yes! indeed that was the video.. since my v30 is already BL unlocked i skipped to the next step which is to flash us998->while on initial setup, shutdown phone and enter fastboot-flash v300k and 2 other zip files + magisk. after rebooting still no signal.

i tried already v300s as well but none of them worked, but let give me give another shot ..i'll finish the business once i get home. phew! its been 2 days since my phone was put on useless mode

Yes, my device is v300L. I did following the steps in the video. Firstly, I flashed v300K and it's no signal then I flashed v300S without error. No need to flashed these file if you don't install magisk.

I have pulled out the aboot.img and recovery.img files for the Wind Mobile and Videotron D801V11B version that does not have a working root (Chinese version is the only root available) or recovery out yet.
Devs can hopefully be able to use this to create a root and recovery for the non T-Mobile D801.

My guess is that since the Tmo version is the 801 and so is the wind there is a pretty good chance that you will be able to get root fairly easy. Maybe post over in the ioroot thread and link to the thread here so they can see these files.

Just used the Rogers twrp recovery and it works on the Wind Mobile variant. I successfully have installed Recovery on my phone. Got the twrp file from the link:

Yeah I believe it would be safe to flash those ROMs. Since it is the Canadian recovery that works, I am inclined to think that the D803 Roms might be more compatible than the T-mob D801 Roms. Just make sure you create a nandroid before you install any other Rom.

I'd make sure to remove the boot.img from any ROM zip you try to flash just to decrease the chances of boot-looping your device.

I can confirm that the Rogers TWRP works and you can flash it using Flashify if you're rooted. :laugh::laugh:

I don't want to wipe, I've got tons of apps and data on there. And I don't want to do a titanium backup and restore. It would be great if twrp allowed us to backup to ext_sd.
I can switch to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto in service menu.
But I still want the option back.

Hi, (a bit late, but I bought my D722 right in the last days of last year ^^ )
The zip archive contains a README.txt file, which gives instructions to unpack the tar.gz archive, get the android source code, then poor the sources into the android source code (merge) and then build the kernel. (I summarize very briefly). This looks to me like developer tools. What does one need the kernel for if not a dev? Isn't it already in the provided stock ROM anyway?
Anybody would like to give me a link to the kdz files for the new updates v10f and/or v10h?

Unfortunately, I need the kdz to be able to return to stock if I root the device.
Additionally, for rooting with magisk you need to patch the boot.img of your version. You can extract the boot.img from the kdz (I believe even if I never tried) or you can dump the boot.img from your device when you installed the firmware (but that is too difficult for me) .

Thanks but it is only 832 MB when the v10b is 3.3 GB.
Additionally when you try to extract the .dz file it gets stuck because does not find the right file to extract (I used WindowsLGFirmwareExtract.exe v 1.2.6.1).

Yes. You'll have to have an unlocked bootloader and use fastboot to flash the img to your active boot slot.

Fingers crossed. Really don't want to have to wipe my phone again... Ran into some issues with the other thread that was posted here, notably this:
Tapped "Hide Magisk" in Magisk settings
nothing happened so I tapped it again, nothing, queue rage taps because despite working in IT I'm still an idiot.
then closed out and went back in and magisk acted like it wasn't installed
Reboot and black screen after seeing the wallpaper for just a second.
Had to use the stock 10.0.3 ROM posted here to get back to working. Hopefully I'll be able to restore to that... if not I guess I can use my pixel 2 til a 10.0.4 version comes along...

like thread says. I need the last EU 20e zip pack to update my g7. obviously with root and so on.

the firmware works but i still havent tried to root because i'm not sure if use the official unlock bl method or not and no one answers me
