Moto Z2 Force Call Recording Issues - Moto Z2 Force Questions & Answers

Hi All,
Any help is appreciated and Thanks in Advance.
My Brand New MotoZ2 Force is catching all the back ground Noise while recording through ANY call recording software.
I played with the settings to put source as voicecall or mic but no avail.
I am starting to think its a hardware issue as the noise cancellation may bot be working.
So, can anybody relate to this issue or guide me to a resolution?
Phone is on latest Oreo 8.0.0 with March 1 Security Update.
Thanks in anticipation.

[Q] Disabling noise cancellation

Dear XDA community,
I've been searching for a way to disable noise cancellation feature when recording videos with my One X, but haven't found anything that would be an eventual solution to this problem.
The video recording sound is just awful...I'm on latest stock rom.
Is there any way to make some code changes to disable it? I'd root my phone just to fix this thing.
Thanks in advance for all the answers!

Issue with the microphone, it is fine when recording etc but on call, its very low

Hey guys,
Recently, I have been having this issue with the UMI Z, where the other person can not hear me very well. The microphone works fine for everything else, it is just during calls it is low, i literally have to shout for the other person to hear me. Is there anyone facing this issue or is there a fix to it? can i somehow change the microphone settings (cant seem to find such a thing)?
thanks, appreciate the help!
Must say nougat is running fine ...no issues at all
I have the same problem after updating (ota) fom 7.1.1 beta to final version

Turn off the noise reduction under phone -> settings -> calling accounts
Thanks...will try that...though I found it under Accessibility instead of Calling Account

Problem with Android 8.1 Beta and WhatsApp

Hello everyone, someone had problems with the Android 8.1 beta and the WhatsApp application? Since I updated, by pressing Play and taking the phone to my ear to listen to an audio message, it sounds through the external speaker (not the internal one). As if that were not enough, by plugging the proximity sensor the audio sounds with the volume of the Telephone application (not the multimedia one), which is usually quite high. If I discover the sensor, it sounds with the multimedia volume. Is it just a beta problem? Did someone else have this problem? Thank you all!
Sensor
I had the same problem. And issues with the camera too !! The photos with flash get black.
The final version of Android Oreo is also having this problem
Yes, same problem but I don't know a fix.
Did you report this to Google?
Same here, 8.1 final, got the OTA yesterday. A factory reset didn't help. I found this post on google forums about the issue: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/mlFRoZ07yq8;context-place=forum/nexus
I have the same problem, but in additon to that, while listening to a voice (coming out from the speaker whilt near my ear), if I receive any notification, the voice switches to the earpiece.
Before the OS update it was the othwr way arround, the voice was coming out of the earpiece correctly, but switches to the soeakerphone when I reveive any notification
I am using a nexus 5x
This is a known issue. It was first noticed / introduced in Android 8.1, around Dec/17.
It's not a problem with Android per say, but how the app implement or work with the platform. In other words, the app need to get fixed, adjusted to the new platform. Other apps, like Google Allo and Telegram have been reported to have the same problem, by some users.
I submitted a bug report myself to Whastapp and got this response:
Hi,
Thanks for your message.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We are aware of the issue and we are working on fixing it in a future update of WhatsApp. Unfortunately, we can't comment on any future release dates at this time.
Best Regards,
Murdock

Lot's of other people have experienced this problems as evident in googles forum. I'm new so I can't post the link here.
I recommend submitting a bug report in Whatsapp to influence them to make an effort to fix this as soon as possible. It's been 3 months already. To submit, in Whatsapp got to settings> Help> Contact us. Post a quick description of the problem, click next.

Whatsapp audio error

hello, since my nexus 5x is back from service with replacement motherboard, I upgraded to OREO 8.0 and then 8.1 both in stock and now with Twrp and magisk I have the following problem with whatsapp:
-listening to a voice message, away from face, the sound comes out of the speaker at low volume, bringing it closer to the face, the screen turns off properly but the sound always comes out of the speakerphone speaker at higher volume! never leaves the phone capsule !!
the proximity sensor works correctly.
some idea?
I already tried hard reset etc ..
I have the same problem, also motherboard replaced device.
I was looking for a solution and found this thread
the only temporaly help i found is to mod the audio with dolby mod, so i have the audio in the both speaker!
but it'snt helpfull! :crying:
I have the same problem, my phone is stock, not rooted and got the motherboard changed a few months ago. but i've noticed this particular problem just a couple of weeks ago. hope there's a fix!
P.S. the problem occurs just with Whatsapp, i don't have this problem on audio messages in Telegram
according to you, it's to send another time to LG asking for help?

Same problem here, only with WhatsApp. I would say the problem is related to Android Oreo, both 8.0.0 and 8.1.0, I have this problem since I updated my phone.
Same problem here but with Nexus 6P.
i don't think so... I really believe it might be related of Oreo update and something with the app itself... otherwise it would have happened in other apps too!
Same problema since I update to Oreo stock 8.1. ?
Same here. After updating to Oreo 8.1
Any Solution? ?
Now in telegram too

Downgrade from Android 8.1 to 8.0.
Search for: developers google factory images nexus
After this inactivate automactic system update on Developer options and keep 8.0 version until Google releases a version (perhaps 8.2 or 9) that fix this problem.

Speaker is crackly. Is this a LineageOS issue or a hardware issue?

Hello all,
We are running LineageOS 18.1 on the 3a XL. The speaker sound is crackly: when the phone rings it is at first very loud, crackles, then becomes so quiet you can barely hear the ringtone. Youtube videos work better, but still crackly.
There are a few google discussions about this here and here. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks for your help!
-Eric
Well, we returned it. On to the 4XL...
