Does anyone have the ****test performance on snapchat aswell? I start the app littery hangs for 6 seconde swiping left and right takes almost 3 seconds and making photos is impossible.. Im on OxygenOS 3.2.5 with ElementalX kernal
The only snapchat version for me that isnt horrible is 9.31.1.0, before the whole UI changes. But any other rom runs snapchat just fine (paranoid, CM, remix etc) its just oxygen which is a problem
Any idea on how to fix a snapchat issue? It happened after updating to 3.2.4 on oxygen os and changing dpi to 420.. didnt happen at all at oos 3.2.2.. now my snap captions are extremely small and cant be read... It happened just on photos

Snapchat is still lagging as hell and microphone quality is just awfull. Running Stock Oxygen 3.2.6.
Does a custom rom fixes the problems?
Thanks!

Any suggestion on how to upgrade from 3.2.6 to a stable cm-based rom? Which rom is the most stable currently?
Thank you

So Guys I'm New to XDA but I've been researching a lot on Android development and recently got a new OnePlus 3. So today I updated my OP3 to OxygenOS 3.5.0 and I flashed the ElementalX kernel 0.14 that comes with the FreedomOS 1.4.1 that I had been using. But an unusual issue popped up. The WiFi no longer works. This issue is also present in the FreedomOS 1.5-CE with its built in ElementalX kernel. So if you plan on upgrading to OOS 3.5 or FreedomOS 1.5-CE, keep in mind not to use the ElementalX kernel for now. I'll keep you updated if this is solved and If you happen to find a solution before me Post it ASAP.
ElementalX kernels are really good and I wish a new kernel is released soon that fixes this Bug.:fingers-crossed:

I'm using the FreedomOS 1.5-CE with Stock kernel for now. I like the Viper4Android very much and I couldn't get it to work on any other ROM properly. I'll keep updating if I encounter any new Bugs.
I created this zip because I hate the hassle of flashing multiple zips and/or manually copy some files to /system every time I flash a custom ROM just to get some OOS stuffs, and I thought I could share the zip here.
This zip supposed to install OxygenOS 3.1.4 apps and files, which is limited to only 4 at the time of this writing, that is: OOS Camera (and libs), Gallery, MM Bootanimation, and Sounds.
(I know, no OOS launcher or Shelf, and I can't get the music app to work either) (yet) (hopefully).
Here's the file: Download
It should work on Marshmallow and Nougat ROMs, but it's tested on CM13, LineageOS 14.1, Nougat SlimROM, and AOSP-based Nougat ROM.
Known issues for the camera app:
Beauty mode (front camera) and panorama doesn't work. If you trigger Beauty mode, you won't be able to open the front camera (it'd keep crashing). Clear app data to fix.
Manual doesn't work on some but should works on ROMs with stock camera blobs.
I can confirm that its working on AOSP based Nougat ROM(Cosmic OS).

Hi, thanks for that. IMO users wants OOS camera.
Where are the libs from? OOS 3.1.4 ?
Different from what @CheckYourScreen did here?
I've seen that even today Sultan's improved again his CM13 with camera HAL.
I'd be really interessed in digging in it to see what can be used here.
What do you think about that?
Edit : Just saw that...
Thanks!, Getting the oos launcher would be interesting, if possible.

Not really sure of that as even in the official version Shelf was not really rock solid, but the idea is quite interesting....
It would be Google Experience Launcher + shelf.
I've read that Action Launcher have some kind of swipe action with a Widget panel, which is close to what OP launcher gives us...
Music apk file download from internet works well on lineage based roms

Seriously?
Sultan's version is the best option for camera app. It's better than OOS.
Are you on 12th feb version?
@fchrkbr and cool for Nougat Slimroms, I hadn't seen they had pushed beta builds this month. I thought they had give up end 2016...
Will test it !
i miss the slowmotion feature of oos... and i think that oos camera is best in low light conditions... but my version of sultan rom is from august i think, probably now the camera has improved...

NB : If, you update, you have to update bootloader first !!
Low light conditions? For photo you mean? Because for video, it's really the opposite.
thats the bootloader thing that makes me avoid update the rom, im tired of having problems while flashing new roms etc
yes, for photos, i usually dont make videos

Only camera app (and libs)
Hey, thanks! Is there any way to tweak your zip to have it install only the camera app (and required libs)?
screen flickering or glitches on custom Roms like OMNI,PIXEL, Resurrection remix etc have same issue.... any solution?

