It should install the recovery for you, boot into recovery and see if it updated.

Try using wugfresh's tool to update it to the latest.
Goo has given me problems in the past, took a few downloads before it would actually install.
I figured it out. Once I changed the too.I'm download path to legacy from "0" everything was fine.

I had the exact same problem where GooManager wouldn't update TWRP. What I did was to take the Nexus Toolkit for Mac and changed the script file and just replaced the .img file.

It worked like a champ but again this is a Mac solution. Also the Windows Nexus Root Toolkit will download and install 2.6.3..0 for you.

Easy way to install recovery with out computer?

So I have no computer but my note 3 is rooted. Is there a method to do to install my twrp/CWM on my phone sans computer.

Twrp manager from playstore or find the proper .img and use flashify.

[Question] Problem restoring backup

I backed up my nexus 5x with the latest version of TWRP on 6.0.1 rooted. It reboots when it tries to restore on the system image. Help please.

Is there a way to tell an apk where to install to. I know there is a way to do it using the terminal but i cant remember. Or if there is an app it would be easier
