Due to the larger screen sizes that we have evolved to, i was thinking whether it is possible to bring the toggles in notification bar to the bottom of the notifications bar. It is easy to bring down the notification bar using gestures available in many launcher, but to toggle we still have to stretch to the top.
Wanted to know if this is possible. Not because I am lazy to stretch my fingers but basically ability to use the phone using one hand only, without dropping the precious
Thanks to all developers for making s3 so good.

Hope someone can make this

Bottom toggles for Omega rom (android 4.3)
I'm looking for a mod for bottom toggles on Omega v54.
I've had that mod on android 4.1.2 and now a really need it, is it existing for 4.3???
i have been trying to make a mod like this ever since 4.3 was released, i think i am up to my 300th attempt.:crying:
Unfortunatly 4.3 is completly different compared to 4.2 as far as the toggles go.
The problem is that the toggles on the notification screen form the top row of the toggles on the toggles screen, so you cannot just lower the notification screen toggles with out effecting the toggles on the toggles screen.
I think that the toggles are controlled by smali code, not in an xml file, and unfortunatly smali code is like chinese to me.
+1 It is true that this component at the top is really not practical with a big screen !

In 4.3 , you have to edit both smali code and xml file. use smali tutorial it will help you to understand it better

Would love to see one of the dev's or themers incorporate the toggle mod somehow.
The stock toggles animation and lack of buttons I use is really annoying.
Here is a Euro SIII ROM with the toggle mod:

And here is Lidroid's original "how-to make the toggle mod" thread. It's for Gingerbread but may help someone anyways.

i think he was talking about 14 or 14 toggles to be view in one line.

Specifically, I want Lidroid's toggle mod that is used in conjunction with the app "Quick Settings" which allows you to choose which icons/functions you want to display in the pull-down menu. It even offers a flashlight toggle.
So you can have all 14 or 15 toggle options in a straight line. And just slide them back and forth till you get the one you want.
Or if you're like me, you can edit so there are only two or three (or however many you want) toggles available.
Just like in this picture (seanscreamz's Skyrocket):

No kidding? I searched that forum before posting here, but didn't find anything.
Do you have a better keyword I can use for my search? Or maybe post a direct link?
I'm on ATT and ended up flashing the TMO RedRum ROM before going to sleep. It indeed has what I want. But it's broken. At least for me. The QuickPanel Settings doesn't remove most (or all) of the icons I told it to.
edit: I think this might be it.

No issues Buddy. Other than the Status bar , you can use it freely like any other Launcher.
Hello people. I tried it on my FoxHound ROM. But I don't really like it so I uninstall it. Everything returns fine but for the lock screen I can't get back to my original one and thus screwing my lock screen. How now?

Hello all,
I have been wondering whether what I am about to ask is even possible, but I really do hope that there is some kind of magic trick that will allow me to achieve it. I understand that it might sound foolish, but please hear me out, and any kind of help will be much appreciated.
So ever since I moved to the GSIII, I was immediately on AOKP 4.2.1, and obviously with JB 4.2.1 comes the whole newly redesigned statusbar, like the one below. Now I'm on 4.2.2, which is of course not much different than 4.2.1

Now, I am a little unhappy with this statusbar, especially with the seperate tab for the toggles. I am probably much too used to the old design, but I feel it was simpler and faster. I know you can access the toggle section with a 2 finger down swipe, but the problem is, I hide my statusbar so I can't perform that method. Another pet peeve I have is the lack of the weather notification on the statusbar, like that in AOKP 4.1.2, shown below.
Please, is there any possible way for me to have the old style 4.1.2 AOKP statusbar, without having to revert to 4.1.2? Again, this may be a very stupid question, since I know it is an app or a modification but a part of the system itself, but anything that I can will be great. Please help. Thank you!
I'm not a dev but I think you're hooped my friend. I was originally like you and hatred it but now I have come to... Peace with it. I swipe down for notifications and up (nova launcher gesture) for toggles menu. The weather thing is an app or maybe a future addition to your favorite rom. I'm not sure if I'd switch it now if I had the choice. Hmmm
Sent from my SGSIII on Bell running Task650's AOKP
You can set a swipe shortcut so that when you swipe on the right or left side of the status bar it brings down the toggles, and when you swipe down anywhere else you get notifications.
Not sure if that helps OP, but that may help IAN1331 from using a swipe up feature of NOVA
I use Nova Launcher Prime, and I have a gesture (swipe down from anywhere not just top) to open the notifications tray. There is an option to open notification OR the new options panel. That way when you swipe down, it opens the old style one.
I think the old notification bar was better. I am shocked by the lack of my beloved, simple, and fabulous old toggle. :crying:
The CM 10.1 Nightly builds are the most stable, clean, smooth and battery efficient 4.2 ROMs available for our phones IMO, it is truly great that the group of people got them working so well on our aging phones. However I am very greedy. I admit this. My FAVORITE feature about AOKP ROMs was the status bar mods. Specifically, Ktempleton's Dirty Unicorns port for the E4GT has THE best customization options and I'm specifically just wanting the ability to center the clock in the status bar, and change the transparency of the status bar and lock screen tint in the settings. What made it so unique and convenient is because you could have the status bar be transparent ONLY for the launcher OR just the lockscreen and launcher, so you don't get the white status bar in certain apps with a completely transparent bar setting. Its beautiful.
Basically my conundrum is CM10.1 doesn't have the center clock mod/transparency settings of Dirty Unicorns, and Dirty Unicorns doesn't have the Voice+ mod and middleware patches for the SMS app like CM.
I have tried flashable mods for framework and SystemUI.apk, but they didn't stick. What I love most about the CM10.1 nightlies is the Voice+ app/mod, because I use Google Voice heavily, and also the stability and battery life I have gotten (36 hours in my past couple of discharges). Can someone help me out with modding dastin's CM10.1 to include the center clock and transparency options? I don't want or need the other AOKP tweaks, I just don't know where to start for only modding the status bar ROM control options.
Thanks.
It would probably be easier to just flash the Voice+ mod on Dirty Unicorns

The voice mod apk doesn't work on it's own, it needs the PushSMS middleware patches to work properly and there is no zip package I have found to implement those and it seems ridiculously complicated to do on my own as all I see is a bunch of code from the gerrit.
That is why I think it might actually be easier to add center clock and transparency to CM10.1 because that's just framework and systemui.apk tweaks. Still looking for a working .zip

Have you tried Xposed framework with the status bar module..
Hello. Using this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333075
I made little moded verssion of S3 notification drawer.
It looks almost like s3 4.1.2. Works only on Cm10. For now toggles are in Polish language but it can be easy translated to other languages by decompiling SystemUI.apk and changing few values in /values/strings.xml because text in toggles isnt PNG :]
Mod is lidroid 21 toggles :]
Thanks all people who made this Mods.
It looks almost like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But have rounded corners (like in s4) and "auto" brightness checkbox but is only Fake :]
Just try this MOD and report what you think about it (If you will like i will translate etc.)
P.S.
1) Sorry for my bad English
2)If anyone could port this to CM 10.1 or 10.2 it would be VERRY GOOD ;]
There still are things to change in the layouts and styles, resources to change, as some are from gingerbread (these toggles are from gingerbread afaik).
Nice job making this for CM10 users, I don't think CM10.1/2 users will have this.
But with small help this mod could make Cm10 verry good looking Rom :] I know 4.1.2 is "old" and theres 4.2.2 and 4.3 and 4.4 is comming but 4.1.2 is still Alive and good. Ill try to make simple Rom with this toggles and share it.
If you want to helop me i am open :] I am "newbie' in moding etc. but easy things i can do.
I just wanted to show that Mod like this EXISTS and can be used in Cm10 basen Roms for i9000. So Developers: USE IT :] Not exacly my moded verssion, meybe original and Thanks to its original Authors. I only pass on to you this Small Mod :] it works on Clean Cm10 because it replace SystemUI and Settings.
Every questions i anserw and every mod i did are mainly for my own needs but when i can i want to share it :]

The one that this rom has (CM10.1 base) is almost identical (and at the very least has the "Notifications" bar with a clear button)
Its just a lack of guides, but surely if someone PMd Sky_Walker asking for instructions then it should be possible...
