You can open whatsapp through fastlane history. Or it is best advised that you install Whatsapp+, which works just fine.

Improvise Solution for Your whatsapp on the Error
On your menu Long click your whatsapp, Its will bring out the editing mode....Look down you will see two symbols the first by the Down left is if you want to add a folder while the 2nd Down right is Add widget..Click the add widget, You will see different app. such as Bbm, whatsapp, clock et all...go to the whatsapp and add it...Go back to your Menu..You will see a new whatsapp background on ur Menu..Now you are done if u want to open ur whatsapp....Click on the Word whatsapp...Den its will open it successfully without bringing dat error

if you root your device. you can change build.prop to use whatsapp.
use any root file manager like 'root explorer' then go to system/ and open build.prop and text edit
change ro.build, ro.manufactor, ro.device , to another famous device.
i change it to nexus 4
Open and edit "build.prop" located in "/system" (root needed)
Change Nokia in "ro.product.manufacturer=Nokia” and put another manufacturer i.e. Sony
Save changes and restart.
same with me whatsapp not supported

go to contacts choose the person whom u want to msg click on msg it prompts for messaging or whatsapp select whatsapp then it will not prompt that ur device doesn't support whats app once u do this u can open whatsapp through the fastlane

Everyone here and in any thread regarding the whatsapp problen with Nokia X is talking about whatsapp+ as a solution for this issue, but I can't for the life of me find anything resembling "Whatsapp+" nor "Whatsapp plus" in the play market. Can some charitable person please tell an ignorant where on earth can that whatsapp+ (or whatsapp plus, or whatever) be found?

That's because Whatsapp won't allow Whatsapp+ to register on Google Play.
So, to get Whatsapp+, goto it's official website. Here is the link: http://www.whatsapp-plus.net/download.php

I tried ur method... replaced Nokia with Sony and then restarted..... on switching on nokia screen flashes and then after sometime blank screen comes and thats it... it doesnt show anything else after that.....

The method is perfect. But don't use Sony. Type in Baidu instead of Nokia.

i have few questions for u...
1. so you mean to say that if i Replace Baidu (and not sony) in place of Nokia, my phone wont get softbricked?????
2. do i have to replace Nokia with Baidu in every line of "build.prop" or just the one on "ro.product.manufacturer=Nokia” ????
3. just to be on the safe side, can i go into nokia recovery and backup my system folder (so that if my phone gets softbricked i can restore it)?? if yes then how can i do that???

last time i did this i soft bricked my phone..... was it because of the name sony or change in the file permission of "build.prop"????
because i copied the file into my sdcard first and then edited it.... after that i copied it to the system folder....

probably permission or you mistakenly changed other values, you can copy my build.prop to confirm that its working

I noticed when trying to open a file with for instance pqview, I can only see the my documents directory. I know there´s a fix for this somewhere on this forum, I only have not be able to find it with the search feature...

update ur signature. tell us ur phone version ur rom ur radio and the details of who cooked the rom.
second more details on ur question such as the app u were using to open with.
i dont have this problem. the apps always show two three or four options as to base location to choose from.
either my device. storage card. network. or extended rom if unhidden.
these r usually located at the top left as a drop down.
u may have lost ur sd card... if indeed that is where ur looking.
in the end dude... urnt a noob with that many posts either that or u have been flamed some.
first signature. then lots more details. we r not mind readers n dont have time to bugger around with people who ask such half baked questions with inadequate details to give u an answer.

I have not lost my SD card. It is accesible through file explorer

I don't find the build in app easy. To zoom for instance, one must go to options, zoom. I like to see thumbnails as well.

The attached picture is printscreen of the instructional flash presentation there which tells how to open a different directory. In short to open a directory other than My documents there is a way: In Pqview tap file>>Open Image>>you see open file screen which offers my documents folder for browsing, if you tap the screen directly above left top edge of this box you will get dropdown box in which you can choose to browse : your device (which means you can browse further for whatever file you have on your phone) or My documents. See attached screenshot. It does not show the caption of the current folder for me but you can clearly see where to tap if you want to open a file wrom within PQView. I managed to open some pictures so you should be able to do so too.

in the SMS application there is a delete icon, when I pressed it my WAVE restarted.
I think it is in String file too. but which one?

We have no idea if you have bada 1 or 2...
Also you could check how big your DB2 folder is...
Maybe Database is now too big... or failure...

it is bada 2 and it is custom firmware.
im sure the problem came from string files. but I dont know which one.

The fix is easy
Know original CSC....get strings of that CSC
Compare Strings from original CSC with Modded ones
Find the bug and fix it
Place back new strings files via CSC flashing
Done !

I got the same problem with Turko v6 for S8530.
One other strange thing is that I can't delete my e-mail "basket". But no restart.
I will investigate a bit and send something if I find something.
I set debug level to high and I succeeded in deleting the "e-mail basket".
I got blue screen when trying to deleting messages
Seven. I took photos of them as much as I could as I was obliged to go 2 pages by 2.
By the way how to upload the content ? I found that I must press Home button during blue screen but which program should I use after entiring in upload mode ?

you just have to install android skin .cab with the cab sender utility, the .dll and the others archive are for develop purpose i think

When I a enter to any contact of my address book i can't copy a phone number or any details of this contact to paste in other application like whatsapp.
Also the same with the original rom.
Is possible to modify this ?
