Lenovo P2 /persist partition is gone

Hello people!
Been here in XDA for very long time. But I have a Moto G (falcon). My friend has a Lenovo P2. So, I got him into rooting, flashing custom ROMs and stuff and I clearly gave him instructions of what not to do. But he clearly did something so stupid. Now lost /persist partition. The thing is the phone doesn't get network signal, had no IMEI (but fixed it, still no signal), no MAC address for bluetooth. I'd like to restore the device. Now, I can't flash the stock ROM with flash-all. Because it always ends up Do not allow flash on unlocked device. So, I try to lock the bootloader and it doesn't allow me to. If I turn off the toggle of OEM unlock on Developer options, it doesn't turn off. It says "Device locked, can't relock" I'm not sure what happened. From this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...ovo-p2-3-0-t3533659/post71909467#post71909467 I got a full TWRP backup and I tried to restore it. But always endsup saying "E:Unable to find file system (first period). E:Unknown restore method for '/persist'. From the info I got from Internet, /persist contains details about sensors and MAC address and stuffs. Help me get it back. So desperate to get this device back. He doesn't have another phone. I tried my level best. But not happening. Even if I try to create /persist partition (https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-re-create-persist-partition-in-Android) it doesn't work. I tried e2fsck then the makext4fs. Still doesn't restore. HELP!!! I'm not a beginner. So feel free to talk techy.
Help me out!
Have you tried locking the bootloader from fastboot first before toggling the switch in settings menu ?

After above process, try to Search in XDA for twrp backup for efs, modem.
XDA users has shared p2 twrp backups.
For imei, it's your efs backup does better Job that other alternatives..
In worst case of imei, you need to follow some process of writing them into.,

Doesn't work. Says Cant relock when I switch off the toggle. Or says forbidden when locking in fastboot command.

H815 bricked? No signal, no IMEI, EFS Backup doesn't work

Hello,
I have a big problem with my H815. I've installed H-ROM_V30-PORT-V2.1 but now I have no signal / no service and my IMEI is "unknown".
The steps i did before:
1. Unlocked the bootloader with this tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O64GfQORCaE&t=450s
2. Installed TWRP (twrp-3.2.0-0-g4.img)
3. Made a full backup with TWRP (efs, boot, system, cache, etc...) and copied the backup at my pc.
Then i wiped the phone.
4. Installed H-ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/rom-h-rom-v30-port-t3672567
So the system is working well and booting, but I have no signal and my IMEI is "unknown" in the android settings.
I thought this could be not a big problem, because I made a TWRP backup. So I copied the backup-files back from my PC to the phone.
At TWRP I can choose the backup but then nothing will happen.
The screen shows:
Running Recovery Commands
Updating partition details...
...done
Full SELinux support is present.
MTP Enabled.
Thats all. But TWRP does not restore anything.
Can you please help me??? I have no idea what I could do now :crying::crying:
I forgot a very importent step.
At the end I rooted the phone with SuperSU. And that's the step, when my IMEI got lost.
I used UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.
Is there a way to root the phone without loosing the imei???

How to fully decrypt G3 (d855)?

Hello
After rooting my G3, I installed an AOSP-based custom rom via TWRP. Then later on, encrypted the phone (& sdcard).
Recently, decided to install a LG stock-based rom (Clean Rom 2.8), but can't get passed a white screen asking for a password at first boot. This appears to be something to do with encryption? (From what I recall, there's no password to set when encrypting the phone). I factory-wiped, and wiped via advanced options of TWRP before installing this rom, so thought the phone has been decrypted.
After reading around, I tried flashing the latest LineageOS rom, and it worked fine. Notably, the phone indicates it's still encrypted! though the sdcard isn't as I can access it outside of the phone. I read about this problem with some ROMs not being able to boot past a password/white screen, but CM/LineageOS not having this issue.
Anyhow, how do I fully decrypt the LG phone? I've read various advice, but confused (especially about bootloaders).
Any help appreciated.
I dont own the device right now (in the future i wil) but i think i can help u whit that.... (it happened me with other phones)
The thing is if you have encription in the phone the only way to dencrypt the device is format the data partition through twrp THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR FILES LIKE PHOTOS AND MUSIC PLEASE DO A BACKUP BEFORE TRYING THIS
Boot to twrp, press the wipe button, in the wipe screen you will see a button that say "Format data" (in the top corner above the switch saying "swipe to factory reset") then twrp ask you to type yes, you do it and this will format the data partition erasing the files and the encription....
For the sd is the same but you can do it from a computer if you want or other way
I hope that this can help u

Help IMEI Need persist xt1710-09

Hello, I've buyed a Moto z2 play. I unlock the phone, I do a nandroid backup, then I flash Oreo 64 bit, then I reflash stock nougat. At this point, cause I'm an idiot, I make a format, so I loose my backup. I try to flash this and that but nothing. Fortunately I download a persist partition's backup (from another device) from the web and now my 2 IMEI are 0, i can't rewrite they with original IMEI I have (I think), I lost my serial number (?) and I lost my 4g (LTE).
I think it is because I've format a persist partition (perhaps) or other important partition.
I need help if anyone can rewrite a persist file with my original IMEI or if anyone can share this partition backup. I've a xt1710-09 (Italy).
Is it possible to relock bootloader and send phone to lenovo or I can brick the device?
Thanks

the folder is still in your system is recommended to find more about the subject, I managed to recover the imei of a moto.g4play do not lose the imei completely
you need a version of TWRP that is compatible with write twrp correctly and take a backup of your phone (this is achieved by formatting the persistent area and loading a stock software with the correct commands you have to verify your imei from fastboot, barcodes section , if it still appears, you can recover it
Thanks for your reply. When I came back home I try to restore the partition (or brick the phone)!
