Someone I know recently bought a Non US S9 dual sim and is using tmobile on it. They don't have VoLTE, Wifi Calling, or Video Calling options. Is there a way to flash the Tmobile firmware to this and get those things working? Also will the Tmobile bands be working after flashing?
I'm in the same situation as well. Bought a SM-G9600DS and it doesn't have any of these features - VoLTE, Wifi calling or video calling. VoLTE and Wifi calling menu options are missing from the settings > connections menu or from the dialer > settings menu. The video calling option is there on the dialer screen but it doesn't work. I am not interested in video calling but would prefer the other two features.
Called US T-Mobile tech support to see if they can provision WiFi calling but they said they won't be able to do any such "provisioning" and these features will not be available unless the device has them.
Does anyone know a way to enable these features for T-Mobile US on the first SIM card? Not necessarily flashing the T-mobile ROM but perhaps installing the wifi calling apks or something (pardon my dumb question)? Thank you!
Same situation. Have either of you figured out how to do this?
I'm in the same boat
I'm in the same boat - I have a SM-G9600 and trying to use on T-mobile with no Wifi calling / visual voicemail etc.
It seems that the latest T-mobile firmware is available here:
www . sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s9/SM-G960U/
The question is, can we install at SM-G960U on the SM-G9600 successfully?
Has anyone done this?
I'm have v2 bootloader on my S9 G9600/DS with OWO 2ARE6 firmware. I want to flash to T-Mobile US firmware which also comes with bootloader v2. Apparently, this requires flashing to G960U1 (US unbranded Snapdragon) first, but that only comes with bootloader v1. Does anyone know how to get to T-Mobile firmware in this case? Is there a way to rollback to the v1 bootloader on the OWO dual sim firmware? If I just flash the T-Mobile v2 bootloader without first flashing the G960U1 unbranded firmware, will it work? If the process fails, is it easy to get back to the v2 OWO firmware?

Test n find out. Never know until you try.
i woukd highly recommend against flashing firm from a different device to ur phone (yes, they are different.)
i got a solution for one of you though if u have an s9+, ill trade my locked bl g965u lol
I tried flashing the US unbranded firmware with v2 bootloader (G960U1UES2ARF4/G960U1OYM2ARF4/G960U1UES2ARF4/G960U1UES2ARF4) onto my G9600/DS with v2 bootloader. It failed with a "Re-partition operation failed" error. I had checked only Auto reboot and F. Reset Time in ODIN options. Does anyone know if there is still a way to flash?

You are clueless. Trying to trade open bootloader and root for mere volte and wifi calling. I don't know what are you doing on this site

Alright so I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded a copy of the pre-borked Note 7 firmware and I'm trying to flash it through ODIN. Every time I try, I get errors on both the phone and on the software.
I've been Googling all day and I can't find an explanation or a workaround. Can the experts here help with this?

for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7(SM-N930T), by freeza
Good thing it failed, thats for T-Mobile, if it completed it would have bricked your phone. I am searching also for the AT&T version
I believe that the SM-N930P version is for Sprint. My carrier is Sprint
From my understanding, the firmware available online, which ends in PH1 has the old bootloader. Once the battery warning update hit (Green Battery Icon for those who have the replacement model) the firmware came with a new bootloader and firmware version ending in PHE.
Because of this, we cannot flash PH1 due to the bootloader change.
The 60% battery update (PK1), I BELIEVE, still uses the same bootloader as PHE.
The only solution I think would be as follows:
1) Immediately disable any future software updates. (We dont want another bootloader change)
2) Someone needs to find and or upload the PHE version firmware (which lets you charge 100%, and only has the annoying original message sometimes)
3) Backup everything.
4) Using the methods described in other places, flash the PHE version, charge to 100% and deal with only a few warning mesages. (Phone startup and Attach to charger)
4) Immediately disable any future software updates by following the instructions for Package Disabler PRO or EZ Disabler. (Making sure you're on airplane mode, SIM card out, and wifi is turned off)
These are my thoughts. I cant seem to find PHE firmware anywhere. One place has it supposedly, it seems shady cause the download link goes to an arabic website and the forums require you to pay for each download. (hmmmm.....)
I could be 100% wrong, Im not an expert by any means, just another user trying to join the community to help find a solution. Can anyone confirm Im wrong and they have been able to somehow flash the PH1 baseband firmware? Any and all help would greatly help me and the many others who have been held down by the man
SM-N930A Update
I have the N930AUCS1APH1_N930AATT1APH1_ATT_FULL_SAMFIRM.NET ROM with 4 .md5 files in it (BL, AP, CP, and CSP) and I can not get the phone to flash using Odin 3.12? Any ideas on what to do? This is my log, but basically just says failed!

