Hi I am currently using a d855 running Cloudy 2.5 with CTT 75 mod.. Mostly using my phone for playing emulators of retro consoles.. Should I have gabriel kernel installed instead of the CTT mod or both ?. Basically looking for a setup or some tips that will give my retro emulation the best performance possible on the G3 without overheating the phone. Thanks for any suggestions.
Go for it
If you're on stock kernel then definitely give Gabriel kernel a try. I'm also on Cloudy 2.5 but without CTT Mod tho you can use Gabriel kernel with it. And there's also a flashable zip to fix bootloop (just in case) for those who have CTT Mod installed.
Performance were noticeably improved when I play GT Racing 2 unlike when I was still on stock kernel. I'm currently using 'Bumblebee' settings provided by horsetastic for Gabriel kernel. There's ton of settings so go check them out and see which one suits your needs:

I am currently using RocketTab 3.1 ROM (Lite) with BlackHawk 2.1 JB kernel (with KK bootloader support). So far, my Tab is quite fast.
However, whenever I play 3D games like Temple Run 2, some lag spikes happen. I suspect that the custom kernel causes it.
Is there any modified stock JB kernel available? Thanks in advance.
hello, i tried blisspop and resurrection but even if are very speed, sometimes do errors, like in quick circle app i installed after and setting of menu status bar.... i ask what rom cmbased (and version) can i install for best stability but keeping this speed more than stock that eliminate lags!
thanks
If you setup your kernel correctly you should not have any lags
i thank you but i am not able to set kernel i need a complete guide, i look for a flashable zip.... thanks
Hi guys I'm currently running lollipop 5.0.1 and I'm looking for a really good/stable ROM for 6.0 I haven't been able to find one can someone help me out please. Thanks
I have used almost MM roms on this site. From Sense-based to CM, AOSP, etc. In my opinion, LeeDroid R52+ElementalX Repack 7.0.11 Kernel is the best combination What I like most is that this is the only ROM that gives you the ability to tweak your ROM using LeeDroid tweaker (ICE ROM Tweaker is based on LeeDroid tweaker), the Kernel can also be tweaked with EX Kernel Manager. I would recommend you to flash Smeejaytee booster v5 & HK/BS/JBL Audio mod v5.0.3 for best experience.
I've never flashed a kernel because I never understood what they do? Haha

Has anyone used apps like ex kernel manager to tweak the stock kernel for better performance?. Can you share your results please if its worth it to tweak the stock kernel to try and get more out of this beast please?
