To flash a kernel do I have to dirty flash my rom before flashing a kernel? Or can I just flash?
Just flash the cust kernel as normal in TWRP.
If you're rooted and want to keep root, you'll have to flash Magisk again AFTER you flash the cust kernel.

No. You can only flash a ROM thorough CWM. Kernel is a different matter.

So i have been thinking of flashing A.I.C.P (6.0.1) rom on my zenny... Currently i am running Echoe rom and AEL kernel with recovery as twrp 2.8.7.3 (Lollipop based)... I was reading the A.I.C.P thread in which it states just to flash the rom & the gapps... but before flashing i wanted to ask if i can flash the rom using my current recovery (TWRP 2.8.7.3 (LP based) or do i need to flash the marshmallow based (TWRP 2.8.7.7) recovery first and then flash the A.I.C.P rom? Please guide me in flashing this rom with proper custom recovery...i know i can flash the recovery later as well but i am confused that do i need to flash the MM based recovery as this rom is MM based.. Please help i dont want to screw my zenfone right now... i am too lazy right now to flash & then get bootloop & then again flash it stock...

When u wipe ur device enterely with TWRP does the moden Get deleted?
If you flash other cusotm ROMs through TWRP then no, you will not need to reflash the 21C modem. If you return to stock or flash Fulmics then this will flash a new modem. If you then wanted to return to an AOSP based ROM you would have to reflash the 21C modem.