Here is the PK1 firmware image
Hey guys, I am going to give you guys looking to get back to 100% charging a good new. I found the PK1 image for AT&T Note 7 N930A version. I just re-flashed my phone and it worked just fine. Got to charge my phone back to 100%. Got the green battery sign back. Here is the firmware image.
androidfilehost.com/?fid=312978532265363403 (I had to skip the www prefix because I am not allowed to post url at the moment. You guys know what to do with it. Just copy and paste.
Had to use Odin 3.12.3 version. I tried with Odin 3.10.7 version but got Odin protocol version error. So use Odin 3.12.3 version. Good luck.

Got to check my spelling. PHE. Not PKE.
Thanks hachika88, that worked great. Does anyone know what I need to disable to prevent it from updating again. I have disabled com.samsung.knox.appsupdateagent and com.ws.dm, but is there anything else that should be disabled?
Use this link to go back to 100% on Rev 2 Firmware flash win Odin 3.12.4 or 3.12.3

Use Samsung Package Disabler Pro to disable Software Updates apk but you must do it fast after you reset your phone because once your phone checks for updates you can no longer disable it. Keep your SIM card out the phone and disconnect from wifi until absolutely necessary to get it disabled.
Good Luck
I used abd script to block th updates instead. A friend had her phe firmware pulled so that people could use it. If you look

USC is US Cellular
For Verizon you should flash this:
Unlocked with Verizon info - Here is your link: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=6CD1C6D99B4511E7963AFA163EE8F90B
Unlocked Clean (Verizon info after SIM provisions) - Here is your link: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=7FADCAA69B4511E7963AFA163EE8F90B
Both will work and have no bloat but with original logo and Samsung apps...the Verizon version makes provision easier I believe...but are essentially the same..

The firmware you mention is for US Cellular carries doesn't it?
That firmware is the USC firmware...the XAA Unlocked Firmware has not dropped yet
I've been trying to flash the TMobile newest firmware to my unlocked Verizon Note 8 but for some reason the flash didn't occur. It ends with the code:
all threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
And the installation never starts, is this normal? for VZW phones can i only flash n950U1 firmwares and VZW?
I've downloaded the XAA (no carrier bloat) note 8 firmware today N950U1UEU2BQK1, when i enter in download mode and connect to odin, it recognizes the phone but when i click on start it never starts flashing, below the odin log:

You can but wouldn't you lose the advanced messaging features and things like VOLTE? Personally I couldn't care less about the advanced messaging but the VoLTE would be important to me.

Changing frimware from UAE to India - Resolved
Issue resolved. I first uploaded only the India specific CSC using Odin, then factory reset the phone, then I uploaded only the AP file, again factory reset the phone as soon as it booted, then uploaded the BL & CS file and again factory reset the phone. Now the CSC has been changed to INS.

Hi, i'm a noob..i wanted to flash LineageOS/Android 11 on my samsung galaxy note 4 n910f so i rooted but was finding difficulties with twrp booting after a successful flash so i tried flashing back stock firmware of the note 4 via odin but failed every time, because of that i couldn't boot into recovery anymore but could boot into odin mode.I tried repairing the recovery so i flashed the boot img of the lineageOS via twrp mobile app which flashed successfully by surprise..now phone bricked with secure fail:Kernel,Start Up Failed,i've used the verizon repair assistant and various repair tools i could find but to no avail. Everything is gone but i can boot into download mode...I've tried Full Firmware N910FXXU1DRI2_N910FOXX1DSB1_6.0.1 with it's pit file to repair via odin too but fail all the time. Please i need help anyone here?

