Moto z2 play india jio 4g roaming problem - Moto Z2 Play Questions & Answers

Hello there, i would like to ask you guys, currently my jio sim is in roaming (since I am currently living in another state) and a strange thing is happening, i can use the LTE data but I'm unable to receive calls or make a call using SIM 1, even the problem still persists after the oreo update, i thought there might be a problem with the sim card but it's perfectly running fine on my another android device, I've already formatted my phone 2wice after the android orero update so, can anyone please check or confirm is they're having the same problem with the MOTO Z2 PLAY INDIAN unit while ROAMING on JIO 4G??
PLEASE HELP

Go to Settings > More > Mobile Network settings > Access Point Names
Tap on the '+' sign on the upper right corner.
Than create new APN profile with the following parameters:
Name: Jio
APN: jionet
APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
Bearer: LTE
Leave all the other options as they are.
Then save this APN profile from three dots on the upper right corner.
Choose this profile now and restart your phone.
I hope it works for you.

You need to flash stock ..then apply the fix given for Indian users ...then backup esf and flash crdroid or resurrection or lineage and restore efs

This problem was solved by installing Gravity Box and enabling - enable national data roaming option

hii, i want your urgent help. I have MotoZ2 Play (XT1710-10) which has some issues i didnt look upon while buying the device as it was used for home. I want to flash Stock Firmware but dont know which one for Indian Variant. This can be found by using the CID (Country ID) value. ALL you have to do is run a simple fastboot command to get the CID:
This would not kill your phone or root/harm or to stole your personel info
I cant ask it in general bcoz CID changes with Model Variant and i have Indian (XT1710-10)
Poweroff the device and enter into fastboot mode (Power+Vol(-)) button
Code:
fastboot getvar all
this will give detail about your device , you can find
Code:
(bootloader) cid: 0xXXXX
Q.Why i cant get the same..?
Bcoz Mine CID is 0x0000 which is creating some issues
If i can know my Country ID (CID) it would be a great help in flashing my phone with correct firmware
Thanks!!

About APN configurations

Hi to all,
I have following problem with APN configuration: when I flash a new ROM the phone get the APN configuration values from the file system\etc\apns-conf.xml (file that is in the zip used to flash the rom), depending on network operator... Since most of the time this configuration is not corresponding to my data plan (my operator is Vodafone IT and data plan is "mobile internet" using mobile.vodafone.it as APN) I use to flash another zip "Cyanogen_APN-signed.zip" that I found here on xda forum... this zip contains correct APN coerent with my data plan...
This method goes well some time and some time not... (it went well with villain 3.3 and not with behero1.3.1)... Am I missing something?? Every time this method does not work as I aspected I lose 5 euro because I connect to wrong APN... (web.omnitel.it)
Could someone explain me what is wrong in my method??
Thankou!

BTW you should post in Galaxy Note 2 Q&A forum ( use xda device search engine to locate it)
A modem change might give you results only after you have checked your APN ,
Quick Guide
First Check your settings > about phone > status > your phone number ( IF UNKNOWN )
You won't be able to send SMS by any third party sms apps or Have a Network connection
Solution :-
You need to edit that "unknown" number to your phone number, by putting your SIM card on any old phone that has a "my number/owner number" option, (most old phones do). Edit and save it to the proper phone format as your Sim Card number (Example: +63913XXXXXXX). Now put the SIM back to M110S, to solve this problem.
Than check your system settings, in Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.(APN) as provided by your Network provider . If your Apn is not set, you wont be able to have data connection, so set it first
If still no data connection, Common Trick is to toggle WIFI and Airplane mode or
1. Turn ON WIFI
2. Set the phone to Flight Mode
3. Power down the phone for a few Minutes
4. Power it back up
5. Turn OFF flight mode
6. Turn OFF WIFI
Should get Data back

