HiFi on Zuk Z2? - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my playlists from mp3 to flac files, however I'm not quite sure if there is a real advantage of doing this on the zuk z2.
At this moment I don't have any real hifi headphones to test, and I don't want to expend some money until I am sure it worth it.
I have Resurrection Remix v6.0.0 rom by keerten and I had flashed the Sony Apps Enabler By Zenith so I was able to use the Sony Mobile Music app. I have transferred some flac files and the player was able to reproduce them, but I was using the speaker and I don't notice any real difference.
My question is, the fact that the player was able to reproduce the flac files means that the zuk z2 is able to reproduce real HIFI?
Is there anything else I need to activate/modify/install?
thanks in advance

Somewhere on this forum I read paranoid rom for zuk 2 supports high bitrate music playing and I tried it and actually it worked, I used radsone music player and even tried poweramp with Sennheiser cx 213, try it yourself to believe.

AAC+ playback issue

Hi,
I recently bought a Galaxy W (Middle east), The phone is not able to play aac+ or eaac+ files properly. 1st thing is it wont even recognise the tags, if i use media fixer then the phone will recognize the tags, but the quality is very low.. ie the phone is not recognizing the file as aac+ or eaac+, its recognizing as aac, so aac+ at 48 or 64kbps is playing as 48/64kbps normal aac. If anyone is able to play eaac+ or aac+v2 file in this phone with audio effects in default player, please mention your firmware version here.. my firmware version is JPLM7_ojplm4
nobody in XDA has knowledge about this! ?
Anyone? no one here use HE-AAC files? Is there any workaround or fix. Is anyone able to play 64kbps encoded HE-AAC music files in this phone with quality? 64kbps HE-AAC is supposed to give 192kbps Mp3 music quality.. i've been using HE-AAC on my xperia and previous smartphone.. however HE-AAC files are not at all working properly with samsung phone, its not androids fault as my xperia can play them. However samsung wave 3 and galaxy w is unable to decode them properly, they are decoding HE-AAC as LC-AAC
have u tried using another music player from playstore ?

Players with its own codecs will play the file.. ie players like jetaudio, but players (ie MIUI or doubletwist) which use decoder that built in stockROM will not be able to decode HE-AAC files properly, they decode them as LC-AAC. Is there any fix available for the inbuilt decoder in stock ROM. I am using Jetaudiopro now to play tracks. I absolutely hate MP3 files, AAC audio is much cleaner and Opus codec is much better. Sadly, the only player that support Opus playback is rockbox for android.
i guess ull have to contact any dev thats interested in audio codecs so he tries to implement ur desired codec into a rom (or figure out a mod that can b applied in any desired rom )

i am looking for best video player for my xperia s.i am using mxplayer right now.its a good player with sub support.but when playing videos on my built in xperia movie app i feel true surround sound after turning on surround sound mode on and dynamic normaliser on.then i played the same video on mxplayer i feel shame. mxplayer is nowhere near sony movie app.sound and video great on sony's movie app.is there any app can give great surround sound on my xperia s while watching videos.i tried h/w and s/w settings on mxplayer but both are not comparable with sony's surround sound mode.only disadvantage is sony's movie app is not support subtitle.so i am still using mxplayer for watching movies.is sony will add subtitle support?,i m sure my xperia s doesn't get any updates.anyway waiting for reply from experts........suggest me application with sub support and surround sound.

There is subtitle support in the Sony Movies app, at least in version 5.3.A.0.18. I don't know what kind of subtitles though, not .srt files. But I only tried the app on my Nexus 7 (it wouldn't be very different on my Xperia S since that's running CM11). It might refer to movies you rent from the Video Unlimited service. Anyway you can also just use MX Player and some kind of audio enhancer like V4A to change the sound. Just be aware that that "surround" effect you want is actually fake. Stereo is designed in such a way that when you're using headphones and watching a properly recorded video, your brain will process the sounds and and it will sound like surround. No need for software tricks.

how to install v4a. can you give me the link.is there any problem using it?mine xperia s firmware 6.2.b.1.96 and rooted.and also installed cwm.is this v4a enhancer work with mxplayer?
I don't know, I never use audio enhancers and I also don't use stock ROMs anymore. Anyway audio enhancers should work for all your apps, so also MX Player. Look up Viper4Android Xperia S. There should be a thread in the Themes&Apps section.
I thought that in stock your equaliser audio settings work for all apps, the Walkman settings I mean. Can't you edit them from Settings/Sound or something.

Here you go - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
As Redstarr1 has said, it's effects will be observable on all apps including MxPlayer, YouTube etc. I use Viper and I can confirm that it works with Mx
In fact Viper even works on kitkat. I'm using Walkman+Mx+Viper on Carbon Rom (4.4.2). So if in case you're sticking to the stock rom only for Sony's media apps, you can even give kitkat a try

Loud mp3 player

Hello
I want to use my Xperia M only as mp3 player.
Does someone know a rom with loud mp3 player?
At this moment i use last linage rom, resurrection remix i tried too.
All "Boost mp3" apps dont work.
Thank you
feuerossi
You'll need a soundmod, try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/soundmod-6-0-hana-audio-engine-for-xperia-m.3524294/
(please note that I never tried this mod so don't know if it'll improve volume, but I was satisfied with Sony sound enhancements port by wolmannight (?) I think (not sure, my device died in april 2019))
Don't forget to make a backup before flashing
Thank you, will try it tomorrow.
The App "Super Loud Speaker" from Google Play Store works too, but perhaps Hana will be better.
I will reply
Doesnt work with my Aosp version.
