Instragram stories recording is muted - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

Hello, I retired my Oneplus 5, and bought a 5t with little time of use. What happens is that when I record videos for Instagram Stories is coming out mute and with a background hiss.
I thought it was a problem in Open beta 8 and I changed to stable 5.1.2 but the problem persisted. I did hard reset and wipe cache too unsuccessfully.
I spoke to the Oneplus support and they said that they would pass the case to the dev team, but I do not think it will work.
NOTE: Videos made in Stock camera and whatsapp status the sound goes normally.
Have I been presented with a defective device?
Sorry for my bad english,I'm using google translator

Quiet microphone in Snapchat

Hi there
When recording videos with Snapchat, the sound is way too quiet. When using other apps like voice recorder or the camera app, it works fine. I also recently replaced the battery cover
I suspect the issue is something regarding which microphone Snapchat uses. Maybe the the mic doesn't function properly without the noice cancellation mic, which Snapchat may not utilise etc.
Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?
heres some more info on the problem: snapchat only records audio with the top mic on this phone, which is probably supposed to be used for noise cancellation. this issue is not apparent in all non-sense roms, like cm10.2 and aosp based romps; the mouthpiece mic is used to record audio so the audio works fine. but then in custom roms the camera profile is different, so it is not possible to record 10 second videos in snapchat. it stop recording at about 6 seconds. heres more info on the 2nd issue: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-2343.
Thanks

Heey .. I've the same problem with my HTC ONE X ... this is what I dislike about Android in general, each phone has its own running kinda system, yet all android apps are the same in every device despite the differences.

Galaxy Note 3 audio popping issues when recording video\audio

Long time lurker here but this is my first thread. I've only read one other thread about this issue on here, but there were absolutely no replies, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
I've had Tmobile's Galaxy Note 3 since around the time it launched. Since day one, I've noticed that it has an annoying issue when recording video or audio alone. The audio will have horrible popping\crackling noises no matter how still the phone is held. This should obviously never happen with a high-end phone such as this. The issue is somewhat random, but it ALWAYS occurs and it seems to go away as the video recording app runs for a while. I always try to record a couple small clips first, then use it for the main video, but this is insanely annoying to do and isn't always practical (especially if you decide you want to record something very quickly out of the blue).
I'm actually still running JB 4.3, which is what the device shipped with at launch. I'm rooted and have everything set-up exactly how I want it. All my other apps work flawlessly, which is why I've been hesitant to upgrade (even though there are plenty of FW updates available, including Lollypop). I plan on flashing the stock version of Lollypop in the near future and then re-rooting the device. But this audio issue appears to be a hardware problem because it occurs regardless of the recording app I use. Has anyone found a way around this issue, or at least a workaround of some sort? I can't believe a phone this popular has such a horrible audio issue and none of the big reviews mentioned it at all. This leads me to believe not every device is affected, although a Google search does confirm I'm not alone.
I would appreciate any advice at all. Thanks.
So it appears I just have bad luck and got stuck with a faulty handset... This doesn't appear to be a widespread issue but I know some others have experienced it. I just wish there was some way around it. Guess I'll have to wait til I can upgrade to a different handset. I know one thing... I'm going to test the recording feature at the store before I drop my cash on it. This is the most ridiculous issue I've ever witnessed with such a high end smartphone. What good is it to record 4K video when you have terrible audio popping\crackling noises in the background?
I've had a Note 3 for Verizon for about 2 years and never had the issue, but recently got a Note 4 and it does have the audio popping in recorded video and when using the voice recorded.
Well I just finally flashed lollipop to my Note 3 (had still been on stock JB 4.3 since everything was working good for me rooted with the Xposed framework and all my favorite modules) and of course it didn't make a bit of difference. The audio popping is still there, confirming it's hardware related and only certain handsets are affected. Lollipop is nice but I'm bummed that the Xposed framework still doesn't support it with a stable version, which means tons of modules I loved using are no longer available to me.
Anyway I think I'm gonna save some scratch and upgrade to the Note 4. I mainly just want to upgrade to get rid of the audio popping during video recording because it is SEVERELY annoying and unacceptable on a flagship device. The pops are HORRIBLE. I like the Note 5 and all but I really want a removable battery, so I think trading in my Note 3 and getting a Note 4 is the best bet, but like I said before I'm actually gonna force Tmobile to let me test the video recording feature in the store just to make sure it doesn't have this issue. Actually, you can just use the audio recorder to check for it. it's present when you use ANY app that records via the mic's. Such a shame that I didn't notice this earlier so I could have exchanged my model for one without the issue.
Note 3, Android 5.0 - When recording any type of audio: the audio in a video clip, the voice recorder app, whatsapp voice message... all have a popping sound/click that occurs every 5 seconds. A fraction of the audio recording is "jumped over" and then continues fine for the next 5 seconds. This continues every 5 seconds throughout the whole recording.

Video recording doesn't work after LineageOS

Hello guys.
I have a Note 3 and installed LineageOS 14.1 a few days ago.
Yesterday I tried to record a video, but it doesn't work. Taking pics works fine. Using built-in came software, it makes 2 sounds and shows recording time as if it was working, but after recording there was no video on DCIM/Camera or any of its subfolders. As I said, taking pics works fine and they are saved there.
I tried a few recording apps and none worked, but neither of them showed UI sign of recording, different from built-in software. They start recording, the 2 sounds happen, and they show as if I had stopped recording. Open Camera is the only one to show a clue: same sound, same start-stop, and a message. "Unknown error, video halted".
Since the same issue happened to 4 or 5 apps, I believe it's the phone. My Note 3 has almost 4 years and I never saw that issue. I don't use to record video often at all, but the few times I did it worked fine. Previous OS was vanilla Samsung 4.2.2.
Any idea please?
Sorry I made a mistake. It wasn't LineageOS, it was RessurrectionRemix. I tested LineageOS but didn't keep it. How can I delete this thread?

Problem with multimedia. (Camera, Youtube, video recorder)

Hello everyone, I present a problem with an LG G3 D851 T-Mobile, the device works correctly. But the moment comes when the audio goes away, the camera does not work to record and does not play the Youtube videos. I've been looking in many forums and apparently no one has come up with a concrete answer. I await your prompt help.
PD: Making a factory reset, everything works again (about 1 or 2 days perfectly)
PD2: Sometimes with the change of battery is fixed, but after a while returns with the same fault.
PD3: Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Venezuela.

Annoying beep sound

Hi All,
This is my first Redmi (Xiaomi) with Miui11 update installed and my previous phone was an Android 4 device so i am not sure if my problem is connected with Android or Miui, but it is very irritating.
When i start a recording with a dashcam software (i tried opendashcam and Drive Recorder) the phone gives a very loud beep or even more a chime or jingle sound. Then as the program starts a new recording in every minute it gives the sound again. I tried everything i could to disable it but no success. I think this is some security feature to let me know the camera works in the background which is nice btw. but i would like to mute in this specific case. The standard camera software does not do this.
Have the same problem with road Guardians app from Google play
(sorry, as a new user not allowed to put link)
Spent hours on hours trying to remove the annoying beeps.
No matter what I try including turning off volume completely , put a plug in earphone port...
Can't get rid of this demon.
Xiaomi mi 9T pro
Pie /rooted with magisk
MIUI global 10.3.4
Any clue would be much appreciated
