It is a known issue. Probably the only bug in that build. It is fixed in Beta builds.

Does anyone have the ****test performance on snapchat aswell? I start the app littery hangs for 6 seconde swiping left and right takes almost 3 seconds and making photos is impossible.. Im on OxygenOS 3.2.5 with ElementalX kernal
The only snapchat version for me that isnt horrible is 9.31.1.0, before the whole UI changes. But any other rom runs snapchat just fine (paranoid, CM, remix etc) its just oxygen which is a problem
Any idea on how to fix a snapchat issue? It happened after updating to 3.2.4 on oxygen os and changing dpi to 420.. didnt happen at all at oos 3.2.2.. now my snap captions are extremely small and cant be read... It happened just on photos

Thanks!

Any suggestion on how to upgrade from 3.2.6 to a stable cm-based rom? Which rom is the most stable currently?
Thank you
Anybody got the working GCam Mod for Miui based on nougat/Oreo?? If yes please share the link or the file name..
Actually today I installed the arnova v1.5 on miui based on nougat.. it worked for just first time.. after that it was crashing.. I was only able to take one pic! GCam has more details & lights compare to the stock cam.. but also there is some noise in low light condition..

Hello Guys,
Yesterday I got my bootloader unlocked and after that, jnstalled the Pixel Experience. But, I found no gcam version working properly.
Reading here and miui forum, I realized that in some ROMs it is working like a charm (RR, for example).
So, im asking you guys, to comment here, which ROM are you using, and if it is working 100%.
Here:
ROM: Havoc OS.
Gcam: No HDR+ on front, black screen everytime.
Thank you all.

Doesnt matter which rom, indian RN5 works good with gcam, global/china RN5 doesnt have fully working gcam.
I'm using
- pixel experience 9.0 // August build
- Arnova's v8.1: GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.1.apk (Arnova8G2, 2018-07-22)
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-arnova8G2/#apk391
Magisk modules
- HAL3 enabler - camera2 API support (if you have PE extended you don't need this one)
- RN5 camera patch module
(@rn5cpm , telegram group where you can find the link for miui and pie and support the dev)
Optional
- OP3/3T front camera fix - Oreo
( It is the only module that allows me to use hdr+ and portrait mode with the front camera, without any bugs)
With this build everything works fine without (almost) any crash, even the 240fps slow motion.
Stock xiaomi camera works too, sometimes it crashes, but with the Google cam I don't think you'll need to use it again.
Edit - update
Sometimes when I take a picture with the front facing camera in hdr+ it might be all black, but if I take a picture with the back camera and then switch to the front one it works again. I know it's a little bit tricky and I still don't completely understand why it happens , but it works in this way and it's not a big issue to me.
Someone is facing focus problems un Gcam after Update to Android pie? i cant solve this, using hass32 versión 5 of the cam, any better camera working perfect in PIE? Thx

What OTA version do you have guys?
I was facing that problem when I was have 10.0.01
But it fixed in 10.0.02
I recommend to you guys should flash V9.6.11.0.ODLMIFF and update to pie from settings.
After updating to pie hard reset could be good.
Sorry for my bad english

I think I'm in 10.0.4 but have the same problem. Could somebody find a solution? I tried by hard resetting and installing gcam again (with root), but still have this issue. :'(

Fix focus by switching to video mode the back to photo
I get this since updating to pie including the January update in any camera app that uses the camera 2 api - seems to be unable to focus, I find in gcam switching to video mode let it focus then switch back to photo mode sorts out the focus for a while, when it goes blurry I switch to video then back again and it works again, annoying but able to take lots of pictures using gcam perfectly fine apart from this.
In another note I find only some of the gcam ports even start up correctly, so still trying lots out.
yes seems to work "a bit" but you are not really sure anymore whether it's properly in focus now... sometimes it's just slightly not in focus, sometimes looks properly in focus... night mode became very hard to use now
Hello guys. I'm on stock rom on Pie with January update. I also have the same focus problem. But I just noticed that the focus works perfectly in short video mode.
You can use the 16:9 on photo mode, this fixed the focus issues on Pie for me.

I'm alway in 16:9 and for me it doesn't work. I've to say that it does it when the light is low but before it wasn't behaving like this... the only way working for me is to switch to video mode to focus and than back to camere and take quickly the pic... really you didn't notice this issue in low light? Which camere are you using? Thanks
16:9 does work much better. But is there any chance getting it work with 4:3? Why is the focus so bad there?
I solved this problm. If ur rooted simply install pixelarity module it will change ur device specifications and build no. This will fix all ur gcam problm... Thxx me later

Hi Guys!
I just realized that the Camera version installed on my F3 running MIUI 13.0.8 seems to be older than what can be found on other APK websites, could you please confirm your current camera Version?
Mine is 4.3.003960.5
Thanks!!

I *think* we are not supposed to manually update the MIUI Camera ourselves, but rather I think we should let the ROM handle it.
It works, but one time I updated to a MIUI Camera version and it had a Leica-Theme (White/Red UI Theme). That specific version was probably meant for that one Xiaomi phone with Leica-branded camera.
Also another time I noticed that a MIUI Camera update I installed, had Quick Snapshot Mode removed. The feature where you could press Volume-Down for ~4 seconds while screen is off, to take a picture.
But yes, I think we by default run older MIUI Camera version.
To be honest tho, I think you can just go ahead and update it, if you want. ^^
