.com/help/community/question/?id=10151930032553016

I have dug and dug - can't find the company on BBB online- the address brings up a residential location, on Gmaps you can even see someone's pickup outside the garage.
I cannot find the business listed on the FL Dept. of State corporation search (www.sunbiz.org)
I ran the phone number listed on the site and found this:
This site is a scam so don't use it they will rob you
communicareinc.com — This site is a scam and this is the email address that they use [email protected] and Phone: 1-888-357-0451 the claim to sell gsm unlocked cell phones

on 03/25/2009 I dont think So cherry. I Received the Sony Bravia Tv i purchased from them. Maybe you had something wrong somewhere.
So, why is the number linked to a different business name, that also "sells phones"? - although there was a positive review- though it could be BS...-
hate to be so salty, but I straight up emailed the guy and said that if a successful transaction were to take place, I was certain I could send more buisness his way-thinking of everyone here of course. More specifically, if someone on XDA said they bought a TP2 from this site, I would be much more inclined. Any research anyone else can do to verify/disqualify this place would be great.
all those lil sites are bull!! I emailed back and forth with some guy from 1 of these sites, I asked him 2 send me a pic of the phone and I would buy it. The no count Ass**** sent me a pic of a TOUCH PRO!!! and 1 of those factory pics u can get on any site, unbelievable...
To play safe, just buy from HTC authorized reseller. Why bother how much they sell and you will have worried free and no headache.
Hi guys im new to this site so sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. Anyway I found a HTC desire at the V festival and have since spent the last couple of days trying to get it too work but have failed as the phone is blacklisted. So I have two questions for you guys number one is there Anyway to un-blacklist this handset?
And my other question is kinda random, if I cannot un-blacklisted this handset will it work in Ireland on a non UK carrier like meteor?
Thanks in advance
Mark.
What you want to do is illegal.
What you should have done is try to return to its rightful owner. However, you've clearly chosen not to do that and so are guilty of theft.
You'll get no help here.

No its not like that. I got hold of the owner and said id send it too him in the post but he said he has already claimed on insurance for it so he has a new Desire already. I then got his address and shipped him his sim card (for the numbers) and his SD card as I don't need it. He said I could keep the phone but according to T-Mobile once you claim on insurance the other handset will stay blacklisted so its useless now. So I did try to get it back to the owner but he says he has no need for it.
It's still illegal. The phone doesn't belong to you, and if this second story is true, it belongs to the insurance company now.
I fully understand that it's not my phone but it seems a waste as all it could be used for is a media player and web browser. So what would you suggest I do with the phone?
Can't comment what I would do with the phone as it would too be illegal.
Ask elsewhere. I doubt the rules on this forum will allow you to get an answer here.

If he's already claimed on insurance, he's not the phones owner any more - the insurance company is! Trying to sell it could still get you charged with theft.

Dave
No only that but the original owner could get done for insurance fraud for letting you keep it ...:..

Hi all.
I would like to know how to get refund from Windows Phone Marketplace?
I've found some old instructions, but they are not working anymore and I can't find it anywhere on their site.
Please help...
I don't think it's possible. Before buying app, you should saw the warning: something like "That purchase is non-refundable and can not ... blah-blah-blah". By pressing "Buy" button you've agreed with these terms & conditions.

See the Terms of use:
6.9. Refund Policies.
All sales are final and nonrefundable unless otherwise provided by law or by a particular Service offer.
Provided you have extenuating circumstances, a refund is very possible. You'll need to chat with a representative:
https://support.live.com/default.aspx?productkey=oepwp7cf&brand=oepwp7&mkt=en-ww&
For example... I downloaded Bullet Asylum about an hour before it became available in the Marketplace on my phone. I found it on the Marketplace via my web browser and made the purchase, cuz I was so excited to play the game. A week later, I was fiddling around with my phone and looked up BA in the Marketplace. I had the option to buy it, but it wanted to charge my account again. From the game that was already on my phone, it wasn't showing as updatable AND I wasn't able to send a reinstall link from the website. This was forcing me to purchase the game a 2nd time if I wanted to reinstall it... all due to a small glitch.
So, I got on with a rep via chat, explained everything and had the email purchase confirmations to prove it. Rep had to call me to verify my account/identity. Great conversation, understood the problem, and provided a refund.
So... yes... if the circumstances are right, and a refund is warranted, then it can be obtained. Chat support has been very helpful both times I've used them.
Just curious: how much you evaluate your time? Hmm, spending so much time for $0.99 or even $2.99 is too expensive for me, for example