I have Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. At the back of the phone it says the model is SM-N975FD 256G. However, in the software, the model is given as SM-N976N/DSM, the CSC is N975FOXM4CTE9, CP is N976NKOU1BSLA and AP IS N976NKSU1BSLB.
This phone seems to be working with most functions, but the S-Pen has connection problems and the phone cannot connect to Samsung servers for automatic updates.
I am trying to correct this by flashing official stock firmware to ensure its does not fail to get automatic updates. I was about to flash N975F....... in an effort to match the model written at the back of the phone believing that my vendor sold me a device that was tampered with.
Will I be right to flash N975F...... replacing the N976N....?
Please help. I want a phone that is based on official firmware. Thank you in advance

SM-N975f is the Note 10+ and SM-N976n is the Note 10+ 5G.
Type *#0*# and go to version, you will see the model here.
To be one more step sure, type *#06# to see your IMEI number, then compare with the given in the box.

Thank you SubwayChamp. There is indeed something fishy about this phone. The model is given as SM-N976N as mentioned earlier. However, the serial number given by *#06# is different from the serial number stuck at the back of the phone.
So my question now, which is the true model for this phone? How come it has both N975F and N976N in its firmware packages?
If I have to use 1 type of firmware, which 1 should I go for 975F or 976N?
Unfortunately, I do not have the box - I will have to hunt for it
Your assistance is most appreciated
Thank you

I believe the issues I am experiencing are a direct result of these mismatches. The S-PEN is not connecting and its not getting updates. I really want a phone that updates on its own automatically

By dialing *#06# you get the IMEI, did you see the IMEI in the back cover too, or you opened the back cover? Can you type your IMEI in a site like this https://imei.org/ or similar? And see what it throws.
If the AP and CP partitions were flashed with the firmware for N976N then I have to assume that you can incline to this firmware as they're the most important parts, probably the last user flashed the CSC for N975F to have better signal and regional compatibility.
Also, you can check in the stock recovery screen, and see which original firmware came with.

I have checked the box in which I received the phone. The label shows that its SM-N975FD Samsung Galaxy Note10+. The IMEI number is the same as that returned by *#06#.
I suspect the phone was tampered with and loaded with Note10+5G firmware for some reason.
Given this scenario, can I flash this phone with Note10+ (SM-N975F). I am afraid of bricking the phone, but I just want my phone to be official.
Please assist.
Thank you

Checking on IMEI.org shows a Galaxy Note 10+
Also the back label and the box label shows the model SM-N975F which is again Note10+.
I am tempted to try out the Note10+ firmware. I pray that I will still have a working phone at the end of it all
Thank you very much. I will update on my progress

Probably the irrefutable question, how much did you pay for? (don't tell me how much) Is it worth for a Note 10+ or for the 5G version? It might be a noticeable difference. I'm inclined to think is the N10+.
Both firmware are compatible although not totally suitable, for any of them, just may encounter some glitches or unexpected results/behavior.
Guys, I am still struggling with the problem above. I have tried to flash the Galaxy Note 10+ firmware to resolve my odd situation. I am however failing (See Log below) What could be the problem. I get the error " ....<ID:0/004> Re-Partition operation failed.....". Re-partition check box is not checked

Use a different Odin version, a modified one like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/patched-odin-3-13-1.3762572/ if the problem persists probably you need to use the re-partition option as it seems your device was previously flashed with a non-proper firmware.

I took a lot of time to give feedback, I had been away and did not try the flashing until today.
Your guidance have been very helpful Subway Champ. I hope you can still be patient with me.
Unfortunately, I still cannot flash the phone. I have tried several versions of ODIN with various error messages. When I check re-partition, it takes me a step further, but still fails with an error that it cannot open a specified file.

It seems a restriction related to your PC/OS.
- Move the firmware to your main directory and rename it as simple as GN10 (for example).
- Run the tool as admin.
- Check the antivirus.
- Uncheck re-partition option.
- Use a different Windows version.
- Use a different PC.
- Try the firmware from GN10+.
- Try firmware from both models.

I believe the original case was broken and replaced with the wrong model number.
I had this problem from purchasing a unit on Ebay. When I contacted the seller, he said the case had been replaced with a different model unit and that they do this all the time. I requested and received a full refund, (primarily because the case was a little lose and did not match the model displayed on the software.
