Random data issues on new phone - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

So I upgraded from my damaged 6x to a new 7x I purchased on Amazon. I've had the phone for 1 day now and am having strange issues with my 4G LTE not working, essentially timing out. It happens almost a third of the time while using data. The rest of the time I have no issues and am getting fast speeds. My MVNO is Simple Mobile on the $50 Unlimited plan.
I've checked my APN, taken the SIM In/Out even called 611 to which they could not find a problem. Do I need to return the phone or does anyone have some advice. Also have tried different locations to see if it was just a tower to no avail.

No 3G or H Signals

Hi Guys, Had my Desire a couple of days now, contract with TMobile, UK and so far not once have I ever been able to receive a full 3g or H connection. I have travelled a radius of five miles around my home, still no joy. Connects to wifi ok but can only receive g signal out and about, making data and internet painfully slow as to become unuseable. My phone is connected to mobile network in settings. I am seriously considering returning phone under 7 day policy if this persists. Any solutions would be much appreciated.
Other phones with other carriers in my area work ok and according to TMobile web coverage checker states I live in good reception area.
Cheers.
It's possible your sim is faulty happened to my mum when she got her diamond

Try a different handset when they get them instore, might be a device fault.
Check your coverage? Make sure phone settings are set to dual and not just GSM only. I get none at work or home whatsoever. But the coverage checker tells me this anyway.

Probably a stupid question but have you been on the T-Mobile website and put in your postcode to check the coverage in your area>?
Incase you haven't: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/coverage/street-check/
Hope that helps...
and obviously make sure you have 3g on your account?
I'm with orange, and was told i only had a 2g sim card. it took 3 different customer service people until one agreed to send a new 3g one. Not a problem since.
I had a very similar issue.
For the first 2 days i had my handset, it picked up no 3G or H data ATALL. Like you travelled around in about 5/6 mile radius and got nothing. I called up and cancelled, no one told me why or how it could happen, so i proceeded to cancel.
The next morning, i picked the handset up as i was going out, and to my surprise there it was sitting on 3G. Now the night before, i played with just about every setting under Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks, Network Mode/Network operators, always-on mobile connection, the lot. Took the sim out, rebooted the phone. messing with those options, or possibly turning them on or off for a specific amount of time may have affected my phone.
The same day i poped into a T-Mobile store where the woman told me hat it could have been down to the SIM not being fully activated, incase a postman stole it for whatever reason.. However, once i got back home i called T-Mobile up again, to cancel the cancelation, which was easy as pie. I told him what i was told in-store he looked up my account and said nothing should have changed as it should have been good to go from the 26th (i received it 29th). I had also noticed just before calling T-Mobile, that 150 from my mobile phone would not connect to T-Mobile, because of that the guy on the phone reset some stuff on ym account their end, told me to reboot my phone, and since then, i've had 3G/H flawlessly and 150 works without problem.
Maybe give them a call and they can help you. Or play with those settings like mad.
I should say ive had randon data drop outs and disconnections even in good signal areas not sure if its normal or my sim or phone
Hi Guys, Thanks for the input. Problem now solved, TMobile re sent connection settings down to my phone, now solid 3g or H around my area except indoors or close to my house. Now very happy, am now starting to love this phone.
Cheers

[Q] No data on LTE connection....

No LTE in my area of California here in Rancho Cucamonga so when im in Orange County I love to run speed test to test out the LTE speeds. Ive been doing this from back when I had my Note 1. The speeds in the Irvine area were up to 22mbps+ on the Note 1. Finally had the chance to take my Note 2 into a LTE area and was completely taken back by the fact that on my first test I maxed out at 11Mbps then had zero data never reaching 1Mbps all day. Did a battery pop, reset my data, also reset my APN's and still nothing over a MB. My wife's note2 on a different contract but still on ATT also had zero data not even able to pull simple web pages or even Google Play. Has anyone else experienced the same issue on their phone?

i had this problem when i first got my Note II, one minute i had data the next none at all, ended up going back to ATT and having them replace the phone and the sim. the guy at the store said it was probably a bad sim but since he was a friend he replaced everything for me. I suggest taking both and getting new sims to see if that fixes your problems if that doesnt work then new phones with the new sims
This sounds somewhat like issue i am having. I show some bars and 4g data but when i goto use the data it disconnects. I was thinking this was a problem of weak lte signal and not dropping down to 3g properly, now i think it could be worth a sim swap. The areas i have experienced no data are areas that worked fine on my iphone4.

Data issue

After many hours of reading and trouble shooting I'm ready to throw my note 3 out a window. I (like a dumb ass) purchased my note 3 from Craigslist. Three months to the day the device was blacklisted do to non payment. After arguing with the police and tmobile I decided to pay to have the imei remotely fixed. Now the phone works but will not automatically connect to 4g or lte. The guy that fixed the imei sweres up and down that his fix has never effected data in this way. If I force lte in the service mode it connects some of the time. Once it's connected if I get a phone call the data drops to G and will not go back to lte. I've checked apns, had metro pcs reset my account, tried different roms, kernels, and modems. If anyone has any advice I would be forever greatful.

LTE Connectivity issues

I have a note 4 from att running 6.0.1. Recently the Internet (mobile not WiFi) would start cutting out and completely losing service for no reason every 5 minutes or so. Very agitating if I'm trying to watch a video or do anything on the internet, really. Anyways, I am using Cricket Wireless, which is a subsidiary of ATT. I tried out an ATT sim card as well and the issue is still present. I factory reset my phone and it's still doing it. However, if I ender the developers code into the dialer and brought up mobile network information, I could set the phone to use GSM/CDMA only (no LTE) and the issue went away completely. But now, I have much slower speeds than if I were to be using LTE which kinda sucks. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

HELP PLEASE - S9 Drops Data Connection to Network How come

I bought my S9 last June and really like all things about it until recently.
IS THERE A SYSTEMIC ISSUE WITH THE S9 AND US CELLULAR AND DATA CONNECTIONS?
ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM?
Couple of months ago it started dropping data connectivity to the web. Would not load google maps or Waze. This started intermittently and then more frequently in the last few weeks. I am on the US Cellular network. My wife is on the same network with an iPhone and has no problem connecting. In fact, when we are travelling, I have to have her use google maps cause I cannot connect.
I have had the phone to several different stores and store technicians several times trying different settings on the phone and on the network plan. My phone is part of our business plan and we have unlimited data with about 20 phones on the plan.
The last tech told me there were two antennas in the phone, one for voice and one for data. Perhaps the data antenna was being wonky and maybe shorting out. I have no problem with voice connections, just the data access.
So I did a warranty exchange and received a new S9 replacement (Refurbished?) phone Tuesday. I loaded up my programs and noticed the same indicator (antenna symbol with ! next to it) and spotty 4G indicator. You guessed it, the Google Maps app will not connect; my wife's works fine. We took 300 mile road trip today and had to use her phone for directions.
I am beyond frustrated with the situation and do not know what to do next. I have not rooted the phone, it is stock. I have to have access to the web when I am mobile for my job.
How do I trouble shoot this problem?
Is this a known issue with US Cellular and the S9 or is my issue just an anomaly? What are my options?
I like the features and form factor of this phone and do not want to upgrade to an S10 or an iPhone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks to all.