Like I said... a refund is possible, but pretty much only if MSFT made an error.
Yes a refund is possible! I was refunded already because I was charged twice by the same app I contacted Zune support and they emailed me in my language Portuguese and saw the problem and refunded me! I was refunded too once because I bought one app and now it's not anymore on marketplace its name is perfectscan i reseted my phone and wanted to install the app and couldn't because the app wasn't available anymore.

So the refunds are only available for errors, not for those who find out that the app doesn't work correctly and just want money back.

Too bad....it doesn't work like that....
They won't refund you for such a reason...
I purchased a game on my phone, got double billed (billed twice for the same game).
I just fired up a "Zune marketplace Chat support session". Explained what happened, refunded immediately!

No unfortunately not. Because, most apps and games come with trial mode. So you could try before you buy. However, for apps that don't offer trials modes, if the reviews and screenshots don't justify value of it, then I don't buy it.

After shooting some searches on Q&A about unlocking bootloader on xperia play with "Rooting Status: No", I've learned that unlocking can still be achieved (Take note that I didn't find any steps, only references). So I went searching for guides to do so, but without success. If anyone got a direct link to such a guide, I would really appreciate it!
Please note that there is a 0,01% chance of retardation and missing the guides, when they were in front of my eyes.
Thank you in advance!
You must pay 24$ to get it done from Alejandrissimo. That's the only way.
Trust me it's worth it. http://unlock-bootloader.com/

I trust you, but the problem is that I can't pay any money via internet, not that I don't have them, it's just that I don't have any methods available to do so at this point.

Well, I just went to Western Union with one of my parents and sent some money to him and then he did it I suggest you do the same if you can.
You can go down to your local store, buy a $25 prepaid card, give him the stuff, and done! He'll unlock it!
Well the thing I want to know still is how he does it. Do I send him the money and the phone? Or just the money and he gives me a code? Or what is actually happening.

he uses teamviewer and guides you through it, he charges because it costs him to buy the tokens or whatever you want to call them. They have to be bought in batch.

Good guy, he unlocked my boot loader in a matter of minutes. The hardest part was removing that damn sticker, mine was like super glued on or something. That and bridging the connection while attaching the USB. If only I had 3 arms... O the possibilities...
The first batch of S7 active have the waterproof problem. Samsung told that they fixed it in the second batch and replace first batch for free . So when we buy phone from ebay. How can we check that phone is fixed ? The date it was made or imei ?
Thank you you guys. Sorry for my English.
Very good question.
any news on this ??
as im looking to get one in the UK too !
I read some articles saying that it's not specific to any batch. The best strategy is to bring the phone underwater and see if it holds. Good news is that this phone is pretty new so even if you buy from Ebay, it sure is under warranty, as long as the phone is not on any blacklist. Samsung is getting quite good in customer service, at least in my experience. I bought an S7 active from Ebay which has serious scratches and re-booting issue. I called Samsung, sent the phone to them and around a week later, they send back with new main board, new screen and essentially everything new. No more scratches!
thats some great news cppc
are you in the UK too ? if so, which eBayer did you use ? and which samsung contact did you use ?
and lastly, did samsung question how you got the phone etc ?? ..

No I'm in the US. I just called the Samsung support contact on their website. They didn't ask me for proof of purchase, just the IMEI. They did, however, ask me to stop by Bestbuy first as they have a specialized technician there to see if that guy can help fix the issue. Since that guy couldn't help, they sent me the shipping label to send the device to them. In the end I didn't have to pay anything
