What is the best kernel for MIUI 1.8.12 rom?
Can anyone provide some suggestions?
The stock kernel is not giving me good enough bettery life. I used to get better battery life out of InsertCoin roms.
hey guys whats the best kernel should i install if you guys could tell me somesthing more about the kernel i would be glad im looking for a kernel that i may overclock, have good linpack results and for it to be stable thank you very much for help
AOSP or Sense?
Sense - there is only 1 or 2 ATM
For AOSP, Try RichardTrips kernel (gingervillain) and EVioletts's Manu Kernel
If you are asking for Sense Kernels, try snq's or gingercakes cfs kernels.
Hi, i was wondering if the Eternity custom kernel will work on stock and custom roms. The kernel seems to have various improvements to the CPU and GPU including 1.7GHz overclock. Found here: http://www.eternityproject.eu/topic/48-eternityproject-kernel-34-for-htc-one-x-endeavoru/
Also has anyone used a custom kernel and thought it was better than stock?
Cheers
It will only work on ICS ROMs but an update to JB compatibility is in progress.
Thanks for the answer, i will be happy to wait Looks a good kernel.
I recently tried this ROm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295554 and I'm really satisfied by the performance but the problem now is in battery life. I wondered if there was another kernel that I could flash and would give me better battery life. Can anyone help , please ?

actually, battery life really depends on your usage. afaik, 3.0.xx for battery life and 3.4.xx for performance. try the following:
cm stock kernels by @arsradu: use cm10.1 kernels only. either 3.0.xx or 3.4xx
cm9-cm10.2 stock kernels
3.4.xx
Stock kernel w/ additional features
Phenom Kernel
Madridii Kernel V1.8
HadiKernel
HurtSky's Kernel
3.0.xx/ 3.4xx
Deka Kernel
HurtSky's Kernel

Hi I am currently using a d855 running Cloudy 2.5 with CTT 75 mod.. Mostly using my phone for playing emulators of retro consoles.. Should I have gabriel kernel installed instead of the CTT mod or both ?. Basically looking for a setup or some tips that will give my retro emulation the best performance possible on the G3 without overheating the phone. Thanks for any suggestions.
Go for it
If you're on stock kernel then definitely give Gabriel kernel a try. I'm also on Cloudy 2.5 but without CTT Mod tho you can use Gabriel kernel with it. And there's also a flashable zip to fix bootloop (just in case) for those who have CTT Mod installed.
Performance were noticeably improved when I play GT Racing 2 unlike when I was still on stock kernel. I'm currently using 'Bumblebee' settings provided by horsetastic for Gabriel kernel. There's ton of settings so go check them out and see which one suits your needs:
