the thing that i hate about those skins its that the status bar its white and in a notched display looks horrible, and status bar option in the them covers the nav bar which its why i cant have both the new pie nav bar and black status bar unless someone made it
MIUI doesn't allow to change the navbar position. You can only flip them (back and recent position). To get custom navbar, use smartbar feature in cusrom that support it. AFAIK, RR, AOSiP, bootlegger have it. Here is example of mine, putting 7 buttons at the smartbar. I use them heavily for my quick shortcut and tied to automagic flow.

Hello, is there any solution to get a custom navigation bar on a non rooted Redmi Note 7?
I just need to add a soft button that enables me to scroll down the notification panel (a stock feature on LG phone, actually..).
Thanks in advance

Running LeeDrOiD 6.2.0 and GO Launcher (other launchers have been tried), is there any way I can make the status bar transparent or even solid black as the gradient bar kind of ruins my theme at the moment.
All the theming/modding links here seem to say they mess about with systemUI.apk which could screw up the ROM.
Removed Sense when installing if that helps.

Would absolutely adore a fully transparent status bar.
Seems there's only 2 of us interested but can anyone help or put my mind at rest and say it can't be done?
You can try this, should only inject transparent statusbar into your SystemUI.
Dont know, if it works with another Launcher than Sense, so dont forget to make a Nandroid-Backup before flashing!!!
LG, Helmut
Thanks for the suggestion. This mod changes the status bar in apps and the lockscreen but not Go Launcher home screens.
Will keep searching...
O.K., then GoLauncher uses another statusbar-background.png than Sense (using the one in SystemUI)
Dont know how to change it in GoLauncher

let me see what i can do.....
no that hard to do
EDIT : upload me your go launcher.apk , because market is giving me french version only...
Just in case anyone is interested, at some point GO must have implemented custom status bar support and it can be found here;
Menu (from home screen) > Preferences > Advanced settings > Support transparent status bar
I'm now running ViperX but I'm sure this would work across the board as long as your ROM supports and gives the option to change status bar transparency.
:good:
Due to the larger screen sizes that we have evolved to, i was thinking whether it is possible to bring the toggles in notification bar to the bottom of the notifications bar. It is easy to bring down the notification bar using gestures available in many launcher, but to toggle we still have to stretch to the top.
Wanted to know if this is possible. Not because I am lazy to stretch my fingers but basically ability to use the phone using one hand only, without dropping the precious
Thanks to all developers for making s3 so good.

Would be nice!
Hope someone can make this

Bottom toggles for Omega rom (android 4.3)
I'm looking for a mod for bottom toggles on Omega v54.
I've had that mod on android 4.1.2 and now a really need it, is it existing for 4.3???
i have been trying to make a mod like this ever since 4.3 was released, i think i am up to my 300th attempt.:crying:
Unfortunatly 4.3 is completly different compared to 4.2 as far as the toggles go.
The problem is that the toggles on the notification screen form the top row of the toggles on the toggles screen, so you cannot just lower the notification screen toggles with out effecting the toggles on the toggles screen.
I think that the toggles are controlled by smali code, not in an xml file, and unfortunatly smali code is like chinese to me.
+1 It is true that this component at the top is really not practical with a big screen !

In 4.3 , you have to edit both smali code and xml file. use smali tutorial it will help you to understand it better
Hi guys, I've been trying to figure out how to change the icon of the navbar for a few days now, still have no clue. It would be nice to have the Stock Android look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I see some theme on the market which have the navbar icons changed, so I assume that it is possible to some options (which I don't know about) in the Theme app to do that without rooting my M9, right?
Thanks in advance
Create a Theme here under Maker Pro
That allows you to change all icons and navbar stuff. I think it does anyway.

You have to use the pro -themer on the page.
Then nav icons and the clock widget have their own steps in the process.
Now... if someone can tell me how to hack the google icons inn instead of the choices htc give me... (they have one that is similar to stock but square is home and two circles indicate the task switcher. (and there is an ugly line on the back key))
i still can't find it

Thread title, really.
I've missed immersive mode on my 7 Pro ever since I got my 9 Pro, there wasn't any time I would ever turn it off on my 7 Pro and it's why I'm keeping it on Android 10. But Android 11 lacks immersive mode so I can't use it on my 9 Pro. I fear burn in so I've had my status bar permanently hidden (set to 0px) and I just bring it down with a gesture when I need to view notifications.
But even though the status bar is 0px, all my apps still know the holepunch is there and push the content below the holepunch / make a black bar above the holepunch. Is there any setup that you guys know of that ignores the holepunch? Bonus points of its on a per-app basis. I know Samsung phones can use Good Lock to accomplish this, and it's crazy that a phone that doesn't even need root can accomplish this but I can't seem to find a solution for my phone with an unlocked bootloader lol.
But yeah, I really just want a way to force apps to ignore the holepunch. Anything?

That's what I'm using to force my status bar to 0px. Unfortunately the whole ignore holepunch thing doesn't seem to work on OOS11. Unless you found some way?
Did you enable this in Dev Settings? It appears when you are using G-Visual mod

Yeah, but even after enabling, it only affects the status bar and no other app. Even in your screenshot, I can see your settings app pushed considerably below where your status bar is. Seems like a true immersive mode is just impossible on Android 11
Oh sorry I misunderstood you, the G-Visual mod makes the app go full screen (with status bar) in portrait mode.

How to enable change default keyboard switch key in the navigation bar?
So that I can change keyboards, such as Grammerly, Gboard or SwiftKey.

f-droid.org

You have 2-buttons layout configured instead of 3-buttons layout. Then you have also the switch keyboard icon. But not on the 3-button layout, there is no button as shown in the first message attachment.

I don't have 2 button navigation. And I don't have any option for 3 button. So my guess is you would need to modify your system ui where the navigation bar is located. Probably find a magisk module that can do this.
