OEM Unlocked option is not coming in Developer option in Note3 neo. Can you suggest. I checked everywhere in developer option but it is not there.
Dude the OEM is not at all locked so there is no need to be an unlock option in the Dev. Options .
Hope it helped??

Usually in unlocked phones, bootloader can be unlocked using "fastboot oem unlock" command from platform tools. Android 5.1 in android one devices has a new security option in that, the above command works only when "Allow OEM unlocking" is enabled in developer tools. It's an added protection feature in case you lose your phone, the thief may unlock the phone and flash a new rom bypassing your pin/pattern lock.

Yep same for me.I tried to unlock with this allow OEM unlock off and it unlocked without problem, so I guess it doesn't work for our phones.

Do you have Secured lock screen (PIN, pattern, or password)?
It's useless if you don't have any of these setup.

I have a password setup on my phone.
I have a Micromax Canvas a1 and when I try to enable this option ..... Then a warning message appears saying that "Device Protection features will not work while this feature is turned on" Then there are two option buttons "Cancel" and "Enable" When I press enable it turns on for a second and turns of itself
any way to allow this option via fastboot..?
Not working
Hey help me I have spice dream uno when i try to unlock oem i get the option enable and cancel when i select enable nothing happens it remains unchecked
Hey guys and gals, I enabled developer mode and noticed that this device has the OEM unlock option not sure if that is similar to the nexus 6 as far as unlocking the bootloader to root but pretty sure it may be..fingers crossed and I wouldn't take any rom updates until we know further about root.
Yeah notice the same thing on my phone. I enable but not sure what it does yet.

The OEM Unlock does not unlock the bootloader, it only "allows" the bootloader to be unlocked.
If you don't allow the bootloader to be unlocked then you can't flash roms, kernels and you can't
root the phone.
This is why the verizon and at&t Note 5 and S6 Edge+ phones cannot be rooted and they cannot
have custom roms and kernels. They lack the the option of OEM Unlock because they have locked
bootloaders which is unlike our phones. The bootloader in our phones are not locked.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
My Verizon Edge+ has OEM Unlock on it, but I have no idea what it does. I'm searching the internet to see if anyone knows.

The important thing is to always leave the OEM Unlock enabled.
But as I said before, doing that will NOT unlock the bootloader.
It only allows for unlocking the bootloader if the bootloader is
unlock-able. (which is not the case with Verizon's bootloader)
Good luck,
Have a great evening!
ok....i have h811 tmobile phone....but for the life of me i can't figure out why i don't have the option in developer options? whatt will happen if i flash twrp witout enabling it??
hey bro did you figure it out? i also have a tmo g4 and cant find an option to enable oem unlock, ive tried all software versions available
I'm assuming you guys haven't unlocked developer options. Settings>about phone>software info>Tap build number several times. Once you unlock developer options go to settings>developer options and check Enable OEM unlock

All carrier models are bootloader locked and cannot be rooted. The only models that can be unlocked are the T830 and T835
I can't see the Oem unlocking option in developer options, is there a way to enable it that works? I have unlocked my device and recently reset it.
