I bought my galaxy s9 960F last week.
I have rooted that but the pressure sensitive home button does not seem to work. I tried setting the sensitivity to maximum. Still not working.
Read somewhere that home button needs to be recalibrated. Any ideas.??

Sometimes when I press my power button, wanting to power off the display, I instead get the lock screen. Has anyone else noticed this?
Start position is just the home screen.
Found another thread with similar issue but in that case it's a HTC EVO.

Is it possible that the power button is registering 2 presses, instead of 1?
What if you start with the phone turned off, then press the power button? Does it turn on, then off again?
I'm never able to reproduce it at will but I suspect you are right.
Sometimes the press on the power button isn't registered at all so I suspect it's a hardware issue.
Have noticed it since day one and I have had the phone for a month now.

Got it back from LG authorized service center now. New power button and new camera glass (that was another issue I had).
All OK, it was a hardware issue!
Hi there
Bought this second hand.
Was working fine, and all of a sudden the home button isn't working. I've tried a reset and a factory wipe/reset - still nothing. Google search doesn't really help. The back and menu buttons to either side of the home work fine, just the central home button which isn't working.
I know there exist software solutioons - but would rather get the hardware fixed/diagnosed.
Any help?
Thanks
I also have the same issue. My button is unresponsive, yet, the finger print scanner works. I was wondering if anyone had a similar issue?
Hi,
I have been noticing some problems in my Galaxy a5 2017 after updating to nougat (India).
1) the battery seems to be dropping much faster
2) screen does not go blank during calls. That is the proximity sensor should blank the screen when the phone is lifted to the ear and come on again once its taken off. But that does not happen at times and I have to restart the phone after which the problem goes away for sometime and reappears again. I have installed Smart Screen On/Off (from Luutinhit), Home touch and Volume on my phone.
I have installed Smart Screen On/Off so that I do not have to keep pressing the hardware power key all the time to lock the phone.
Home Touch is installed as I do not want to press the hardware home key all the time I want to go to the home screen.
Volume is installed to avoid pressing the volume hardware button all the time I wish to change the volume for each app.
Is anyone facing the above issues?? Also are the above installed apps responsible for the erratic proximity sensor behaviour??
If anyone could suggest alternate good apps that work well with finger print sensor I would be grateful.
Thanks,
Hi, a few months ago my home button gets a "lag", just not working. Then everything was ok. But now again it stopped working and probably forever. I can click to go to home but do not read the fingerprint and do not work gestures .. what can I do in this situation? The replacement of the button is rather off, because I have broken glass
I don't know if there is that have changed for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra but I am not able to capture the screen of my mobile phone. If I hold the power button it goes to the power off screen (as I have configure the side keays). But if I hold power + volume down buttons, it goes the same way (power off screen). The volume down button works properly using it alone. Is there any change on the Note 20 Ultra to capture screen by buttons? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year all
I've just used volume - with power and screen captured with no issues on latest ui3 official Three UK

Thanks for your help! I found my mistake in other forum. I just post it, just in case it happend to anyone else. I tried to hold both buttons, power + volume down. But I shouldn't hold them, just push then quickly. That didn't happen that way in my old S10
Happy New Year!
There is another option that my better half like to use to take screenshots. You can use your palm and swipe from the left edge to the right edge.
Its the option in Settings -> Advance Features - > Motion and gestures -> Palm swipe to capture
Thank you. I just registered for saying this.
I was trying to get a screenshot with my new Samsung Galaxy M23 for quite some time, with no avail.
Just clicking and letting go, not continuing to press solved it.
