H815 bricked? No signal, no IMEI, EFS Backup doesn't work - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a big problem with my H815. I've installed H-ROM_V30-PORT-V2.1 but now I have no signal / no service and my IMEI is "unknown".
The steps i did before:
1. Unlocked the bootloader with this tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O64GfQORCaE&t=450s
2. Installed TWRP (twrp-3.2.0-0-g4.img)
3. Made a full backup with TWRP (efs, boot, system, cache, etc...) and copied the backup at my pc.
Then i wiped the phone.
4. Installed H-ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/rom-h-rom-v30-port-t3672567
So the system is working well and booting, but I have no signal and my IMEI is "unknown" in the android settings.
I thought this could be not a big problem, because I made a TWRP backup. So I copied the backup-files back from my PC to the phone.
At TWRP I can choose the backup but then nothing will happen.
The screen shows:
Running Recovery Commands
Updating partition details...
...done
Full SELinux support is present.
MTP Enabled.
Thats all. But TWRP does not restore anything.
Can you please help me??? I have no idea what I could do now :crying::crying:

I forgot a very importent step.
At the end I rooted the phone with SuperSU. And that's the step, when my IMEI got lost.
I used UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.
Is there a way to root the phone without loosing the imei???

1. Tighten two volume buttons and the power button when you see a black screen and holding down the volume- and power button that would go to bootloader,in the bootloader,to select reboot. 2. Download, unzip the file and put on mikroSDcard. in TWRP reсоvery Wipe-advanced Wipe - note 5 crosses (mikroSDcard not necessary) Swipe to Wipe, then return to gl.menyu, Restore Storage, Internal Storage, TWRP backup, Swipe to Restore. http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-820/help/backup-twrp-6-0-1-marshmallow-europe-t3382496

Oneplus 3 can't boot into OxygenOS after deleting file

Hey,
I wanted to create an nandroid backup in TWRP and got error 255 in the process.
I got the log of the failed update:
cloud.directupload.net/dfZq
So i searched for a solution, and the internet said that i should remove the file wich causes backup to fail. The logs said it was '/system/app/AndroidPay'
This is a file, not a folder.
So i removed the file, keeping an backup of it, booted into TWRP and the backup still failed.
To my surprise the boot into OxygenOS fails now. It shows the Oneplus Powerd by Android logo, turns black and reboots into twrp. Recovery and Bootloader seems to work fine.
So I connected my device with my computer and tried to get the file back to '/system/app' using adb.
I tried 'adb push AndroidPay /system/app' and it seems to be transferred succesfully, however the boot into oxygenOS is still not working.
I think it can be fixed by formatting the device and flash OxygenOS new to it, but I really don't wanna do that.
General Information:
Oneplus 3
OxygenOS 3.3.4
Rooted
Xposed Installed
No custom kernal
TWRP 3.0.2-0
File wich may be broken: cloud.directupload.net/dfZs
Is there an easyer way than resetting my whole phone to get it to work ?
I'm sorry for language mistakes or maybe leaving relevant information.
Thank you for help
I've had same problem today, my solution is restore "System" part (only system) from old backup, it saved my data and OP3 works fine after that
Wipe system, then flash OOS and it should work fine. If it doesn't Im afraid you need to do a full clean install since it isn't system related then.

HTC 10 doesnt show up in Windows explorer apfter TWRP wipe

Hello guys,
I just installed TWRP onto my HTC 10. I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the recovery with TWRP. I backed up the default system and then wiped the Dalvik /ART Cache, the system partition, data partion and internal storage. As I now wanted to install LineageOS my device doesn't show up in the windows explorer. I tried rebooting the phone into recovery mode but it didn't work. So basically I can't accses my phone from my pc.
Can you give me some advice?

I booted into TWRP. I chose "wipe" and then selected "format data". The description of "format data" already says "will remove the encryption of your phone". So I formated my phone, insalled LineageOS and GApps and the system is running, no password needed.

So basically you wiped everything you could without knowing what you were actually wiping, and what wiping that stuff would actually do to your phone?
When you wipe the system partition you won't have an OS unless you flash a ROM directly after.
Place a ROM onto your extSD and put that into your phone. Boot to recovery and flash the ROM.
I'm aware of what a wipe does, but I wasn't prepared for this case. I flashed a couple Samsung Devices and after flashing them I still had access to the phone via my pc as long I was in recovery mode. But it seems to me, that I found the problem. The device is, as far as I know, encryped by default and a signal loss after wiping/flashing the device is common.

However, I managed to install LineageOS and GApps, and the system boots. But after the boot is completed I am facing a screen where I have to enter a password to unlock Android. And I dont know which password I have to enter.
Do you know how to continue?
Thanks for your help, I really apprechiate it.

Obviously you didn't exactly know, because if you did you would have known that wiping /system would leave you with no OS.
Not slagging you here. I did the exact same thing when I had just got my 2nd gen Nexus 7 and switched to TWRP from CWM for the first time.
For your password issue:
twrp > advanced > file manager > data > system ~ delete the locksettings.db files and reboot
Thank you for your reply!
Unfortunatley, the folder "data" doesn't contain any subfolder or file. Do you still know how to unlock my device?

Help IMEI Need persist xt1710-09

Hello, I've buyed a Moto z2 play. I unlock the phone, I do a nandroid backup, then I flash Oreo 64 bit, then I reflash stock nougat. At this point, cause I'm an idiot, I make a format, so I loose my backup. I try to flash this and that but nothing. Fortunately I download a persist partition's backup (from another device) from the web and now my 2 IMEI are 0, i can't rewrite they with original IMEI I have (I think), I lost my serial number (?) and I lost my 4g (LTE).
I think it is because I've format a persist partition (perhaps) or other important partition.
I need help if anyone can rewrite a persist file with my original IMEI or if anyone can share this partition backup. I've a xt1710-09 (Italy).
Is it possible to relock bootloader and send phone to lenovo or I can brick the device?
Thanks

the folder is still in your system is recommended to find more about the subject, I managed to recover the imei of a moto.g4play do not lose the imei completely
you need a version of TWRP that is compatible with write twrp correctly and take a backup of your phone (this is achieved by formatting the persistent area and loading a stock software with the correct commands you have to verify your imei from fastboot, barcodes section , if it still appears, you can recover it
Thanks for your reply. When I came back home I try to restore the partition (or brick the phone)!

Stuck at Verizon boot screen after TWRP restore

My VS986 was on latest MM build and I unlocked it using SALT UsU two months. The unlock was successful, then I installed TWRP and Magisk Root, and performed backup after verifying everything working.
Today I restored from backup using TWRP (selected default settings, which is everything). The restore completed successfully. But after the restore, the phone will stuck at the red Verizon boot screen and blue LED light blinks.
Is this so-called 'soft-brick'? How to fix the issue? (I can still enter recovery mode and the backup is the only thing I have. I can accept flash to factory build too but in my impression after UsU Unlock factory image can no longer be flashed?)
Thanks in advance!
Some update: the issue is solved now. Just post the details here in case it could help someone else.
After I just selected system and data partitions and restore, the phone was able to boot fine. However, a new issue came up: the phone doesn't recognize my PIN to unlock.
Then I booted into TWRP and used File Manager to delete the following files under /data/system
gatekeeper.password.key
gatekeeper.pattern.key
locksettings.db-wal
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db
After that, reboot the phone, it worked without issue.
