Honor 7x BND-L21 downgrade issue - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

Hello, more than a month ago, I updated my phone on emui 8.0 using the official beta program. I would like to return to emui 5.1, but when when I try to flash the FULLOTA file (UPDATE.app) with the official recovery, it fails and gives me an error. So I thought to install the rom with twrp, except that I do not find how to unlock my bootloader. On the site of emui, there is no more the page to unlock it by receiving a key. I would like to know if there is a solution to return to emui 5.1 without unlocking the bootloader, or if there is another way to unlock it without using the official site.

Will i get further updates for honor 8 pro after unlocking bootloader

Hello guys,
I have just unlocked my honor 8 pro and flashed new oreo update via twrp now i have one question in mind that will i get further official updates of honor 8 pro via OTA even after unlocking bootloader.
No.
Unlocking the bootloader by itself will not prevent you from receiving OTA updates (but every OTA will relock the bootloader).
Installing an unofficial ROM (or even an official one from another branding/region), or installing TWRP, on the other hand, will definitely prevent you from getting any more OTA updates.

Honor 7x Recovered from SERIOUS PROBLEM

Please help I have a honor 7x BND-AL10, I tried to install a firmware from firmware finder ,so when I checked for my build number the firmwares was not supported then I tried to check international verient BND-L21 , firmware finder approved for installation of emui 8.0.0 330, So I installed it but it bricked my phone and I was not able to boot it was directly taking me to the stock erecovery, my bootloader was locked . I tried factory reset many times nothing happened then I unlocked my bootloader from adb minimal software ,after unlocking it started and I have Oreo installed but that was of BND-L21 and I have BND-AL10, It started but my build Number is showing the old one which is BND-AL10C675B161
PLEASE HELP
Will I get the OTA updates or no ???
What should I do ?? Should I downgrade or I should install the rros ??
I checked for treble support from Treble checker it shows Treble is supported but it does not support seamless update as it does not have a partition ??
I have downloaded the update.zip from firmware finder of BND-AL10 8.0.0 .320 Should I install it from stock erecovery will it change my build no.?? Will it help??
try recovery in hisuite
I tried nothing happened ?
What will happen if I install the BND-AL10 8.0.0.320 that I downloaded from firmware finder from erecovery
There is No Face Unlock and Ride Mode in the EMUI BND-L21 8.0.0.330 Firmware that I installed .
if yours is a AL10 what you worried about messing up flashing it? it wont do more damage if thats what your worried about. i would try the 3 button combo / dload folder method to restore. if that doesnt work your only options will be warranty or a paid recovery software like dc-phoenix(18$)
I have unlock the bootloader so that has void mai warranty right ??? And when I relock the bootloader it's shows that phone relocked

How to revert to AL10 from BND-L21 with no unlocked bootloader?

Hello,
I have a Honor 7X BND-L21 bought from Aliexpress.
The phone's firmware was updated from AL10 by the seller before shipping.
I'm basically trying to get a bootlocker unlock code from the Huawei website but the site doesn't give anything after filling in my details.
I was wondering if it's possible to revert back to AL10 without unlocking the bootloader? I want to check if I can get an unlock code after reverting back to AL10 as it's the original firmware.
I've tried firmware finder and it shows there are new updates available but every time I try to install the latest update it fails for some reason.
Looks like I'm not getting OTA updates since I'm still on a security patch from October 2017.
Thanks!

If you download the dc- Phoenix tool you can flash what ever firmware you want with a locked bootloader or not the only thing is it cost 15 euros but it's worth it you get the tool for 72 hours

Tried downgrading my Mi Mix 2, have I broke my phone?

Hello. So, i have used the xiaomi.eu Android 9.0 ROM for a couple of days now. I saw that the new update is available, so I downloaded and installed it. However, this update boot looped my phone. I decided to flash the Global 8.0 version, knowing that I can do that since the phone doesn't have protection against downgrading.
Now however the phone is giving me security messages about 'find my phone' and "couldn't check secure device info". I could live without having to log in to my Mi account, however since downgrading my Wi-Fi doesn't work at all, and I am unable to get my phone verified to unlock the bootloader to flash the Android 9.0 ROM back (since it cannot check the secure device info). Is there anything that I can do?
I tried downloading the Open Beta ROM from here and installing it through the updater app, however the phone throws up an error about different Android versions.

I tried, however I got the message erase boot error. I'm guessing this is because my bootloader has been locked.
You can't use miflash with locked bootloader.Unlock and flash trough fastboot
Hi , try this method https://en.miui.com/thread-1351514-1-1.html, fix for me , but if you scary , unlock your bootloader first look at here https://c.mi.com/thread-1635834-1-1.html but never never relock the bootloader , you'll brick phone , if one day you use miflashtool choose "clear all" don't forget that
try this:

Can I flash a global version ROM to a Redmi Note 8 Pro CN version?

Hello all,
As a consequence of a recent OTA update to MIUI 12.5.2, Google Play and Google apps ceased to work on my Redmi Note 8 Pro (begonia) CN version. In order to have them back again, I am considering switching to a stock ROM for the global version of the RN8Pro.
Does this sound like a reasonable plan?
Are there hardware differences between the CN version and the global version of the RN8Pro?
Can I go ahead and flash a global version ROM over a CN version ROM?
Would this allow me to install Google Play and Google apps on the RN8Pro?
Thanks!
You can. You are not asking for impossible. But it will cost you your data as your phone will be wiped in the process.
The procedure is Unlock bootloader -> Flash Global/EEA/Indonesia/Xiaomi.eu ROM (but the guys at xiaomi.eu stopped the development of the ROM long ago, so only ancient version of MIUI is available) OR even a custom ROM (wichever you like). You will find the corresponding tutorial in this device's forum.
@kekesed97: Thanks!
After a one-week wait (Xiaomi imposes this waiting period for bootloader unlocking), I was able to unlock the bootloader and flash a stock global ROM to my RN8Pro. Everything went fine. The phone was working perfectly, with its bootloader still unlocked.
Then I fell into a trap.
After reading about things that would not work on a phone with unlocked bootloader (Google Pay, banking apps, etc.), I decided to relock the bootloader of my RN8Pro. Did that by running "fastboot oem lock" on a PC connected to the phone.
Relocking the bootloader kind of bricked the phone. The RN8Pro is now stuck in the menu for "MIUI Recovery 5.0", with the following message at the bottom of the screen:
"This MIUI version can't be installed on this device"
Is there a way out of this trap?

Some GooglePay and banking apps can be used after pass safetynet by doing something with Magisk. And you should read something about lock bootloader before doing that. China phone only can be locked with China Miui roms, by chose clean and lock on Miflashtool (best way to prevent brick). So if you want to do that, better downgrade to Miui 12.0.x to use Google apps and no more updates. And if anything else you want to be helped, join group on Telegram and get help.

Thanks, @Kirasu2080. Now I see that I should have flashed a MIUI 12.0.x China version ROM, rather than a global ROM.
But I still don't see how to fix things... Since phone is stuck in recovery with its bootloader locked, it appears as there is no way for me to downgrade now.

Use free unbrick hardbrick method for this. You can search Youtube videos, some solve problems, some not work, some make you lose Imei. That's why i told you join Telegram group for direct chat.
I have the global vesrsion of the Redmi note 8 pro. I want to flash the Euro version on it without unlocking the bootloader. Is this possible with the MiFlash tool?

You need to do the "EDL mode or Test point".
Lock xiaomi devices can be unbricked using that method.
Flash firmware using EDL or Test point mode. Please search in youtube.