A520F restarts if I select 3g/4g

First I'm on official build. Not rooted and my phone is a520f/ds uae.
Yesterday I woke up to see my phone has no signal on both sims(different carriers)so I unlock the phone and it rebooted into a boot loop until I took simcards out.
Now I only can have 2g on both sims to function normally or either it reboots or says emergency calls only.
I flashed it with latest builds a couple of times and no lock.
Please help me.
HELLO?
Undo any debloating if any.
Install the stock rom of the firmware CSC relevant to the SIM and enter the stock recovery.
Contact your mobile network operator.
Create a backup and wipe data...
I do not recommend anything efs/pit, a backup is OK.
There are at least 3 tools to identify what's wrong with the cellular, while it's on the "emergency calls only"
Logcat, specifically logcat -b radio, can be used without root (usually adb), look for errors, if it can't be filtered by the radio log, search for "RIL" in the entire logcat.
*#0011#, look for mcc (mobile country code) and mnc (mobile network code), or plmn (both), for example mcc 310 (US) mnc 260 (T-Mobile). It should match the SIM, or try a manual network selection in the settings. Though this shouldn't cause a restart, RSSI is the signal strength of the frequency, RSRP/RSCP is the approximate signal strength of the cell, RSRQ,SINR,ECIO,rxqual are signal quality.
*#9900# (it is not 9090!) > run CP based log > copy to sdcard. It's in /sdcard/log/err, (internal storage)/log/err, /data/media/0/log/err, /storage/emulated/0/log/err.
LitmusLog: Scroll down to "### SIM1 Reject Information ###", a history of the error codes are below. For example, Cause:1. The plmn is basically backwards.
Protocol: Look for "attachreject" "t___ out of sync" "rlf unrecoverable", etc.
Cp_members: look for anything other than reject cause=0x0, and any error. Below the plmn, which can be seen with hex to ascii.
Then search for the 'error', or send it to your mobile network operator.

cannot get LTE communication with S4mini plus (i9195i)

Hello
Here is my issue: I buy a second hand S4 mini plus (i9195i - serrannoveltexx) for its compact size and by considering the simple usage I make of my phone. So far I do not use so much data so I don't care about used network, but recently I start using more data and I notice I never get LTE. I change carrier because I was thinking LTE-cover was the problem, but not. I still have no LTE. So below, is more or less everything I tested:
at beginning, I was few months on stockrom. Then I go to LineageOs 14.1 (thank to dev for the work). In both case I'm almost sure I had no LTE (I checked APN and 4g/3g/2g enable in network menu. And I start to check LTE-cover of each carrier . And I very start to check band used by the different carrier).
I change carrier and I check APN once more : still no LTE.
I come back to stockrom (just in case) : still no LTE
I switch SIM card : my sim card in Oneplus One get LTE and sim-card of my friend do not get LTE with my phone. (So I try copying manually the exact same APN : not working)
I try to flash old stockrom and let OTA update make the work : no LTE
I make necessary to have CSC=XEF as I am in France.
I try flash with pit-file and re-partition.
At the end, the best thing I succes to get was H+ (and for some reason I have it when I clear and restore the NV in 'service menu'), so :
-I contact samsung and they recommend me to go to one of their after-sales office.
-I contact my seller and he tells me that LTE works in germany.
Does someone has an idea how to solve this issue ? something that could block LTE ?
Next step I have in mind :
-I read some topic where double-flash within wipe and clear factory could help (but I have the feeling that will not work because it is more or less what have done to change CSC)
-I would check the activated LTE bands (but in 'service menu', I find a LTE band hexa-value that meet with explanation of binary description (another thread in XDA - thanks to people who write this tuto))
-I am considering go back to LineageOS but 15.
-I am considering to change LTE antenna (this is part of middle frame - I notice if I enable Data when i have 'service menu' opened, the phone seems to looking for LTE first, so I am not sure this is only SW problem ... do you think it is possible that only LTE part of such a SystemOnChip could die ?)
Thank by advance for your help
Best regards

Some older Samsungs eg Note 1 had reception problems due to poor connection (possibly oxidised contacts) that could be fixed by simply tightening the screw a fraction that secures the pcb or antenna so it was grounded (from memory) properly, though of course it could be your actual antenna that has failed. (possible cleaning contacts might be worth a shot if tweaking screw doesn't fix)
(or modem/baseband issue if software, try flash again or try another version, backup your baseband radio settings first with twrp or an app)
edit: also try reset network settings before paying for new antenna (edit: though suppose flash with pit etc should have done this)
Hello,
Some news on the topic:
I try to tighten the screw and I also try to clean LTE antenna contacts : I use very very thin sandpaper (usually used to polish) to be sure there is no oxidation
I also make the mistake to erase all EFSs and EFS_Backup
Reminder : in service menu (*#0011#), then 'UE Setting & Info' / 'Setting' / 'System' / 'NV backup test' / 'Erase all EFS 1/2/3' => So never do this if you have no backup
After this, I lost my IMEI... no way to restore it with IMEI tool... What a pity because I was hoping to only set my IMEI in order to test with completely clear EFS. Finally I restore my IMEI thank to my very first TWRP backup (thank to TWRP team that it works for me because it seems not always the case)
I try 3 times consecutive reset factory : 2 in recovery and 1 in settings.
I try to activate new LTE band but it seems that as I am in StockRom, update is not properly done.
In fact just after the work with QSPT and QXDM, I can find the nez band in service menu (*#0011#), then 'UE Setting & Info' / 'Setting' / 'System' / 'LTE band & CA combination. but after reboot I lose it. Probably I'll make the work one more time after coming back to LineageOS.
One last thing I want to try is going in front of 4G antenna and check signal power seen by the phone but I'm thinking this is not the true problem. I explain:
service menu (*#0011#) start to show Basic network information and if I force LTE_only (in service menu), I can observe these information. strange thing I see are sometime state goes to 'TAU_init' (and also 'deregistr' or 'register'). Some other time MCC-MNC goes to 151515-1515. I have the feeling the phone is trying to connect but something goes wrong and I do not know what...
if someone has an idea, I am still looking for.
Best regards

