I tried the patch but I can't get the .dll file to work properly. On other device I couldnt even copy the existing Home.dll file needed. I am doing a US city so I am using this format for the xml file. If anyone can please help me that would be great been spending 5 hours on it. Thank You In Advance

try using htc home customizer, google for it, it should be result #1

if you have igo primo in samsung s2 and google search isnt runing l solved problem
please make a backup android.ini from igo/data.zip/config/devices/android.ini ,and please down our android.ini from https://rapidshare.com/files/2934567154/android.ini;
and paste in igo/data.zip/config/devices and give permission for change and thats all,if there is anywrong please past our bacup android.ini in igo/data.zip/config/devices

On the side note, I've compared your android.ini and mine, and found an error in yours. You have both:

It doesn't make any errors but I just thought I'd give you a heads up

PS. Anyway to remove "Reading IMEI..." message at startup? It stays like that for like 5s and only then it starts loading iGO...

Hi,
the idea is great, but i don't have a data zip folder in my Igo folder, only data.gro.
Could you please point me to how exactly install this?

You can open whatsapp through fastlane history. Or it is best advised that you install Whatsapp+, which works just fine.

Improvise Solution for Your whatsapp on the Error
On your menu Long click your whatsapp, Its will bring out the editing mode....Look down you will see two symbols the first by the Down left is if you want to add a folder while the 2nd Down right is Add widget..Click the add widget, You will see different app. such as Bbm, whatsapp, clock et all...go to the whatsapp and add it...Go back to your Menu..You will see a new whatsapp background on ur Menu..Now you are done if u want to open ur whatsapp....Click on the Word whatsapp...Den its will open it successfully without bringing dat error

if you root your device. you can change build.prop to use whatsapp.
use any root file manager like 'root explorer' then go to system/ and open build.prop and text edit
change ro.build, ro.manufactor, ro.device , to another famous device.
i change it to nexus 4

Open and edit "build.prop" located in "/system" (root needed)
Change Nokia in "ro.product.manufacturer=Nokia” and put another manufacturer i.e. Sony
Save changes and restart.

same with me whatsapp not supported

erf when i try to save the new file, it says i can't save it. Any ideas?

go to contacts choose the person whom u want to msg click on msg it prompts for messaging or whatsapp select whatsapp then it will not prompt that ur device doesn't support whats app once u do this u can open whatsapp through the fastlane

Can some charitable person please tell an ignorant where on earth can that whatsapp+ (or whatsapp plus, or whatever) be found?

That's because Whatsapp won't allow Whatsapp+ to register on Google Play.
So, to get Whatsapp+, goto it's official website. Here is the link: http://www.whatsapp-plus.net/download.php

I tried ur method... replaced Nokia with Sony and then restarted..... on switching on nokia screen flashes and then after sometime blank screen comes and thats it... it doesnt show anything else after that.....

The method is perfect. But don't use Sony. Type in Baidu instead of Nokia.

i have few questions for u...
1. so you mean to say that if i Replace Baidu (and not sony) in place of Nokia, my phone wont get softbricked?????
2. do i have to replace Nokia with Baidu in every line of "build.prop" or just the one on "ro.product.manufacturer=Nokia” ????
3. just to be on the safe side, can i go into nokia recovery and backup my system folder (so that if my phone gets softbricked i can restore it)?? if yes then how can i do that???

last time i did this i soft bricked my phone..... was it because of the name sony or change in the file permission of "build.prop"????
because i copied the file into my sdcard first and then edited it.... after that i copied it to the system folder....

probably permission or you mistakenly changed other values, you can copy my build.prop to confirm that its working

I'm not on here as much as before. But I thought there was directions for this on the Norma thread. Go check it out, and try to search for it. I remember seeing some kind of directions. Because the op creator was limited on time and provided directions for others to accomplish. I'm not sure how detailed it was though.
Or this might get you by. The advanced power menu is in the services.jar file. Here's the guide for adding it normally. So maybe use this, but look for the Chinese text to replace.

(ls -al /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name = command for list partitions by-name)
first do a test with "dd if=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo of=/mnt/media_rw/ABCD-1234/dd-backup/HuP20L432-oeminfo.img"
!!! change "ABCD-1234" to the name from YOUR sd-card, "HuP20L432-oeminfo.img" to xxxYYYxxx wher "YYY" is your country-code !!!
if this command do a copy from your oeminfo to your sd-card YOU have a backup from your oeminfo !
download my "HuP20L432-oeminfo.img" from http://www.mediafire.com/?1vyp1bywmxz1n
look on howto "dd" if= infile of=outfile
my build = ANE-LX1 8.0.0.112(C432)
my copy with "dd if=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo of=/mnt/media_rw/ABCD-1234/dd-backup/HuP20L432-oeminfo.img" from my phone
first of all do with your phone : look for download your build, download and you have a chance you do make revers to pre-state from your phone
this is the secure-way. and believe me : if your phone brick and you cry "help" and you not have backup "you have many more work" to unbrick !
if you change your oeminfo with this way to C432 and it's work : congratulation
then write here "your old-build" and "change to oeminfo432 work"
and other question is : what is in future with OTA-Updates ? work ? i dont know !
