[Q] Phone seems to be heating even on idle

Hey guys there seems to be some sort of a problem with my phone now.
It has never happened before.
I realised that my phone was pretty hot last night, even on idle! It's as if it's running a Tegra game or something. And the battery goes down at a rate of about 50% in 3 hours.
I checked the task manager and couldn't find anything that is fishy.
What else can I do?
Thanks in advance

Took this screen shots after I charged the phone to full, lock its screen, and went to bed. Got up 3 hours later and saw those

Anyone had any idea what seems to be the problem?
Thanks

[RESOLVED] Faulty Temperature Sensor

UPDATE: I decided to throw the battery into the freezer (in a plastic bag) for 15 minutes and it works now... shows the correct temperature and doesn't say overheat anymore.
Hello everyone, my old G2 has a faulty battery temperature sensor. When I check the battery's temperature in an app, it says that the battery is overheating, when it's not even warm to the touch. Because of overheat protection, my G2 refuses to charge... So does anyone know where the battery temperature sensor is? Is it in the battery itself or in the phone? If it's in the phone, where is it specifically located? Thanks everyone...
Edit: It's not the USB port that's faulty because the charging LED on the G2 still lights up and it's not the USB cable either because I tried two different cables.
I attached some screenshots of the battery's information

[Q] Epic 4G Charging Problems. Please help!

Hello all,
Today, I decided to take my EG4T in for repairs, as I believed the charging port was defective. After the Charging port was replaced, I attempted to charge it. When I did, I got was a faint blue light on the indicator. The screen flashed on and displayed the charging battery thing, but it flashed off just as quickly. (This occurred before I got the charging port replaced.) I tried different outlets and I am going to try different chargers later, but I want to know if this is the cause of a dead/bad battery.
If this helps, My computer reacts when I connect the phone to it, but disconnects when the screen turns off.
It also got very hot prior to the point of not charging at all.
Thanks in advance,
Arius.
It could be a bad battery, but it sounds like what happened when one of my battery connection pins was pushed in too far, used a paper clip to pull it back out and no problems since.

If it doesn't do anything on the charger, it's probably fried. If it's been less than a year (send it to Samsung) since you bought the phone or are under warranty I would go that route. If not, I don't know what to tell you... You're not the first lesson to report this happening... I would send an email to Samsung at the very least, maybe they can help you bring it back to life or help you with replacing it.

Can an old Samsung Wireless Charge cause damage to the screen?

Part of the touchscreen is now unresponsive.
The last thing that I did before it broke was charge it on my Samsung Wireless Charger.
- didn't drop the phone
- no physical damage on screen
- no recent OS software update
- screen was still working this morning -> charged on wireless charger -> suddenly became unresponsive
- tried safe mode and turning it off and on already. Will try to Factory Reset after backing up
Anyone with similar experience? Searching online points to a damaged digitizer, which requires a screen replacement.
I don't think the charger is the culprit for the unresponsiveness, I have charged all my notes up the 10+with some really old charging pads, one is an old generic one that I bought for a a note 3 back in the days!
