Lately I've been really confused with people using 'baseband version'. Like Baseband 56/58/64, because I've been used to the 'build number' or 'FW' when I was using X10 and thought baseband was something about the radio signal. So when they say Baseband version here with Xperia Arc, do they really mean the Build number?
I have the exact same question.
in arc when you go to "about phone" you got..
Baseband number: (third from down)
Build number: (last one)
build number have some connection with baseband (build number comes with updates and baseband too..)
but you can use any baseband with any build number..
for me is best .42 build, .56 baseband..