Unlock network bands, enable voLTE and 5G on nonsupported countries

Hi,
Other phone models can use EFS Tool, QPST tool to do all the mentioned tasks.
And some phones to do that requires rooting phone since they dont have Engineering mode, and some with Engineering mode support doesnt need rooting to use the mentioned tools for example OnePlus phone.
So my question, does LG phone also has this thing called Engineering mode? since LG wing is not supported for bootloader unlocking by LG yet.
Anyone has more experience with LG phone and perhaps the mentioned tool can shed some lights on the concern? Thanks.
Goid app. Well made
on LM-F100EMW,
1) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
2) go to Field Test > LTE Data Test > Tethering Mode, and select QMICM
3) go all the way back to first menu and go to SVC Menu> Port Check Test> Port Check Test and select enable
after that I am able to connect QPST. I used EFS explorer to fix CA-combos and carrier policy for my region/provider.
After doing your work, revert the changes to have a regular USB connection!!
for VOLTE first try to
1) make a new file or folder with name "enable_ue" (without quotes) on your phone's internal storage.
2) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
3) go to Field Test> Universal Enabler > Create New Config , enable VoLTE and confirm.
to add VOLTE indicator next to battery and signal strength on notification bar
1) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
2) go to Field Test > GPRI VoLTE/VoWiFi > IMS> select Sim Slot > Registration > VoLTE > and enable VoLTE Indication.
after all these
1) use dialer code #*462633*#100#
2) go to Field Test> IMS Settings> select Sim Slot > Test > Restart IMS process > select Yes
now you should have VoLTE enabled with notification bar indication

This is a good write up!Thanks for this! But,what modifications are you making in EFS Explorer to fix CA-combos and the carrier policies?I have a T-Mobile branded Wing, and I'm trying to enable VoLTE AND VoWifi for AT&T since this 3g shutdown went in effect?Mostly conerned with the VoLTE part because I can't make voice calls without it.Thanks for your help.

For volte i didnt change anything from EFS.
The changes i did in EFS was to add 5G for any carrier, because my carrier was not supported, and also to take the CA string from another phone's firmware, that my carrier has good support, and paste it where the outdated ca string was inside my wing's EFS.

I'm on T-Mobile firmware, and I have tried and no go.If you extract modem_a or modem_b from the firmware it has all the carriers listed.
Hi. I have LG wing unlocked dual sim. But not getting volte. Tried the hidden menu option. It is showing in settings but looks ims not registered. Can you tell if you were able to get Volte on LG Wing without mbn loading. Also if mbn loading is needed, what is the process and where do you find the files for LG wing Malaysia carriers that I can use. I have another Samsung phone and that is fully volte supported. Can I copy something from it?

Where are you located and what condition is your phone in? I've got an AT&T branded phone but I'm on TMO...maybe we can switch!
When I go to field menu in my Lg Wing, I go to IMS settings, it is completely blank. Someone please help me in registering the Volte in my Lg Wing. I am already rooted by able to patch the stock boot.img using magisk. My phone came with an unlocked bootloader and its the European firmware. I am trying to use this phone in Asia (Malaysia). Surprisingly, when I got the phone from the seller, it was not enabled volte but IMS settings in field menu would also show up (unlike now when I go there and it is blank), and also surprisingly, my volte worked also but by mistake I formatted my phone and after that it never worked. I then tried to flash the stock firmware and did root, installed voenabler but nothing seems to be helping.
I even tried loading mbn files of different carriers via PDC but no help. IMS settings always stay blank and volte doesn't get activated. Such a good phone but not able to work because my carrier here only supports volte.
If someone has an interest in helping, will be great.
How to edit CA String.

I will try to keep this post as small as possible. This will enable Volte for Phone ranging from Lg g8x, g8 and V60 without root or modifying the system files. Many have posted ways to get it, Iam only trying to help out the small bits missing...
forum.xda-developers.com
so i can just change my nt code to eu open with a korean firmware and volte and 5g starts working?