You can have any ROM so long as you have the matching firmware. Check in the ROM's thread.

Unless it says Unified or 3/3T, they are different and flashing the wrong one can brick your phone.
Still not solving
I am still having issues. My nav bar gets a mirror effect on the uperside of the screen
I have a Oneplus A3000
Hello i have the same issue have you got any solution ?
I replaced my crack screen last month and last night I tried flashing AOSIP rom (From latest Open Beta) and got screen flickering and glitches to the point it was unusable. Wiped my phone clean again and tried RR rom and got the same flickering and glitches. Now I'm back to latest Open Beta. I wonder wether my new screen is the problem that caused me unbale to flash aosp roms? Because before my screen cracked I tried almost every rom and it's fine. Any idea guys?
I have the same problem, and I do too had my screen replaced, but some folks on OnePlus forum said that never replaced the screen
I tried many diferent versions of the firmware, and nice looking none fix for me
I have the same problem too, I've tried many kernels and many ROMs, it seems that only Sultanxda's ROM and Official ROM can be used. I've tried to compile MoKee with Sultanxda's Kernel source, it worked perfectly too. So I think that there maybe something kernel related is broken, and only Sultanxda fixed that. Maybe you could try it.
Thanks for reply . Los 14.1 and miui 9 are also ok
I've the same issue, and I think for the same cause because I replaced my cracked screen also, maybe OnePlus 3 have something like knox on samsgung where it'll be broken when rooted, Waiting to see if there's some kind of a solution because if the OOS (or OOS Beta) works fine it could be a kernel or firmware issue.
So it looks like the problem is with the replacement screen. Funny, because this is the 2nd time I replaced the screen (dont ask) but I didn't have flickering problem with the first one. Hopefully any talented devs can figure out the issue and resolves it, will gladly help however I can.
The change was merged:

I've just installed it and still the same issue (The 2018-03-05 version)
N.B :
You can activate "Show surface updates" from the Developer Options Menu and the screen will not have those glitches anymore, because I realized that the glitches will go away whenever you update the screen.

Well, by "next" I mean builds from 20180309 onwards.
Tried the 12-03 release, it does fix the screen errors, touch stop working if the screen is turned off, I need to reboot to it work again
Are the available oreo based rom better than the viper os 3.1.1 based on 7.1.2 wrt to battery life, performance and heating?

Yes you can enable camera 3 api on Viper. I have used Viper for a long time, it is really good I thing that it has been the longest time with out changing the rom. But the last 2 versions of AEX are realy realy good, i cant say better but realy close.I currently use aex, because I like tu have the latest software, even if I don't use the new features. Aex had some very big issues with performance, but they are fixed now.

Lineage OS 15.1 - https://yadi.sk/d/iwIuMA1J3TERxS

Try nitrogen OS.. as smooth if not more than viper.. march security patches.. looks wise as well just like viper.. very good rom.. negligible heating.. dev is same as well for both jneto3000 .. i did not stay as i have weak network in my area and custom roms already suffer from weaker signal as compared to stock plus no video call in volte.. so had to go back to stock but definitely a good rom
Did anyone try BootleggersROM 2.1-STABLE ? Is it smooth and battery friendly like ViperOS 7.1.2 ?

Hey the best rom is noughat
Mi & 1+ are most stable & no bugs
If any bugs are there the maintainers can mix the rom.
For me the rom i awesome & perfect for me
Please help. I've tried various Pie ROM like MSMX, PE, Nitrogen, and Havoc based on Pie, and on all of that whenever I make a video call via Whatsapp it's lagging. I've tried restored it with TB and clean install from Play Store and there's no difference. Other similar apps like Duo and Line works fine, and Whatsapp works fine as well on Oreo ROM. Anyone knows why and how to fix this?

On NOS which I had earlier and on SkyDragon now (both Pie), I had/have no issues with Whatsapp. It must be your device/setup.
The latest Havoc OS release supposedly fixed this. Give it a clean flash, it's a solid ROM.
