If you unlocked your bootloader, try it using

Just skip the binding process under developers option and start unlocking with mi unlock tool. Ur device will get unlocked without binding or 86006 error.

Unable to apply for unlock

Hi All, This thread is just for help required to unlock my Redmi Note 5 pro , I got my device yesterday and i want to unlock bootloader but the issue is when use this url http://www.miui.com/unlock/apply.php it directs me to http://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html instead going to apllication page.
Does any one have any solution of this.

I am not sure because once i had purchased the redmi note 4 long back that time i took permission and i unlocked my redmi note 4 but this is my new device i hav not taken permission for this device

M getting account not bounded and when i try to add account in developer option we get error 860006 n somthing in chinese

China stable is out not a developer rom and i think we can flash it via edl mode

For 86006 error
Please be patient, the error is reported to devs and they are working on it.
The error is caused as of errors with sync with china servers.
If you try to fix this on your own you can not.
If you have Made in India mark on your phone, it signifies you have this error.

No. If you bought from Flipkart or Mi and you got non made in India model (which can be verified by seeing the rear of box) then it means you won't face any 86006 error. However it is standard for you to go through 360 hours of time to unlock bootloader.

Due to vendor abuse (vendors use to unlock and install software crap) they added 360 hours waiting policy. It can't be skipped I searched for the same multiple times.

why honor 8 pro development stoped..

Guys, did any one knows what are the reasons behind no custom rom development for our devices.
It has very good hardware and a lot of developments can be done.

There are openkirin roms though!!! I did use the RROS gsi... It wasn't all that bad!!

Do you know if there is any possible way of unlocking the bootloader of a honor 8 pro right now (its on the newest firmware too :/)
Or rooting without unlocking the bootloader? I don't think thats possible though, is it?

There is no working method to root on oreo, even with unlocked bootloader.

I'd suggest not to upgrade to MIUI 10(especially if you have arb 3 ROM)

I guess, no. It won't but I'm not 100% sure. It's advisable to not upgrade.

I used to apply for unlock permission and it was granted but since I updated miui during that time it was apparently useless and I had to reapply. So better wait.

xiaomi with his stupid policy about unlocking bootloader is pissing me of, waiting for a month, is dumb too much

I updated to MIUI 10 and the unlock time did not reset. I'm now at 593 hours. YMMV

i also updated to miui 10 , it wasn't reset mine

the answer is no,the waiting time will not be reseted when updating to miui 10...i did the update today and the waiting time is still the same

Hello, I want to buy a Redmi Note 5 pro, so I talk with the seller at Aliexpress and he told me that the global versión has a lock bootloader but the china version with global rom don't (I readed the same thing here xd) so my problem is, i want to put custom roma in the phone, but also want the B4 band for 4G, thats the one my carrier uses here in Paraguay. So, it's easy to unlock the bootloader in the global versión? Or it is possible to add the B4 band in the china version? I readed a post that show how to add bands, but no one said something about the B4. Thanks in advance!:fingers-crossed:
