Hello all,
Today, I decided to take my EG4T in for repairs, as I believed the charging port was defective. After the Charging port was replaced, I attempted to charge it. When I did, I got was a faint blue light on the indicator. The screen flashed on and displayed the charging battery thing, but it flashed off just as quickly. (This occurred before I got the charging port replaced.) I tried different outlets and I am going to try different chargers later, but I want to know if this is the cause of a dead/bad battery.
If this helps, My computer reacts when I connect the phone to it, but disconnects when the screen turns off.
It also got very hot prior to the point of not charging at all.
Thanks in advance,
Arius.
It could be a bad battery, but it sounds like what happened when one of my battery connection pins was pushed in too far, used a paper clip to pull it back out and no problems since.

If it doesn't do anything on the charger, it's probably fried. If it's been less than a year (send it to Samsung) since you bought the phone or are under warranty I would go that route. If not, I don't know what to tell you... You're not the first lesson to report this happening... I would send an email to Samsung at the very least, maybe they can help you bring it back to life or help you with replacing it.

Hello, I recently replaced Asus Zenfone 2 551ML screen myself. I thinks I did the job well, because after assembled the phone LCD worked, as it showed battery was low. I left the phone to charge for couple hours. 4-5 hours maybe, but I noticed that the LED was not on and when I tried to turn it nothing happened. No light from LCD or LED. It vibrates every 30ish second and shows MOOREFIELD unrecognized device when I connect it to PC. I took it apart again and reconected Battery again but nothing changed. I'm not sure if it's possible to hard brick phone by changing the LCD. I'm not sure how to fix it now. If you could help me or tell me what's wrong with it I could probably fix it. Any kind of help is welcome. Thanks

Any help???
This problem Is generated by the charging port most of times, You may try another USB c cable to.
Hi all,
Recently picked up a Samsung Tab 3 with a smashed screen and broken charging port. Replaced the charging port now and hooked it up to power supply. Had no life, plugged it into PC so i could hear the chime when it does turn on and it connected straight away so there is power there.
When looking at the back just now, I have the gold ribbon from the screen on the left, new black ribbon from charging port and that's all. Looking online and the back of the tablet, it looks as though there should be a third ribbon on the other side? Is this right? If so, what is that ribbon for and where could i pick one up.
If it should power on without it, will a cracked screen matter? I have not received the new screen yet but the digitizer is in good shape, ,cracked screen plugged in. Will the cracked screen matter or should i still see some life on there?

Part of the touchscreen is now unresponsive.
The last thing that I did before it broke was charge it on my Samsung Wireless Charger.
- didn't drop the phone
- no physical damage on screen
- no recent OS software update
- screen was still working this morning -> charged on wireless charger -> suddenly became unresponsive
- tried safe mode and turning it off and on already. Will try to Factory Reset after backing up
Anyone with similar experience? Searching online points to a damaged digitizer, which requires a screen replacement.
I don't think the charger is the culprit for the unresponsiveness, I have charged all my notes up the 10+with some really old charging pads, one is an old generic one that I bought for a a note 3 back in the days!
