Project Treble and Development...

I was about to get Mi A1 when I found out about Honor 7X... I always wanted a budget device with Project Treble and was really disappointed to find Mi A1 (which was My only hope in 2017) doesn't have Treble support even after Oreo update... I read that with Oreo, Honor 7X will have Project Treble support and Im super Excited about it... I have a few doubts... Even though it has been answer, I just want to be sure...
1. Will there be Treble for sure in Oreo (since its a Budget Phone and not a flagship like Mate 9 or 8 Pro)???
2. Is it for sure that it has a separate Vendor Partition which is necessary for Project Treble (There are methods to verify it and has anyone done verification)???
3. Will there be Good Development here as I Love trying something new and flashing new ROMs all the time (Im using Redmi 3S and it has Wonderful Custom ROM development with very active Developers and Im concerned I read complaints that Honor 6X had very less development)???
4. With Project Treble out, will ROMs created for Snapdragon devices with Treble work fine with Kirin powered Honor 7X (Since I have read only about ROMs developed for Kirin devices only working in Treble enabled Honor Devices, sorry if Im wrong as I didn't do intensive research)???

1. Yes there will be project treble when oreo is out
2. Yes one of the reason for treble to work is to have the seperate partition and it does thats the reason treble will work
3. No one can tell u this yet, but since Huawei is spreading its honor 7x all around the world more and team openkirin has the device so theres a better chance to have good development soon..
4. Why would there be a mix and match of roms? There are roms already available for our device but we are still skeptical if they would work so we havent tried them yet since it depends on the kirin processor number which matches with almost all the other devices having good development.. So they should work on 7x as well but again, we are not sure so nobody has tried it yet..
Good luck for you to chose your phone!
Treble should come (95% it will), because all Honor devices that got updated to Oreo (Beta or official) have Treble support
Since Huawei makes their own SoCs, porting Treble should be fairly easy. That, combined with the fact that they have ported Treble to even older phones (like the Mate 9), makes me fairly certain that yes, they WILL be porting Treble, and I would be genuinely surprised if they did not. Also, the fact that Treble separates the "low level" code, it shouldn't matter too much whether or not there are not many developers for this specific phone, as a OS developer (Like Lineage OS, Paranoid Android, and the like), can make a single flashable system.img for any Treble device! Thus, if somebody makes a ROM for the Pixel 2, it can run on any other Treble device, and this has even been proven with the Mate 9, running a clean generic AOSP ROM. Personally, I think it would be interesting to see Android GO ported to these midrange devices to see how fast they can be (and running, potentially, other non Android operating systems like Ubuntu, Sailfish OS, and others).

Is there any way to have Treble on the HTC One M8 ?

I'm actually using an HTC One M8 with Android 8.1 Oreo thanks to CrDroid ROM and the project Treble is not enabled on it, whereas all phones with Android 8.1 preinstalled support Treble.
So my question is :
Is there any way to have Treble on the HTC One M8 (a special TWRP version, a ROM compatible with TWRP...) ?
This is my first thread, plz be nice

No
And it really wouldn't matter anyway if there was a way to do it. Project Treble is for streamlining OS updates so that OEMs can get them out faster, and the M8 won't be seeing any more updates.
If you wan't to learn more about what Treble really is, you can read about it in this article

MIU12 for Capricorn (Mi5S)

Hello to everyone,
Maybe too soon to discuss this but, there may be some kind of port from miui12 to mi5 / mi5s in near future? Anyone know anything about it?
I think this hardware can support easier, it remains to know if whether at the SW level it is possible or not!?
Many thanks.
Mi5 will get unofficial Miui12 rom from a small group of devs this week. Once they had rom for mi5s as well but they dropped support a while ago. Rom thread here is closed because they didn't mention kernel source as I saw when I checked last time but it's not the reason for dropping support. Rom name is miuitr, they have a website now just Google it but no capricorn support as I mentioned, only gemini. This phone has so much potential with the hardware but unfortunately there are no devs supporting it, at least I wish there would be an updated gsi mod so we could get miui12 though gsi but gsi mod also not getting any update for 2 years. It's time for upgrade like they want(force) us to.
eny update?

Technical rom question

Is it technically possible to make a custom android 10 or android 11 rom for this phone?
Technically possible? Maybe? Will it be able to even run it decently? Probably not. This device is nearly 7-8 years old, it wouldn't be worth the hassle for the performance you'd get

If you are looking for something newer check out the LG V20 or V30 as they should be able to run a custom Android 10 or 11 Rom.

Question [A52s] possibility to install GSIs (like the 13 dev beta)?

Hey guys, I noticed that G released the GSIs for the dev preview/beta of 13. Would it be possible to install this on an A52s 5G?

Then are you a developer ???

The whole idea of treble and GSIs is to have an easier way to push updates of android to multiple devices while having to rely less on manufacturers and their cooked rom (General System Image, serperated from all the manufacturer drivers/bloatware/android flavours which ideally should be in /vendor/)
And yes I am a dev of sorts, albeit inactive/without project right now
