Issues receiving iMessages? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

So I have an annoying one...stock everything but every once in a while (lets claims after an update but that could just be when I notice it) I stop reliably getting texts from my Apple friends. All other android/other texts come in fine and the apple users get my messages but I don't get theirs. I remember iMessage had a header on it at one point or something but I have no idea if that is still a thing.
Anyone else seem to have this issue? Both users in question are also on Verizon but other friends on Verizon not using iMessage have no issues texting me.

Just an FYI for those coming from iphone

I had a problem with my wifi constantly disconnecting. I found it was because I had transferred my wifi information from my iphone. When I reset the phone and built it up from scratch I had no problems. Bugged me for two days so I thought I"d post it if anyone runs into the same problem.
Also my wife texted me and I didn't get her texts because they were sent as imessage. If you still have your iphone (before trading in) log out of imessage. If you dont have it anymore, change your password for your apple id to something different. This should disconnect you from imessage and prevent text errors.

[Q] Developer edition on AT&T/iMessage issue

Okay so I disabled iMessage on my iPhone before my M8 was even active, its been over a week now and I have turned off iMessage on literally all of my apple products and for some reason I still can't receive some texts from certain iPhone users. One day it'll work fine and then the next day I don't receive them. This is also happening with some group messages too. My brother who is an iPhone user could group text with my friends and I fine the other day, and all of a sudden today I can't receive any of his messages anymore. I've already spoke with Apple and had them manually deregister my phone # from iMessage and apparently that doesn't seem to be working fully either. Does anyone else have this same problem or something similar and if so how did you go about fixing it? Incredibly annoying. Never had this issue on my AT&T branded M7 with or without the AT&T stock ROM.
This is completely unrelated to your phone. This is all apples issue with imessage. The phone number doesn't deregister properly from Apple. Therefore some people iPhones still think you have one yourself. Don't blame your m8 blame crapple!

I had the same problem with imessage after switching to Android. The issue was resolved through Apple after many days of problems. It is a known issue with Apple servers.

Same problem here. I called Apple and they said my number is not registered anymore and yet I still don't receive any texts from anyone with an iPhone. For sure on Apple's end.

My buddy had the exact same problem today.
He said he turned off iMessage in his phone before he deactivated his iPhone.
He also sent a text to 48369 with the word STOP (An alleged fix from Apple) and that didn't work either.
He called the 1-800 MY APPLE number and had them remove his phone number from the iMessage system and it started to work 30 minutes later.

Missing Some Texts on S9 - AT&T (Driving Me Crazy!)

I am having a problem that started a few months ago, although not when I first purchased my S9.
For some reason I started having a problem where I am not receiving all of my SMS texts. Its often MMS but also sometimes regular SMS. Its not only from iPhones. It seems to happen more when I am in bad service or the phone is off, and then when I turn it on or get service, the texts never come (although I think it may be happening in other circumstances as well - not sure).
I have been using Textra and Handcent. When I switch to the stock Samsung app, the missing messages are not there either.
I have read a lot online about people having this issue, but havent really heard anyone have an answer.
AT&T (of course) says everything is fine with the phone and the network.
I am hoping maybe some XDAers have encountered and solved this?
Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Well hate to break your bubble but AT&T is lying through their teeth about it not being their problem because it is. They're really good at doing that. On the plus side, your phone is 100% fine.

if its not in the stock app, its not your phone most likely. AT&T is historically known for lying through their teeth. Kinda shocked that they havent been forced to shut down by the FCC to be honest. They have a very pleasant and air tight outside appearance and they have accomplished some great things all while doing the right ting from time to time. They dont look so open and honest when you start reading reports on them. Funny part is that i recall reading hard copies of news bulletins about what wrongs they have committed and its not the easiest thing in the world to get that info online. Suppression tactics probably. Anyways, make a new APN and set it up with all the parameters, select it and see what happens. There are tons of threads on at&t apns spanning many device forums, and people have luck with differing, yet certain settings. Id check some of those out and make several APNs with that info. Youlll never have a problem caused by having eleventeen APNs on your device

MMS group messages out of order

Hi,
I've been searching for answers about this issue, but I haven't found anything for my specific problem (though I have found similar). I'm hoping someone here can help me, because it's incredibly frustrating.
I've had my OnePlus 7t for a few weeks now. I rooted it pretty much as soon as I got it. So basically, I live in a black hole with very little cell signal. I can almost never get calls inside my house, and text messages are often delayed. However, I've been texting my mom and sisters in a group MMS for years and never had this problem before. On my old phone, a Samsung Galaxy S8, same network, the texts might be delayed, but they would download automatically and still end up in the proper order of when they were sent.
Now on my OnePlus, they are ordered by when they are received. This makes it so that I only get part of a conversation on time, and the rest of it comes in several hours (sometimes many hours) later. I can't keep track of what is being discussed when I keep missing important bits. I thought at first that photos were more likely to be delayed, but it's really a toss-up as to what will come through and what won't. It only seems to be affecting the group texts, not individual ones. I should mention, they all have iPhones. I'm the only one using Android.
As far as troubleshooting, I've tried using a different default text app, I've tried using my Google Voice number instead, and I'm currently turning off MMS in favor of mass SMS to see if that will work. I don't know what other details to give really. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

Randomly not receiving texts from iPhones

I'm having an issue where I sometimes don't receive texts from iPhones. It doesn't happen all the time, but I'm not sure what causes it happen when it does happen.
Has anyone noticed this happening? I will call t-mobile to figure out of something is wrong, but I'm curious if anyone here has experienced the same.
I have magisk with adaway.
I have some iPhone people that i can't receive text messages and have read it's due to the iPhone imessage set up. Unfortunately those same folks don't know how to make the required changes on my contact details on their devices to fix it. Instead they opted to have their friends relay the text to me. Lol
